Welcome to the seventh edition of our famous Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico presented by GNP Seguros.

We are thrilled to have already consolidated this event and to be able to make improvements year after year. This way we can always offer the best equestrian event worldwide.

It is an honor to mention that we have been recognized on several occasions as the best venue on the circuit, and all of this is thanks to you and the warmth we have as Mexicans to welcome those who visit us from other countries with a smile.

Undoubtedly, we are the best hosts, therefore, we are the best way to promote tourism in our country. El mejor circuito hípico del mundo vuelve a México. Llega el Longines Global Champions Tour, que en 2024 visitará 16 exclusivas ciudades y repartirá más de 50 millones de USD en premios. Esta temporada se incorporan Shanghái y Abu Dabi.

Ciudad de México será la tercera etapa del Longines Global Champions Tour y de la Global Champions League. La pista verde del Campo Marte volverá a ser el epicentro de la hípica mundial para orgullo de México y de todos los mexicanos.

The best equestrian circuit in the world is back in Mexico. The Longines Global Champions Tour will visit 16 exclusive cities in 2024 and will distribute more than 50 million USD in prize money. This season Shanghai and Abu Dhabi will be joining the tour.

Mexico City will be the third stop of the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League. The green arena of Campo Marte will once again be the epicentre of world equestrianism for the pride of Mexico and all Mexicans.

El Longines Global Champions Tour 2024 marca el inicio del campeonato individual por excelencia, visitando 15 destinos en todo el mundo, con una parada adicional de bonificación, que marca la 16ª cita del año: los GC Playoffs, este año en Riad (Arabia Saudí) por primera vez.

Caballos y jinetes se enfrentan a retos en recorridos técnicos, diversos escenarios y una intensa competición. Los mejores caballos y jinetes compiten en Asia, Europa, América y Oriente Medio,empezando en Doha y viajando a lugares destacados como Miami Beach, Ciudad de México, Mónaco, París, Shanghai, y muchos más.

El codiciado título de Campeón del Mundo del Longines Global Champions Tour, ganado por Harrie Smolders en 2023, está en juego. Una carrera secundaria por la gloria consiste en ganar un Golden Ticket, clasificatorio para el Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix en los GC Playoffs de noviembre.

The 2024 Longines Global Champions Tour marks the commencement of the ultimate individual championship visiting 15 destinations worldwide, with an additional bonus event marking the 16th event of the year - the GC Playoffs, this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Horses and riders face challenges in technical courses, diverse arenas, and intense competition. Top equine and human talent compete across Asia, Europe, The Americas, and the Middle East, starting in Doha and travelling to prominent locations like Miami Beach, Mexico City, Monaco, Paris, Shanghai, and more.

The coveted Longines Global Champions Tour World Champion title, won by Harrie Smolders in 2023, is at stake. A secondary race for glory involves winning a Golden Ticket, qualifying for the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Playoffs in November.

Sólo hay 15 disponibles, que se conceden por victorias en cada uno de los Grandes Premios LGCT.

El Gran Premio LGCT, uno de los platos fuertes de cada sede, incluye saltos de 1,60 metros. Los jinetes pueden elegir caballos en función de su aptitud para cada prueba, y 40 binomios se clasifican para cada Gran Premio LGCT a través de una prueba 5*. Se conceden puntos en el Gran Premio LGCT de cada etapa a lo largo del año, lo que contribuye a la clasificación general del campeonato, con jinetes compitiendo por una parte de un amplio abanico de premios. Las 8 mejores puntuaciones de cada jinete a lo largo de la temporada cuentan para su suma de puntos.

Cada ganador de los Grandes Premios LGCT, se asegura un Golden Ticket para el Súper Gran Premio LGCT, lo que añade emoción a las 16 etapas del tour y a la búsqueda del título de Campeón de Campeones en 2024 que se otorga en la 16ª etapa.

Only 15 tickets are available, awarded through victories in LGCT Grand Prix classes at each stage.

The LGCT Grand Prix, a highlight of each event, features jumps set at 1.60m. Riders can choose horses based on suitability for each event, and 40 horse-rider combinations qualify for each LGCT Grand Prix through a 5* class. Points are awarded in the LGCT Grand Prix at each stage throughout the year, contributing to the overall championship ranking, with riders competing for a share in an extensive prize fool. Each rider's best 8 scores throughout the season count to their points tally.

