Fall Quarter Comments
Reconnect with What Brings You Joy!
Reconnecting with what brings your soul joy is a healthy and important way to remain engaged and connected. When you serve from a filled cup, you can serve more with gratitude and zeal. Finding joy each day is not an emotion, but a decision. When you wake up each day, you may be faced with many situations and circumstances that attempt to steal your joy. For instance, a misunderstanding, a rude driver, an aggressive co-worker, an unruly child, or an abrupt change of your plans. I often find myself letting a minor occurrence rub me so much the wrong way that I remain upset about it for the rest of the day.
Thankfully, God has shown me it’s not healthy and fruitful to allow my emotions to dictate my state of mind and outlook. He desires for me to seek the “joy of the Lord,” Nehemiah 8:10.
When your emotions consume you, you are allowing yourself to remain frustrated, exhausted, and generally not at peace. That’s why finding your joyful place is a daily commitment, where you make a conscious decision to let God be your peace and anchor every day.

Blessings in Jesus’ Name, Minister Waveney Arthur, Adult Superintendent, Greater Emanuel Apostolic Temple, Department of Christian Education
Praise the Lord, and Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
We stand today as living testimonies of His goodness, His faithfulness, and His unchanging love. No matter what we’ve been through, we are still here, clothed in grace, covered by mercy, and strengthened by the Word for the journey ahead.
Let this be a reminder of the power of God’s Word! Walk boldly, stand firmly, pray fervently, and above all, love deeply. We are a people of resilience, a people of power, and a people of faith. We have come too far to turn back now. We have prayed too long to doubt now. We have endured too much to give up now. Hold fast to His promises, trust His timing, keep your eyes on Him, and He will order your steps.
Let’s keep pressing, keep believing, keep praising, and most of all keep reading and studying the Word of God to show ourselves approved, for the best is yet to come!
Sincerely,
Sister Viola Kitchen Director of Christian Education

Greater HUGGS support meetings are held every third Saturday of the month, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Greater Recovery Ministry
The Greater Recovery Ministry is an outreach program dedicated to supporting individuals struggling with the psychological, spiritual, and behavioral effects of addiction. Our goal, guided by the love of God, is to help individuals achieve complete deliverance from various types of addictions. We provide encouragement and support throughout the recovery process, believing that Jesus has the power to free you from addictions such as alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, the internet, nicotine, co-dependency, shopping, and more.
The curriculum for the Greater Recovery Ministry is based on the vision of our Senior Pastor, Bishop LaVelton J. Daniel, who seeks for "All Souls" to experience freedom from the "World of Negative Addiction." The program consists of 12 Godly principles that will be discussed weekly in a support group setting, facilitated by trained leaders.
For our youth participants, the curriculum focuses on drug prevention and education. We can schedule a convenient meeting if you or someone you know needs support. Please direct all inquiries to In-House Pastor Evangelist Melvina Pounds at melvinalbs@gmail.com.

Fall Quarter Theme: God Is “All” That Review the Zoom Sunday School Lessons on YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/@GreaterEmanuelSundaySchool
Unit 1: God Is Always Present
September 7, 2025: Lesson 1: In the Beginning: Genesis 1:1-13: Teacher: Sister Carol Wade: Golden Text: “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Genesis 2 This quarter’s lessons will focus on the attributes of God. One of those attributes is that God is “Omnipresent”; He is always present, everywhere, and present at all times. There has never been a time when God did not exist, and there will never be a time when God does not exist. Our first lesson on God’s attribute of being omnipresent fittingly begins with Genesis, chapter 1, which records the beginning of all creation and presents God existing before the creation of the world and anything in it. The lesson is not just about creation but about the eternal God who transcends His creation. Creation reminds us that God is sovereign over creation and everything and that God is generous, affectionate, and benevolent to us.
September 14, 2025; Lesson 2: Before All Things: Colossians 1:15-23: Teacher: Minister Maurice Henderson: Golden Text “And He is before all things, and by im all things consist.” Colossians 7 Last week, we began our study of God’s omnipresence with is existence before creation. This week, we study a passage emphasizing Jesus’ preexistence as the Son of God. The Colossian believers were under attack from false teachers who urged them to engage in practices not required of Christ’s disciples. Paul wanted the Colossians to know they could trust Jesus Christ as their Head and that Christ had preeminence over all creation (Colossians 1:15-17). God always existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God revealed Himself in Jesus Christ God is the God of the universe Jesus is the “image of the invisible God.”
September 21, 2025: Lesson 3: In Heaven and Earth: Jeremiah 23:18-24: Teacher: Minister Pam Ruffin: Jeremiah 2 24 “Can any hide himself in secret places, that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” In this week’s lesson, we studied the question, “What is truth?” The whole book of Jeremiah deals with and teaches us that God is Truth; it is an attribute of His character (Exodus 34:6 “And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,” salm 08 4 “ or thy mercy is great above the heavens and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.”). The prophets in Jeremiah’s day were not walking in or speaking God’s truth, just as some are not walking in or speaking God’s truth today. No one can hide from God’s omnipresence, and that means no false prophet will ever be able to succeed. We can only be in one place at one time; however, God is Omnipresent – He is everywhere at the same time. God exists in heaven and on earth; no one can hide from God. Psalm 139:7-8 “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.” When we face difficult times and wonder, Where is God? Remember, God is Omnipresent; He is everywhere, He fills Heaven and Earth.
September 28, 2025: Lesson 4: Nothing is Hidden from God: Psalm 139:1-16: Teacher: Sister Sandra Wyatt: Golden Text salm 9 7 “ Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” In this last lesson of Unit One, we continue to explore God’s attribute of being Omnipresent. The facts of our lesson are that nothing is hidden from God; He sees all and knows all Hide-and-seek is a popular children’s game; however, we don’t need to try to hide from God, e knows our thoughts before we even think them. Before we were even born, God knew everything about us. We can take comfort in the fact that God knows us completely. We can take comfort in knowing that God is with us wherever we go, even in the darkest circumstances of our lives, which are not too difficult for God. We can take comfort in knowing that God has a plan for our lives and that we can trust His plan. Hebrews 4:12- “For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”
