Bereits zehn Jahre sind vergangen seit dem ersten richtigen Festival da Jazz.

Aus ersten Konzert-Reihen 2006 und 2007 entstand plötzlich und ganz organisch etwas Grösseres. Die Idee, die grössten Stars nach St. Moritz zu locken, fasste Fuss. Unser unglaubliches Glück war es, Rolf Sachs mit seinem Dracula Club und damit auch

Already ten years have passed since the first real Festival da Jazz. From first concert series in 2006 and 2007 something bigger started to evolve completely organically. The idea, to attract the biggest stars to St. Moritz suddenly gained a foothold. Our incredible luck was to get Rolf Sachs and his Dracula Club as well as the Kulm Hotel on board. And already from the second year on, LEXUS has been our generous Presenting Partner.

Dave Grusin wird 80 und feiert mit drei Konzerten bei uns. Pepe Lienhard zwängt eine ganze Bigband ins Dracula. Zudem: Patti Austin, Dave Holland, Jimmy Cliff, Meshell Ndegeocello, Mike Stern, John Scofield.

Bobby McFerrin erteilt Lektionen statt zu singen.

Dee Dee Bridgewater und Irvin Mayfield verzaubern uns. Und Candy Dulfer tut es Open Air gleich hinter dem Dracula.

Nun bereits über 50 Konzerte pro Festival. Neu auch Apéro Konzerte auf Hauser’s Terrasse. Grosses erleben wir durch Iiro Rantala und Ulf Wakenius, durch Marcus Miller, Diana Krall, The Rad Trads u. v. m.

For the anniversary, the festival returns to Kronenhof, where it all started, and some other splendid concert venues on a small "tour de charme".

"I think every jazz musician likes to play in a club better than a concert hall. I mean we play in the concert halls but the concert halls were not built for jazz. The people who founded concert halls created them for classical music.

Hence, they are not built for jazz sound and they are not built for jazz intimacy either. It is always a struggle to get the audience to relax and for the musicians to relax in a concert hall.

Therefore, when we play in a small room like the "Dracula Club", we really enjoy the intimacy."

Das Herz und die Seele des Festival da Jazz St. Moritz. Von Gunter Sachs gegründet und nun unter der Leitung von Künstler und Designer Rolf Sachs. Der «Dracula’s Ghost Rider Club», so der volle Namen, ist im Winter Dreh- und Angelpunkt des St.Moritzer Party-Lebens. Im Sommer öffnet der Club für unser bescheidenes Festival seine Pforten. Viel Platz bietet er nicht, dafür erleben Sie bei uns die intimsten Konzerte mit den Stars der Jazz-Szene. Sein urchig rustikales Interieur verbreitet eine charmante Aura weit weg von seelenlosen Kongresszentren und austauschbaren Konzerthallen. Die unglaubliche Nähe zwischen Künstlern und Publikum wird von beiden Parteien ungemein geschätzt.

Thanks to myths, fairy tales and truths, the Club of the Vampires, founded by Gunter Sachs in 1974, has over the years become a legend and under the presidency of his holiness, the designer and professor with a chair in England, his highness Rolf Sachs, it has definitely gained cult status. Intellect and humour come together here, even if it is just to leave the daily grind behind for a while. Here it’s improvisation with a capital I. Since 2007 the vault has been given a breath of fresh air: jazz. The Dracula Club is the heart of the Festival da Jazz. With just 150 seats it offers an ideal club atmosphere and a delightful temporary home for artists and visitors alike.

Die Sunny Bar im Kulm Hotel gilt als eine der ältesten Sports-Bars in der Schweiz.

Im Winter ist sie quasi das Club-Lokal der tapferen Cresta-Fahrer. Während des Festivals verwandelt sich die Sunny Bar in einen kleinen, feinen Jazz-Club.

Während jeweils im Dracula die letzten Töne der Stars ausklingen, begeistern Newcomer und gestandene Insider-Tipps mit feurigen Konzerten um Mitternacht. Vergleichbar mit den coolen Jazz-Clubs in New York oder Paris swingt die Stimmung hier obenaus. Ein «Oh yeah» für Nachtschwärmer und Jazz-Fans.

Jazz is in the air! Cool and cosy, that’s the way Switzerland’s oldest sports bar, the Sunny Bar at the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, presents itself. The Sunny Bar is the venue for the exclusive and free “Round Midnight Concerts”. Formerly a gathering place of the English nobility and today’s local bar of the daredevil Cresta riders, it is once again a colourful stage for best entertainment. An atmosphere as lively as in an old New York jazz club invites festival visitors, locals and musicians for a night cap, featuring great live music and exuberant concerts. Be there or be square! Enjoy music full of passion and verve that will make your heart beat faster.