Each LGCT Grand Prix winner secures a Golden Ticket for the LGCT Super Grand Prix, adding excitement to the 16leg tour and the quest for the Champion of Champions title in 2024 awarded at the 16th stage.

SHOW JUMPING’S GREATEST TEAM CHALLENGE EL MAYOR DESAFÍO POR EQUIPOS DEL SALTO DE OBSTÁCULOS

Esta temporada de la GCL promete una gran emoción, gracias a la lista de equipos meticulosamente seleccionados que competirán en un campeonato con 15 paradas, y una parada adicional extra en los Playoffs GC en Riad, Arabia Saudí, por primera vez.

Los propietarios y directores de los equipos se centrarán en el perfeccionamiento estratégico para una temporada muy cargada, con un formato que combina las rondas 1 y 2 en el mismo día sin parón en la puntuación.

Lanzada en 2016, la GCL presenta equipos globales con al menos un Sub25 por equipo, fomentando el talento joven. Cada parada del tour incluye dos rondas, y las puntuaciones combinadas de la Ronda 1 pasan a la Ronda 2.

El sistema sin parón simplifica la competición por equipos para nuevos públicos. La primera ronda es una clase CSI 5* 1,55 m, y un breve descanso permite realizar cambios estratégicos antes de la segunda ronda del CSI 5* 1,60 m. Los equipos ganan puntos en cada etapa a lo largo del año, hasta llegar a la final del campeonato.

Los cuatro mejores equipos después de la final acceden por la vía rápida a las eliminatorias de la GC en Riad (Arabia Saudí) para las semifinales de la Supercopa de la GCL, lo que les permite saltarse los cuartos de final eliminatorios y mantener fresca la potencia y energía.

This GCL season promises excitement with the roster of meticulously selected teams competing in a 15-event championship, with a bonus additional event at the GC Playoffs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Team Owners and Managers focus on strategic refinement for a highly charged season, with a format combining Round 1 and Round 2 on the same day with no drop score.

Launched in 2016, the GCL features global teams with at least one U25 per team, fostering young talent. Each tour stop includes two rounds, and combined scores from Round 1 carry into Round 2.

The no-drop-score format simplifies team competition for new audiences. Round 1 is a CSI 5* 1.55m class, and a short break allows strategic changes before the CSI 5* 1.60m Round 2. Teams earn points at every stage throughout the year, leading to the championship Final.

The top four teams post-Final earn a fast track to the GC Playoffs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the GCL Super Cup Semi-Finals allowing them to skip the knockout Quarter-Finals and keep the horsepower fresh.

En el área de shopping, más de 50 marcas estarán representadas en 80 stands ecuestres e hípicos, pero también todos los públicos. Además, el Bazar Hotbook se encarga un año más de traer a los stands con las últimas tendencias en moda y los productos más especiales y originales de la actualidad.

La Ciudad de México de gran altitud y alto octanaje deslumbra a los visitantes cada vez que la LGCT y la GCL se ponen en marcha en el recinto ferial Campo Marte.

REGIÓN DE VINOS

En Querétaro se encuentra la segunda región enoturística más importante del país, donde se produce la mayor exportación de vinos espumosos de México bajo el concepto de viticultura extrema, por las características inusuales de la tierra para la siembra de las vides. Más de las 30 casas vitivinícolas que existen en el estado son lujosos desarrollos que ofrecen recorridos por sus viñedos y plantas de elaboración de vino, así como degustaciones y maridajes con quesos gourmet de la región y platillos de alta cocina mexicana e internacional.

Y no solo vino. En la misma región han surgido excelentes proyectos que elaboran quesos artesanales y gourmet, o incluso cervezas artesanales para refrescar la tarde. Rancho Santa Marina, Finca VAI, Cava Bocanegra y Flor de Alfalfa son las queserías más importantes de la zona que no te puedes perder. La importancia de esta ciudad virreinal durante más de tres siglos es posible observarse en la magnífica arquitectura de numerosas casonas coloniales y templos religiosos, como el Templo de Santa Rosa de Viterbo o el antiguo convento de San Agustín, para algunos el más bello de América Latina. It is located in the southwest of the country, bordered to the north by the states of Veracruz and Puebla, to the south by the Pacific Ocean, to the east by Chiapas, and to the west by Guerrero. Located in the narrowest strip of the country that connects the Pacific Ocean with the Atlantic in just 300 km, the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (CIIT) is being built in Oaxaca, connecting the port of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz with the port of

Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz con el de Salina Cruz a través del Ferrocarril del Istmo de Tehuantepec. Asimismo, se construye la vía Mitla-Tehuantepec, que reducirá los tiempos de recorrido de cuatro a dos horas y conectará con el (CIIT).

