IN SHOW OF STRENGTH, ‘DEFIANT’ PILOT CAMP MLAs CHECK IN AT GURGAON HOTEL! GEHLOT TRYING VERY HARD FOR A NEW PCC CHIEF AND AN IMMEDIATE CABINET RESHUFFLE
Naresh Sharma/ Aditi Nagar Jaipur/New Delhi: Upset with SOG FIR involving some of his supporter legislators and keeping in mind his likely ‘shifting’ from PCC, a ‘defiant’ Sachin Pilot demonstrated his strength of at least around one dozen Congress MLAs by taking them to a seven star ITC Bharat hotel at Gurgaon. The move is aimed at creating sufficient pressure over Congress high command to listen to his group min-
isters and MLAs’ woes against the style and functioning of Ashok Gehlot government in general and the chief minister in particular. But according sources close to 10 Janpath, no appointment has yet been sought by Pilot himself or his camp MLAs to meet Sonia or Rahul on Sunday. In a surprise move, suddenly, almost 12 Pilot camp MLAs reportedly landed at the seven star hotel, though the initial number was being indicated to 17-18 MLAs.
According to sources, Pilot himself visited the hotel and met the MLAs. Thereafter, Pilot was seen sitting ‘cool’ at his 5 Canning Lane, New Delhi residence. Pilot camp’s sudden and surprise move, created a flutter in Jaipur and New Delhi and till late evening, neither the chief minister nor Ahmed Patel or Avinash Pande had any specific ‘clue’ to know
what was the ultimate purpose of this ‘Gurgaon parade’ of Pilot’s supporter MLAs. Po-
litical observers are also clueless what has ultimately inspired Pilot to take

PM praises Centre, Delhi govt in containing COVID situation
PM NARENDRA MODI REVIEWED THE CONTAINMENT EFFORTS IN VARIOUS STATES OF THE COUNTRY AND PASSED SOME KEY INSTRUCTIONS TO IMPROVE THE SITUATION
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday appreciated the efforts of the Centre, state and local authorities in containing the COVID-19 situation in Delhi and directed that similar approach be replicated in checking the pandemic in the entire NCR area. Modi also directed that real-time national level monitoring and guidance should be provided to all affected states and places with high test positivity rate. He made these remarks at a meeting to take stock of the COVID-19 situation in various parts of the country and the preparedness of various states, a statement from the Prime Minister's Office said. The prime minister reiterated the need to observe personal hygiene and social discipline in public places. Modi said the awareness about the pandemic should be disseminated widely and a continuous emphasis on preventing the spread of the infection should be laid. He said there is no room for any complacency in this regard, according to the statement. "The prime minister appreciated the concerted efforts of the Centre, state and local authorities in containing the pandemic situation in Delhi," the statement said. "He further directed that a similar approach should be adopted with other state governments in containing the COVID-19 pandemic in the entire NCR area," it said. Turn on P6
such a bold and risky step, which could ultimately tarnish the image, Status and goodwill in front of Sonia and Rahul? In this context, another question is also being asked whether this ‘Gurgaon exercise’ is engineered, headed and controlled by Pilot himself or BJP discreetly holds the remote control of this Pilot operation?
During the day, there was also a speculation that Pilot might meet BJP President JP Nadda but till late evening there was no confirmation to this news. However, sources close to Nadda only indicated that BJP is having a close watch on Rajasthan developments but nothing is final (on a speculated alliance between BJP and PIlot camp in Rajasthan). According to highly placed sources, if Pilot camp really succeeds in managing atleast 30 Congress MLAs, then, if re-
quired BJP may like to extend its ‘moral support’ to Pilot camp’s move to reduce Gehlot government to a minority, followed by a BJP government in Rajasthan, may be after a small stint of President rule. So at the moment, no major break-up is expected in Rajasthan Congress, because still Pilot does not appear to have ‘adequate’ numbers. As far as BJP high command is concerned, it is maintaining a very cautious and careful approach to Turn on P8