Die einladende Terrasse des Hauser’s Hotel ist ein essentielles Stück im Festival Puzzle. Die Apéro-Konzerte sowie die äusserst beliebten, sonntäglichen BrunchKonzerte versprühen den Groove und das Flair des Festivals, wie nichts anderes.

TOUR DE CHARME Das Festival in Bewegung

de Das künstlerische Zentrum des Festivals ist im Dracula Club und somit in St. Moritz.

Für unser Jubiläum möchten wir unsere Fühler aber etwas ausstrecken. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kanton Graubünden tragen wir unsere Musik-Freude in die Region und bespielen ein paar aussergewöhnliche Schauplätze.

Der Startschuss für unsere «Tour de Charme» fiel bereits im März, als unsere FestivalLieblinge «the Rad Trads» im Rahmen der Pre-Concert Serie in Chur im Stadttheater aufspielten. Nach diesem Prolog geht es im Juli dann richtig los. Das Credo des Festivals gilt hier mehr denn je: Grosse Künstler im aussergewöhnlichen und intimen Umfeld. samstag, 8. 7.

11 uhr, taiswald pontresina Kein geringerer als der Klavier-Gigant Fazil Say gibt ein Konzert auf der beschaulichen Lichtung im Taiswald. Da wo für gewöhnlich die Camarata Pontresina den ganzen Sommer durch ihre Konzerte gibt, lassen wir Say auf Sie los, Vogelgezwitscher inklusive.

Anreise Taiswald Hinter dem Aussenparkplatz Gitöglia (zwischen Bahnhof und Dorf Pontresina) beginnt der Wanderweg in den Taiswald.

Dort folgt man dem Wegweiser mit «Konzertplatz» und erreicht den Platz in gut 10 Minuten.

en The festival's artistic centre is at the Dracula Club and therefore in St. Moritz. For our anniversary, however, we want to put our feelers out a little bit further.In cooperation with the Canton of Grisons we carry our joy of music out into other regions and play at some extraordinary locations.

The starting gun was fired back in March when our festival favourites, "The Rad Trads" performed at the Stadttheater in Chur. After this prologue we'll really get going in July.

The credo of the festival counts more than ever: great artists in a unique and intimate setting.

freitag, 14 uhr Das Segantini Museum liegt unweit vom See etwas höher am Berg. Giovanni Segantini schaffte es, wie kaum ein anderer, die Essenz, die Seele des Lebens in den Bergen einzufangen.

Neben der Sammlung sind auch Sonderausstellungen zu bestaunen. freitag, 17 uhr Zeit für etwas Musik und Entspannung. Auf Hauser’s Terrasse gibt’s beides. Was Leckeres aus der hauseigenen Confiserie? Oder einfach ein Erfrischungsgetränk?

Nur zu – und dazu ein entspanntes, kostenfreies Apéro-Konzert. Man geniesst die Sonnenstrahlen, man sieht, wird gesehen und man lässt die Seele baumeln.

Der Abend kann kommen und somit der Main Event: Ein Konzert im ehrwürdigen Dracula Club. Die Cremeschnitte gilt als abtrainiert und somit ist klar, dass ein Zwei-Gänger in der Brasserie Dracula

geradezu sein muss. Das Team um Reto Kuhn wird sie zügig, aber stressfrei verköstigen. Gesättigt und zufrieden geht es rüber in den Konzertraum. freitag, 21 uhr Sie lauschen dem Konzert Ihrer Wahl und erfreuen sich an der intimen Atmosphäre in diesem kleinen Club. Eine echte Bühne gibt es nicht. Dicht stehen die Musiker beisammen, auf wenigen Quadratmetern.

Gleich davor sitzen bereits die vordersten Gäste. Es kann etwas eng werden und ja, so richtig bequem sitzen und stehen nicht alle. Aber das wird Sie nicht kümmern, zu nahe und unmittelbar ist die Magie.

Pro-Tipp: Aussagen wie «Die Musiker sind zum Greifen nah» sollten nicht wörtlich genommen werden.

Giovanni Segantini managed like nobody else to catch the essence, the soul of living in the mountains in his works of art. Besides the main collection there are also special exhibitions. friday, 5 pm Time for a little bit of music and relaxation. On Hauser's Terrace you can find both.

