Reconnecting with what brings your soul joy is a healthy and important way to remain engaged and connected. When you serve from a filled cup, you can serve more with gratitude and zeal. Finding joy each day is not an emotion, but a decision. When you wake up each day, you may be faced with many situations and circumstances that attempt to steal your joy. For instance, a misunderstanding, a rude driver, an aggressive co-worker, an unruly child, or an abrupt change of your plans. I often find myself letting a minor occurrence rub me so much the wrong way that I remain upset about it for the rest of the day.
Thankfully, God has shown me it’s not healthy and fruitful to allow my emotions to dictate my state of mind and outlook. He desires for me to seek the “joy of the Lord,” Nehemiah 8:10.
When your emotions consume you, you are allowing yourself to remain frustrated, exhausted, and generally not at peace. That’s why finding your joyful place is a daily commitment, where you make a conscious decision to let God be your peace and anchor every day.

Blessings in Jesus’ Name, Minister Waveney Arthur, Adult Superintendent, Greater Emanuel Apostolic Temple, Department of Christian Education
Praise the Lord, and Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
We stand today as living testimonies of His goodness, His faithfulness, and His unchanging love. No matter what we’ve been through, we are still here, clothed in grace, covered by mercy, and strengthened by the Word for the journey ahead.
Let this be a reminder of the power of God’s Word! Walk boldly, stand firmly, pray fervently, and above all, love deeply. We are a people of resilience, a people of power, and a people of faith. We have come too far to turn back now. We have prayed too long to doubt now. We have endured too much to give up now. Hold fast to His promises, trust His timing, keep your eyes on Him, and He will order your steps.
Let’s keep pressing, keep believing, keep praising, and most of all keep reading and studying the Word of God to show ourselves approved, for the best is yet to come!
Sincerely,
Sister Viola Kitchen Director of Christian Education

Unit 2: God Is All-Knowing
October 5, 2025: Lesson 5: God Warns Pharaoh through Dreams: Genesis 41:25-36: Teacher: Elder Douglas Revels: Golden Text: Genesis 41:28 “This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.” This lesson begins the second quarter unit titled “God is All-Knowing.” God is omniscient, meaning He knows everything and nothing surprises Him. We will explore the story of Joseph and Pharaoh, highlighting how God warned Pharaoh through dreams and gave Joseph the ability to interpret them. This allowed Joseph to save his family and others from an impending famine. God still sends us warnings today, and the Bible teaches us that we can trust His omniscience. We see His hand at work in governing leaders both in Egypt and in our world today.
October 12, 2025; Lesson 6: God Sees Our Hearts: Acts 4:32-5:11: Teacher: Sister Deborah Thomas: Golden Text: Acts 5:46 “Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.” This week's lesson from the book of Acts focuses on Ananias and Sapphira, illustrating that God knows our true intentions. The early church showed charity towards the poor, helping others selflessly. However, Ananias and Sapphira sought recognition and lied to both the church and the Holy Spirit. Peter reminded them that they could choose to keep their property or donate a portion; God would have been pleased with either choice. Ananias craved praise for his generosity, which Jesus condemned in Matthew 6:12 when He warned against performing good deeds for the sake of appearance. Ultimately, God sees our hearts, and we must strive to live honestly before Him.
October 19, 2025: Lesson 7: God Sees Nathanael: John 1:43-51: Teacher: Evangelist Mytrice Nesbitt: Golden Text: John 1:48 “Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.” This week's lesson focuses on how Jesus did not seek out the most educated individuals to be His disciples. Instead, He chose those who would follow Him by faith, trusting and believing that He was the Messiah spoken of in the Torah (the Old Testament). Jesus' call to Philip was simple: "Follow me." It was a total and unconditional invitation. Philip did not reject this call; he followed Jesus and told Nathanael about Him. In John 1:45, it states, "Philip found Nathanael and said to him, 'We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law, and the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.'" Nathanael was skeptical and questioned, "Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?" Philip encouraged him by saying, "Come and see." Nathanael followed Philip to meet Jesus. When he approached, Jesus said, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!" This led Nathanael to ask, "How do you know me?" Jesus replied, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you." This revelation caused Nathanael to believe and to declare, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel. “The central theme of this week's lesson is how God reveals Himself to us. He does not hide who He is; we need to understand that God will reveal Himself to us in various ways. We are called to share the good news about Jesus Christ and invite others to know Him personally, fostering a relationship with Him.
October 26, 2025: Lesson 8: God Sees the Samaritan: John 4:5-19, 28-29: Teacher: Elder Paul McGhee: Golden Text: John 4:29 “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” In today’s lesson, we see Jesus offer eternal life to the Samaritan woman at a time when Jews did not have much to do with the Samaritans. For hundreds of years, the Jews and Samaritans did not associate with one another. He asked her for a drink, and in doing so, He broke the barrier to reach the Samaritan woman. She brought up the controversial subject of racism and prejudice by asking him, “How could he ask her for a drink?” This opened the door for Him to share the way to receive salvation for herself and those she would later share the news with. After speaking with Him, she tells the town that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus is still breaking barriers today to reach those who are lost and in need of salvation. Jesus offered her living water. Many fear and dread that God knows all about our sins. In this lesson, we learn the power of the gospel. When our sins are brought to light, we should confess and repent And God can and will wash away our sins Jesus has all authority, is the absolute source of truth, is the preeminent object of trust, and knows every moment of every situation.

Greater Recovery Ministry
The Greater Recovery Ministry is an outreach program dedicated to supporting individuals struggling with the psychological, spiritual, and behavioral effects of addiction. Our goal, guided by the love of God, is to help individuals achieve complete deliverance from various types of addictions. We provide encouragement and support throughout the recovery process, believing that Jesus has the power to free you from addictions such as alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, the internet, nicotine, co-dependency, shopping, and more.
The curriculum for the Greater Recovery Ministry is based on the vision of our Senior Pastor, Bishop LaVelton J. Daniel, who seeks for "All Souls" to experience freedom from the "World of Negative Addiction." The program consists of 12 Godly principles that will be discussed weekly in a support group setting, facilitated by trained leaders.
For our youth participants, the curriculum focuses on drug prevention and education. We can schedule a convenient meeting if you or someone you know needs support. Please direct all inquiries to In-House Pastor Evangelist Melvina Pounds at melvinalbs@gmail.com.