El CIIT movilizará más de 44 mil toneladas anuales en ambos puertos; integrará una cadena de valor en Norteamérica y Latinoamérica; reducirá tiempos de traslado de mercancías con Asia y Europa (15 días en promedio); disminuirá a 5 días el tiempo de tránsito vs canal de Panamá; reducirá en 26 días los tiempos de tránsito vs Cabo de Hornos para petróleo crudo, y será importante vía al mercado de más rápido crecimiento, con una demanda potencial de 1.3 millones de TEU´s.

Asimismo, este proyecto cuenta con una lista de beneficios fiscales federales y estatales que ayudarán a la atracción de empresas de talla mundial.

La infraestructura carretera es de más de 31 mil kilómetros. Recientemente se inauguró la carretera Barranca LargaVentanilla que conecta a la capital con la Costa en 2.5 horas, lo que incrementará la derrama económica en turismo, comercio y la generación de nuevos empleos, colocando a Oaxaca, además, como punta de lanza en el proceso de desarrollo del sureste mexicano.

En el estado existen tres aeropuertos internacionales: Santa María Huatulco, Puerto Escondido y Aeropuerto Nacional de Ciudad Ixtepec con vuelos hacia el Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles (AIFA).

Además, cuenta con dos puertos relevantes: Santa María Huatulco (durante 2023, recibió 31 cruceros, con una derrama económica de 62.4 mdp) y Salina Cruz (con una capacidad de carga de 8.4 millones de toneladas), así como dos líneas ferroviarias (K y Z).

Durante 2023 Oaxaca tuvo tres principales inversionistas extranjeros: España con 19.5 millones de dólares; Canadá con 16.4 millones de dólares; EU con 6.7 millones de dólares. Sus principales socios comerciales son estos países, además de China y Países Bajos.

Para los siguientes años, se proyectan parques científicos (PODEBI´s) con una empresa tractora y cadenas de suministro y un centro para promover transferencia de tecnología, desarrollo e innovación, así como la formación de capital humano.

El Istmo será sede de un centro logístico con un acceso inicial a 50 países, derivado de 14 acuerdos comerciales internacionales con Norteamérica, Asia, Europa y Latinoamérica Oaxaca destaca en 24 productos agrícolas, ganaderos y pesqueros. La papaya, la piña y el limón, se posicionan en el primer, segundo y tercer lugar nacional de producción, respectivamente. Esto genera oportunidades de inversión en industrialización y transformación de los alimentos, deshidratación de frutas y verduras, elaboración de harina de maíz, producción de condimentos y mermeladas, así como elaboración de productos del café, por mencionar algunos.

Otro nicho es la producción de mezcal, bebida alcohólica ancestral. En Oaxaca se produce más del 85% del total

nacional, contando con la denominación de origen. Además es la sexta entidad a nivel nacional en la elaboración de cerveza, y es una de las mayores productoras de cerveza artesanal, sin dejar de lado la producción de ron (añejo y blanco), whiskey a base de maíz y ginebra.

Un rubro relevante en la economía tradicional son los textiles, caracterizados por ser una de las expresiones culturales más importantes de las 16 etnias que habitan el territorio,reconocidos a nivel mundial por su belleza única. Estos productos son altamente valorados en los mercados nacionales e internacionales, aunado a que la moda sustentable, o ethnical fashion, ha adquirido mucho potencial, lo que propicia oportunidades en elaboración de féculas, otros almidones y sus derivados para la preparación de los tejidos, fabricación de pigmentos y colorantes sintéticos y diversificación de los productos textiles.

La diversidad de climas, riqueza natural y cultural, así como la calidez de su población, posicionan a Oaxaca como un destino turístico por excelencia. Como ejemplo, la capital fue seleccionada en 2022 y 2023 como ciudad favorita por parte de la revista especializada en turismo Travel + Leisure . El estado se coloca en lugar 14vo en atracción turística. De 2019 a 2024, recibió en promedio 3.7 millones de visitantes (del cual 94% son nacionales y 6% internaciones).

Oaxaca ha ganado el World Travel Award en 2020 y 2021 como Mejor Destino de Escapada Urbana Líder en México y América Central. La playa Chahué, en el municipio costeño de Santa María Huatulco, fue la primera del país en obtener el Distintivo Azul por Blue Flag, lo que abre oportunidades en infraestructura hotelera, restaurantes, servicios de entretenimiento y otros vinculados al sector turismo.