Something sweet from the inhouse bakery? Or just a refreshing drink? Go ahead – and on top a relaxing, free apéro concert. You can enjoy the sun, see and be seen and leave all your cares behind.

friday, 6.30 pm Put your feet up for a moment for a quick rest, and off we go again. The evening can begin and so we move on to the main event: a concert at the famous Dracula Club.

The slice of cream cake has now been walked of, and so it is clear that a two-course dinner at the Brasserie Dracula is a must. The team around Chef Reto Kuhn will feed you speedily but with a lot of attention. Saturated and satisfied you can move on to the concert room. friday, 9 pm You listen to the concert of your choice and enjoy the intimate atmosphere in this small club. There is no real stage. The musicians stand side by side on a few square meters. The audience is just in front of them. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze, and yes, not everyone is sitting or standing all that comfortable. However, the magic is so close and immediate, that you won't mind. friday, 11 pm It is quite likely that all that "exercise" has left some marks on you and that you now look forward to withdrawing to your room for the night. If you feel like prolonging your evening just a little bit, we recommend a visit to the Sunny Bar. Just before midnight the festival turns up the heat once more. The somehow wilder parties happen here, grooving and dancing. If the time is right, a real New York style jazz club experience awaits you.

saturday, 10 am After a wholesome breakfast you're off again to Lej da Staz. The local recreational area lies between St. Moritz and Pontresina and can be easily reached on foot. In the morning, the fauna around Lake Staz is frequently enriched by festival director Christian Jott Jenny. Follow suit and jump into the refreshingly fresh water. You'll feel better immediately, even if you felt good already. saturday, 12 pm A trip on the Upper-Engadine's backyard mountain Muottas Muragl is almost compulsory. And who's been there before, will go again.

The funicular will take you up onto this imposing mountain in no time. The view is indescribable. Consequently, we won't try to describe it.

But one thing is for sure: You won't find a better and more impressive view of the UpperEngadine. saturday, 2 pm There's no more cultivated way to travel back to the lowlands than on board of the RhB's dining car. Enjoy Grison's nature once more on the ride on the Albula line.

Ein begeisterter Fan prägte diesen prägnanten Spruch: «If god is a DJ, Harry Klein is the church.» Die Jazzrausch Bigband hat sich mit ihren regelmässigen LiveTechno-Shows, zu denen auch spektakuläre Visuals gehören, im Harry Klein einen Kultstatus erarbeitet, der ihr weit über die Grenzen des Freistaats Bayern hinaus eine eingeschworene Fangemeinde beschert hat. Tatsächlich bekommen die fetten Dancefloor-Sounds und -Grooves im Bigband-Kontext eine bisher ungeahnte Durchschlagskraft.

Im Alter von fünf Jahren tanzte Othella Dallas auf dem Küchentisch – inzwischen sind ein paar Jahre hinzugekommen. Ihre Karriere als Sängerin und Tänzerin hat sie mit historischen Figuren wie Duke Ellington, Josephine Baker und Edith Piaf zusammengebracht hat.

Mit dem Tenorsaxofonisten Timo Lassy hat Finnland einen Jazzmusiker hervorgebracht, der auf sehr coole Weise an den heissen Jazz der 1950er- und 1960er-Jahre anknüpft. Im Laufe eines Jahrzehnts hat Lassy seine Band zu einer wirklich groovenden Einheit geformt, bei deren Auftritten das Publikum regelmässig aus dem Häuschen gerät.

If it comes to the difference between very hot and very cold, the Finnish know everything about it. After all, they spend a good part of their long dark winters in the sauna. With tenor saxophone player, Timo Lassy, Finland has produced a jazz musician who builds on the hot soul jazz from the 1950s and 1960s. Over the last decade, Lassy has developed his band into a truly powerful grooving entity (at the drums the extraordinary Teppo “Teddy Rok” Mäkynen), sending audiences into spin on a regular basis.

Früher gab es die Funk Brothers: Diese Band begleitete fast alle Soul- und Funk-Grössen des legendären Labels Motown. Jetzt kommen die Funk Apostles! Angeführt wird diese tollkühne Band vom Hammond-Organisten Cory Henry, der bereits im zarten Alter von sechs Jahren im Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, aufgetreten ist und der sich seit seinem 19. Lebensjahr auf der Überholspur befindet: Neben eigenen Projekten ist er mit dem Kollektiv-Ensemble Snarky Puppy verbandelt und er teilte sich die Bühne bereits mit Bruce Springsteen, P. Diddy oder Boyz II Men.

