Great progress has been made, so what are we working on now?
Our commitment from the survey was to promote better career development opportunities. All company-wide vacancies are now advertised in one place and we share these on a weekly basis. We’ve invested in training to support all line managers, and we have developed our Rising Stars programme to support our Talent Agenda. Our Aspirational Women Programme, to support Diversity & Inclusion Ambitions and our HR Survival Skills to equip our People Managers with the tools to carry out their role were both completed in 2022 and will be having an exciting evolution for 2023.

• We are in the process of creating a Management Support HR Intranet site where managers have access to various details including onboarding, recruitment and development.
• We have launched an EV Cargo Careers Page to ensure all colleagues and candidates have access to Job Vacancies within EV Cargo. The page also includes support and guidance relating to CV writing and interview skills.
• We are developing a Learning and Development Handbook, which all colleagues will have access to and will signpost what our current learning and development offerings are, including guidance on internal training programmes and e-learning, personal development and job-related apprenticeships as well as external training opportunities to support of our colleagues development.
• We have hired a new training manager who work with each business unit and function to explore what learning and development opportunities we need for our people.
• We are evolving EV People to be able to capture performance and career progression information.
• Further opportunity for our People Managers to enrol on more Manager Essential’s training (which will also include soft skills) will be developed soon.
You told us that there is no one size that fits all when it comes to communication. Whilst we have delivered a variety of platforms to communicate to all colleagues, we will explore how our communication strategy needs to develop further to support the promotion of two way communication.

Very soon we will be launching our company-wide communication platform Viva Engage, your all-inclusive, two-way engagement tool. We are working with each business unit to look at what else can be done to support creating the right approach to two-way communication and will be creating a threepronged communication strategy focussing on the needs of our colleagues, globally, regionally and globally.
Whilst our people agree to the benefits of ‘One EV Cargo’ we need to ensure all colleagues understand how they can contribute in delivering our vision. Continually looking at how we can bring our Mission, Vision and Values to life across EV Cargo regardless of role or location will remain a key focus for us all.
As part of Delivering Better evolution, we are discussing with our champions the need to set up business unit | functional specific workshops to bring to life what our Mission, Vision and Values mean to each colleague. Creating a framework that includes a set of initiatives to bring ‘Delivering Better’ to life and our network of Delivering Better Champions will help us shape and drive this journey and ensure colleagues feel listened to.
