YOUTH COOPERATION PLAN

under the "Youth City Synergy" Project (2024-2026)

PlanWspółpracyMłodzieży wramachprojektu“YouthCity Synergy”(2024-2026)

INTRODUCTION

As part of the international “Youth City Synergy” project, which took place in early March 2023, young people from Bytom (Poland), Drohobych (Ukraine), Ormož (Slovenia) and Třinec (Czech Republic) established lasting cooperation to strengthen the role of youth in local democracies.

Key achievements of the Youth City Synergy project include the signing of a cooperation agreement that establishes a framework of personal representation and voluntary participation for the joint activities of youth city councils from the four countries, the creation of a set of “good practices” in the management of Youth City Councils that can be implemented to activate young people and promote their participation in public life, and the planning of future projects to further strengthen local democracies and integrate youth in social activities.

As part of the cooperation agreement, they created a two-year plan, which you can read in this publication. The plan aims to foster the active involvement of young people in international activities, allowing them to gain valuable experience and influence social life in their local communities.

The international exchange was carried out with the financial support of the European Commission, under the Erasmus+ Program.

COMMUNICATION AND MAINTAINING RELATIONSHIPS

Communication Group: Creation of a closed communication group dedicated to project participants on a platform supported by the FEIS Foundation. The group will be managed by representatives of the Foundation and partner organizations from individual cities. It will be the main place for exchanging information, ideas and organizing meetings.

Official Communication Channels: Establish official communication channels, such as a newsletter and social media profile managed by the FEIS Foundation and partner organizations. These channels will be used to inform a wider audience about the project's progress, invite new cities to cooperate and promote the results of youth activities.

MEETINGS OF REPRESENTATIVES DURING ERASMUS+

INTERNATIONAL

PROJECTS

Annual Youth Projects: Each year we will organize a project under the Erasmus+ program in which young people from partner cities will participate in an initiative on a topic chosen by the youth. Topics may include Sports, Ecology, Education, Online Activities and Volunteering.

Development of Initiatives: During these projects, young people will have the opportunity to develop new initiatives that can be implemented at the local level and then developed with international partners.

CREATING SUBSTANTIVE TEAMS

Thematic Teams: Establishing thematic teams that will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives in areas such as sport, ecology, education, online activities, volunteering. Each team will consist of young people from each partner city, supported by local mentors and experts.

Online meetings focused on specific topics selected by young people. These will be moderated by representatives of partner organizations to ensure that the meetings are structured and effective.

Regular workshops and training, organized by the FEIS Foundation and partner organizations, which will help young people develop the skills needed to successfully run projects.

DEVELOPMENT OF VOLUNTEERING, INCLUDING INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERING

Local Volunteer Program: Supporting the development of local volunteer programs in each city that will respond to local needs, such as social assistance, organization of sports events, or ecological initiatives.

International Volunteering: Creation of a volunteer exchange program between partner cities, which will enable young people to gain international experience and learn about different cultures and work methods.

Volunteer Bank: Creation of a central database of volunteers, which will enable easy cooperation between cities and faster response to the needs of individual initiatives.

NETWORKING

Expanding the Network of Partner Cities: The FEIS Foundation, together with partner organizations and cities, will actively look for new cities that could join the project in order to enrich cooperation with new perspectives and experiences.

Promoting Good Practices: Developing and spreading a set of "good practices" that will be shared with new partners and used as part of broader international activities.

EWALUACJA

Annual Plan Review: Each year, a review of the plan's implementation will be conducted to assess progress, challenges encountered, and opportunities to develop and adapt the plan to changing needs and realities. The review will cover all points of the plan, including communication, project activities, volunteer development and the addition of new partners.

Adaptation and Development: Based on the results of the annual evaluation, the plan will be modified to better adapt to the needs of youth and the capabilities of partner organizations. New ideas and initiatives will be taken into account in the coming years.

Plan Closure and Final Report: In 2026, the plan will be finally closed and all activities completed and goals achieved will be summarized in a detailed final report. This report will also include recommendations for future activities and international cooperation among young people. .

The cooperation plan was created thanks to the “Youth City Synergy” project under the Erasmus+ program and co-financed by the European Union.