Letztes Jahr legte Peyroux mit «Secular Hymns» das wohl bisher aussergewöhnlichste Album ihrer beeindruckenden Karriere vor: Es wurde von einem Trio bei einem Konzert in einer Kirche im englischen Oxfordshire aufgenommen das Repertoire reicht vom Spiritual «Trampin» über einen Song von Allen Toussaint bis zu Stücken von Tom Waits und Linton Kwesi Johnson.

Als Jazzpianist und -arrangeur arbeitete Legrand nicht nur mit Django Reinhardt zusammen, sondern auch mit etlichen Koryphäen des US-Jazz, unter ihnen Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis und John Coltrane. Viele Auszeichnungen durfte Legrand als Erfinder unvergesslicher Soundtracks (z.B. für den Streisand-Streifen «Yentl») einheimsen für den Film «The Thomas Crown Affair» mit Steve McQueen und Faye Dunaway schrieb er den fabulösen Titelsong «Windmills of Your Mind».

He is not only a grand seigneur of the French cultural nation, but also a living legend. As a jazz pianist and arranger, Legrand worked together with Django Rheinhardt. Furthermore, he has performed with a number of US jazz luminaries like Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis or John Coltrane. Legrand has won many awards as the composer of unforgettable soundtracks (for instance for the film "Yentl" with Barbara Streisand). For the film "The Thomas Crown Affair" with Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway he wrote the fabulous title song "Windmill of Your Mind".

Lee Ritenour ist ein Guitar-Hero, der seit über einem halben Jahrhundert zu den prägenden Figuren der CrossoverMusik zählt. Im zarten Alter von 16 Jahren trat er mit den Mamas & Papas auf – spätere Kooperationen brachten ihn u.a. mit Steely Dan, Pink Floyd und Simon & Garfunkel zusammen. Aber auch im Bereich des Smooth Jazz hat Ritenour viele Spuren hinterlassen – besonders erfolgreich war seine Zusammenarbeit mit Dave Grusin. Lee Ritenour is a guitar hero who has been one of the prominent figures of crossover music for half a century. At the young age of 16 he performed with the Mamas & Papas. Later he played with the likes of Steely Dan, Pink Floyd or Simon & Garfunkel. However, Lee Ritenour also left marks in the genre of smooth jazz, and had an especially successful cooperation with Dave Grusin.

Dave Grusin hat mit GRP Records nicht nur ein ungemein erfolgreiches Fusion-Label mitbegründet, sondern er hat auch zahlreiche Soundtracks komponiert (z. Vor 100 Jahren entstanden die ersten Jazzaufnahmen. Seither hat der Jazz eine rasante Entwicklung durchlaufen und eine enorme Vielfalt an Stilen und Spielarten hervorgebracht, die mit Begriffen wie Chicago Jazz, Bebop, Hard Bop oder Cool Jazz nur sehr ungenau beschrieben werden kann. Mit einer hochkarätig besetzten Band unternimmt Vincent Herring einen atemberaubenden Schnelldurchlauf durch die ereignisreiche Geschichte des Jazz. Dabei wird auf historische Genauigkeit ebenso wert gelegt wie auf spontane Ausdruckskraft. Bei der Premiere in New York war das Publikum total begeistert.

The first jazz recordings emerged 100 years ago. Since then jazz has gone through a tremendous development and brought about a richness of styles and varieties. Terms like Chicago jazz, bebop, hard bop or cool jazz only offer very unprecise descriptions of the existing diversity in jazz. With his top-class band, Vincent Herring presents a breathtakingly swift passage through the eventful history of jazz, placing as much importance on historical accuracy as on spontaneous verve. Tosca besteht aus Richard Dorfmeister und Rupert Huber, ihre Musik wiederum besteht aus Ambient-Sounds und Laid-Back-Grooves, zu denen sich verführerische Song-Fragmente gesellen.

Hearing the name "Homer", one would probably think of an ancient Greek or Homer Simpson. "Tosca" would probably evoke the opera by the Italian composer Giacomo Puccini or an electro duo from Felix Austria. Tosca consists of Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber. Their music is a mix of ambient sounds and laid-back grooves, complemented by seductive song fragments.

James Gruntz, der Ausnahmesänger, Multiinstrumentalist und Songwriter landete 2014 mit dem Album «Belvedere» und der groovig tänzelnden Single «Heart Keeps Dancing» einen grossen Wurf, der gleich mit zwei Swiss Music Awards gekrönt wurde.