La Guelaguetza es una fiesta típica celebraba en julio en la capital del estado, en la que se muestra la riqueza cultural de las comunidades de Oaxaca. En 2023, esta fiesta produjo una derrama económica de 435.75 mdp., mientras que el Día de Muertos generó 527 mdp.

Oaxaca ocupa el primer lugar como productor de energía eólica en México. Actualmente están instalados 29 parques eólicos en la región del Istmo de Tehuantepec, con una producción anual aproximada de

2,758 megawatts y un potencial estimado de más de 44 mil megawatts en un área mayor a 8,800 km2.

A esto se suma la producción de energía fotovoltaica, en donde las regiones de la Mixteca, Sierra Sur y Costa presentan un alto nivel de radiación, de acuerdo con el Inventario Nacional de Energías Limpias (INEL).

Aproximadamente 12,720km2 conforman la franja de más alta de radiación solar de Oaxaca. La región Mixteca cuenta con una irradiación de 6.21 kwh/m2/día, con potencial para la producción de energía.

La ubicación estratégica de Oaxaca abre oportunidades de inversión en el sector automotriz, específicamente en el sector de autopartes (aire acondicionado, accesorios de iluminación, instrumentos de medición, entre otros) en el nivel TIER2 y TIER3, pero también en la industria aeroespacial como polo de desarrollo de alta tecnología

El Gobierno del Estado de Oaxaca genera las condiciones para fortalecer la inversión, estableciendo incentivos fiscales en impuesto sobre nómina, sobre tenencia o uso de vehículos de hasta quince pasajeros y sobre el desarrollo social.

Asimismo, existen otros incentivos como la asesoría y acompañamiento desde el primer contacto con los inversionistas hasta la plena operación de los proyectos, brindando certeza jurídica y administrativa con procesos ágiles y eficientes, impulsando mano de obra calificada con bolsa de trabajo y tejiendo redes de proveedores locales. Finalmente, el establecimiento de la ventanilla de atención para el sector empresarial en temas de delitos patrimoniales genera seguridad en las inversiones.

Salina Cruz through the Tehuantepec Isthmus Railroad. In addition, the Mitla-Tehuantepec route is being constructed, which will reduce travel times from four to two hours and connect with the CIIT.

The CIIT will mobilize more than 44 thousand tons annually in both ports; it will integrate a value chain in North America and Latin America; it will reduce the transit times of goods with Asia and Europe (15 days on average); it will reduce transit time to 5 days vs. the Panama Canal; it will reduce transit times by 26 days vs. Cape Horn for crude oil, and it will be an important route to the fastest-growing market, with a potential demand of 1.3 million TEUs. Likewise, this project has a list of federal and state fiscal benefits that will help attract world-class companies.

The road infrastructure is more than 31 thousand kilometers. The Barranca Larga-Ventanilla highway was recently inaugurated, connecting the capital with the coast in 2.5 hours, which will increase economic spillage in tourism, commerce, and the generation of new jobs, placing Oaxaca, moreover, as a spearhead in the development process of the Mexican southeast.

There are three international airports in the state: Santa María Huatulco, Puerto Escondido, and the National Airport of Ciudad Ixtepec with flights to the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). In addition, it has two relevant ports: Santa María Huatulco (during 2023, it received 31 cruises, with an economic spillage of 62.4 million pesos) and Salina Cruz (with a cargo capacity of 8.4 million tons), as well as two railway lines (K and Z).

The Isthmus will be the headquarters of a logistics center with initial access to 50 countries, derived from 14 international trade agreements with North America, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Oaxaca stands out in 24 agricultural, livestock, and fishing products. Papaya, pineapple, and lemon are positioned in first, second, and third place nationally in production, respectively. This generates investment opportunities in food industrialization and transformation, fruit and vegetable dehydration, corn flour production, seasoning and jam production, as well as coffee product manufacturing, to name a few.

Another niche is the production of mezcal, an ancestral alcoholic beverage. In Oaxaca, more than 85% of the total national production is produced, having a designation of origin. It is also the sixth entity at the national level in beer production, and it is one of the largest producers of craft beer, not to mention rum (aged and white), corn-based whiskey, and gin.

