Investors lose `3.95 lakh cr Mumbai: The Sensex plunged 1,115 points while the Nifty crashed below the 10,850-mark on Thursday as investors dumped equities amid a sharp global selloff and concerns over economic recovery. World markets were bathed in a sea of red as fears about a second wave of COVID-19 infections in major economies and lack of fresh stimulus from central

‘Need to ensure stability on ground before fresh round of talks with China’

New Delhi: With another round of talks on the border standoff with China likely soon, India on Thursday said it is necessary to ensure stability on the ground while the two sides work towards ensuring complete disengagement of troops in all friction areas in eastern Ladakh. At a virtual media briefing, MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said disengagement is a complex process which would require mutually agreed “reciprocal actions” and the way ahead will be to refrain from making any attempts to unilaterally change the status quo.