Zurzeit bereitet sich James Gruntz auf sein kommendes Album vor, welches im September 2017 erscheinen wird.

Zurückgezogen widmet er sich den Proben und unterbricht seine kreative Schaffensphase exklusiv für ein paar wenige vorgezogene Konzerte in diesem Sommer.

His first concert was a total disaster.

Afterwards James Gruntz bought a scooter and drove all along the Italian coast with a friend. In doing so, he rediscovered his love for singing. Since then, several years have gone by, and today, ever since his superb 2014 album "Belvedere", Gruntz definitely belongs to the few truly exciting musicians our small country has ever produced. Recently Gruntz has made a guest contribution to the album "Pluto" by Lo & Leduc. In St. Moritz, he will be giving one of his few concerts this year.

Die erste Begegnung mit dem HarfenVirtuosen Edmar Castañeda war für Hiromi ein veritabler Wow-Moment.

Das war 2016 am Jazzfestival im kanadischen Montreal – und nun treten die beiden bereits im Duo auf. Castañeda kommt aus Kolumbien, Hiromi aus Japan: Was sie vereint, ist ihre Liebe zu halsbrecherischen Kapriolen – ihre Duo-Musik wogt auf überraschende und spektakuläre Weise auf und ab und steckt voller Aha- und Oho- und natürlich auch Wow-Momente. Kommt hinzu, dass beide über eine extrem breite stilistische Palette und ein ausgeprägtes Faible für rhythmische Vertracktheit verfügen.

For Hiromi meeting harp virtuoso Edmar Castañeda for the first time was a real wow moment. That was in 2016 at the jazz festival in the Canadian city of Montreal. And now they go on stage as a duo.

Castañeda comes from Columbia and Hiromi from Japan. What unites them is their love for breakneck jazz. The duo’s music surges up and down in a surprising and spectacular way and it is full of aha and oho moments and of course also wow moments. Adding to that, both have a broad stylistic repertoire and a distinct passion for intricacy.

ELLA FITZGERALD 100 YEAR CELEBRATION GALA Pepe Lienhard Big Band feat. Patti Austin

Bekannt wurde Ella Fitzgerald mit dem Stück «A-Tisket, A-Tasket», das sie 1938 mit der Bigband des Schlagzeugers Chick Webb aufnahm. In späteren Jahren trat die famose Song-Interpretin und halsbrecherische Scat-Virtuosin Fitzgerald als Gaststar mit den Bigbands von Count Basie und Duke Ellington auf.

Keine Frage: Fitzgerald hatte einen sehr guten Draht zu swingenden Bigbands. So ist es nur folgerichtig, dass sich Pepe Lienhards Bigband mit Patti Austin zusammentut, um den 100.

Geburtstag Fitzgeralds gebührend zu feiern. Patti Austin zählt zu den Schützlingen von Quincy Jones, 2003 nahm sie das für einen Grammy nominierte Album «For Ella» auf.

Ella Fitzgerald shot to fame with her song "A-Tisket, A-Tasket", which she recorded with drummer Chick Webb's big band in 1938. In later years the famous song interpreter and break-neck scat virtuoso performed as a guest star with the big bands of Count Basie and Duke Ellington. No question, Fitzgerald had a special relationship with swinging big bands. It is therefore completely logical that Pepe Lienhard's big band is teaming up with Patti Austin to celebrate Ella Fitzgerald's 100th birthday in an appropriate manner. Patti Austin was among the protégés of Quincy Jones.

In 2003 she recorded the album "For Ella" that was nominated for a Grammy.

Mit dem 1925 erschienen Roman «Manhattan Transfer» schuf John Dos Passos eine mehrstimmige Hymne an die wohl faszinierendste Metropolis auf Erden. Knapp ein halbes Jahrhundert später wurde in New York die Gesangsgruppe Manhattan Transfer gegründet, die die mehrstimmige VokalKunst im Grenzbereich zwischen Jazz und Pop gleichermassen revolutionierte und popularisierte. 2014 starb mit Tim Hauser eine der Gründerfiguren – anstatt die Band aufzulösen, fand man in Trist Curless, der auch schon mit Bobby McFerrin aufgetreten ist, einen valablen Ersatz.

