India occupies 6 major new hills near Ladakh LAC New Delhi: In the last three weeks, the Indian Army has occupied six new major hill features on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) during the ongoing conflict with the Chinese Army in the Eastern Ladakh sector. “The Indian Army has occupied six new heights between August 29 and the second week of September. The new hill features being occupied by our troops include the Magar hill, Gurung Hill, Recehen La, Rezang La, Mokhpari and the dominating height over Chinese positions near Finger 4,” top government sources told ANI. And it is thus ‘potential crisis’ that Gehlot will have to manage with his political and administrative finesse. While the chief minister is known for his pro farmer stand and policies, the closing of mandis will hurt the pocket of the poor more since it is believed that in the next few days, the prices of vegetables could go up. Moreover, this would also mean that the state govern-
ment’s already shrunk revenue will take yet another hit and fall a bit further, at a time when each and every penny matters the most. Therefore, the Chief Minister, bureaucrats and other authorities will have to work out a solution for the ‘agitation’ and pacify the agitators so as not to hurt the state at large and the government in particular. Notably, the farmers will also place black flags on their motorcycles and tractors to express their anger.