A relevant aspect in the traditional economy is textiles, characterized by being one of the most important cultural expressions of the 16 ethnic groups that inhabit the

territory, recognized worldwide for their unique beauty. These products are highly valued in national and international markets, coupled with the fact that sustainable fashion, or ethnical fashion, has acquired a lot of potential, which fosters opportunities in the production of starches and their derivatives for the preparation of fabrics, manufacture of synthetic pigments and dyes, and diversification of textile products.

The diversity of climates, natural and cultural wealth, and the warmth of its population position Oaxaca as a tourist destination par excellence. For example, the capital was selected in 2022 and 2023 as a favorite city by the specialized tourism magazine Travel + Leisure. The state ranks 14th in tourist attraction. From 2019 to 2024, it received an average of 3.7 million visitors (of which 94% are national and 6% international).

Finally, the establishment of a service window for the business sector on property crimes generates security in investments.

José Alberto: Winning the Grand Prix of a Nations Cup is a great achievement, we are in a good momentum, but I think there is still room for improvement.

Manuel: I think I'm in a good place right now, but I like to think that the best is yet to come.

6. Alberto háblanos de Quinley, y Manuel, háblanos de Hortensia ¿Se puede decir que son los caballos estrella de su cuadra?

José Alberto: Quinley definitivamente es el caballo base de mi cuadra, llevamos mucho tiempo juntos y es un caballo que da todo en cada competencia.

Manuel: Sin duda, Hortensia es la estrella y la consentida de la cuadra. Es la veterana, lo que la hace la más experimentada, pero su actitud y su condición física están a tope.

7. ¿Cuál ha sido el mayor logro obtenido en su carrera como jinetes hasta el momento?

José Alberto: El haber participado en los Juegos Ecuestres Mundiales en Herning Dinamarca.

Manuel: Los triunfos en 4 copas de naciones está entre mis mayores logros, así como haber participado en los juegos olímpicos de Tokyo.

8. ¿Qué sueño les gustaría cumplir como jinetes?

José Alberto: Participar en unos Juegos Olímpicos.

Manuel: Mi sueño es ganar una medalla olímpica.

José Alberto: Hortensia.

José Alberto: Quinley is definitely the star horse of my stable, we have been together for a long time and he is a horse that gives his all in every competition.

7. What has been the greatest achievement in your riding career so far?

Manuel: Winning 4 Nations Cups is among my greatest achievements, as well as participating in the Tokyo Olympics.

2024 es año olímpico. 20 países van a tener equipo en París en las competiciones de saltos de obstáculos y entre ellos se encuentra el de México, que logró su clasificación en los recientes Juegos Panamericanos. El CSI 5* Longines Global Champions Tour de Campo Marte va a ser el primer gran evento preparatorio de los jinetes de este país de cara a la trascendental cita del verano y el primero también para sacar conclusiones de cara a la selección definitiva del trío que competirá en el emblemático escenario de Versalles. La aventura olímpica ha empezado.

UN HITO HISTÓRICO

Londres. Agosto de 1948. El teniente coronel Humberto Mariles hacía historia para el deporte mexicano al lograr 2 medallas de oro, una individual y otra por equipos, en la disciplina de saltos y otra más de bronce por equipos en la competición de los Tres Días (Concurso Completo). A ellas se sumó la plata individual conseguida en saltos por Rubén Uriza. Mariles logró entonces una gesta que ningún otro deportista de su país ha conseguido igualar desde entonces. El caballo con el que consiguió los 2 metales dorados se llamaba Arete (por una pequeña perforación en la oreja) y era tuerto del ojo izquierdo, un lastre que no le impidió rendir al más alto nivel.

A HISTORIC MILESTONE

London, August 1948. Lieutenant Colonel Humberto Mariles made history for Mexican sport by winning two gold medals, one individual and one team medal in the jumping discipline, and another bronze medal in the team competition of the Three Days (Complete Competition). In addition, Rubén Uriza won the individual silver medal in show jumping. Mariles then achieved a feat that no other athlete from his country has managed to match since then. The horse with which he won the 2 gold metals was called Arete (because of a small perforation in his ear) and he was one-eyed in his left eye, a handicap that did not prevent him from performing at the highest level.

Los buenos resultados conseguidos en Italia le dieron una prórroga que le permitió llegar hasta Londres y hacer historia para su país. Sobra decir que el presidente mexicano retiró los cargos y acabó felicitándole públicamente.

LA CLASIFICACIÓN

Pizarro fue clave en la clasificación olímpica.