With his 1925 novel "Manhattan Transfer" John Dos Passos created a multivoiced hymn to the probably most fascinating metropolis on earth. Half a century later the vocal band Manhattan Transfer was founded. They revolutionized and at the same time popularized the polyphonic vocal art between jazz and pop. Tim Hauser, one of the founding members died in 2014, but instead of dissolving the band, Manhatten Transfer carried on, and with Trist Curless, who had performed with Bobby McFerrin in the past, they have found a matching replacement.

So erging es Jacob Collier (natürlich gab es zwischen den YoutubeVideos und dem Anruf Jones' noch ein paar Umwege, doch diese sind im Nachhinein kaum der Rede wert).

Inzwischen hat der 23-jährige Brite Collier zwei Grammys eingeheimst und ein eigenes Instrument entwickelt, das es ihm erlaubt, mehrstimmige Gesangsparts in Echtzeit zu erschaffen.

Und an den BBC Proms in der Royal Albert Hall in London ist er natürlich auch schon aufgetreten …

Eine nicht minder telepathische Beziehung besteht zwischen Corea und Béla Fleck, der das Banjo beinahe im Alleingang vom Ruf befreit hat, ein primitives Hillbilly-Instrument zu sein. Joey Alexander kam 2003 auf die Welt, wurde acht Jahre später von Herbie Hancock entdeckt und lebt seit drei Jahren in New York, wo er mühelos mit den Top-Cracks mithält.

Die 20-jährige Elektrobassistin hat bisher zwei Alben veröffentlicht. Mit ihrer kunstvollen Coverversion der Clapton-Ballade «Tears for Heaven» hat Glyk die sozialen Medien im Sturm erobert. Gefördert wurde Kinga Glyk von ihrem Vater: Er holte sie im zarten Alter von zwölf Jahren in sein Trio. Und was würde Kinga Glyk am liebsten machen, wenn sie eine Zeitmaschine hätte? Auf die Frage, wie es sich anfühle älter zu werden, antwortete Nigel Kennedy in einem Interview mit der deutschen Zeitung Die Welt: «Oh, keine Ahnung ist mir bislang noch nicht passiert.»

Kennedy ist und bleibt das «enfant terrible» unter den Nachfolgern des Geigenvirtuosen Paganini. Kennedy, der inzwischen auch selber komponiert, ist bekannt für seine wilden Konzerte, in denen lustvoll und am Laufmeter gegen Stilregeln verstossen wird - für Bach hat es da ebenso Platz wie für Hendrix oder für exorbitante Jazz-Pirouetten.

Für Kennedy gilt: «Wenn du nicht mehr spielst, bis du tot!»

Für dieses Debüt, das auf dem Label Blue Note erschien, hatte er nicht nur eine exellente Band (mit Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon, Buch Warren und Bill Higgins) zusammengestellt, sondern auch eine Reihe toller Stücke komponiert – «Watermelon Man» wurde sein erster veritabler Hit. Das war der Anfang einer stratosphärischen Karriere eines der grössten Musik-Innovatoren aller Zeiten.

Was hat Helge Schneider an einem Jazzfestival verloren? Wer diese Frage stellt, dürfte mit dem Schaffen des Jahrhundertkomikers aus dem Ruhrpott nicht wirklich gut vertraut sein. Helge Schneider trat früher als Jazzmusiker auf und sammelte dabei Erlebnisse, die er später im köstlichen Film «Jazzclub» verarbeitete. Seine Auftritte sind zu einem grossen Teil improvisiert: Da wird nicht einfach ein Pointenprogramm runtergespult. Mit anderen Worten: Helge Schneider ist kein Freund des platten Schenkelklopf-Humors, vielmehr pflegt er eine Affinität für Anarchie und Absurdität.

IN MALEREI, ZEICHNUNG UND FOTOGRAFIE – EINST UND HEUTE

Sonderausstellung vom 13. Juni bis 22. Oktober 2017 Die in dieser Ausstellung präsentierten Kunstwerke, in der Zeit zwischen 1880 und 2017 entstanden, laden in ihrer perspektivischen Vielfalt Auge und Geist des Betrachters dazu ein, das Oberengadin als grossartigen Naturraum, als unerschöpfliches Quellgebiet künstlerischer Inspirationen und nicht zuletzt als menschlichen Lebens- und Erfahrungsraum im Medium von Malerei, Zeichnung und Fotografie wahrzunehmen. Unter den Exponaten befinden sich sehr selten ausgestellte Oberengadiner Landschaften von Giovanni Segantini, Giovanni Giacometti, Cuno Amiet, Otto Dix und Max Ernst aus öffentlichen und privaten Sammlungen.
