ECO INSPIRATION

As one of our company’s core values, our focus on sustainability runs through everything that we do and our sustainability strategy continues to pick up momentum year on year.
As part of our Aspirational Women’s Development Programme, and to conclude the 2022 cohort, course participants were set a sustainability challenge. Split into five groups, colleagues were asked to put an idea forward to positively impact sustainability across EV Cargo and participants had to use skills they had learnt during the development programme such as leadership, communication, influencing and resilience to pull together their challenge presentations. These were then presented back to members of our Senior Leadership Team. We had some great ideas presented, from introducing an electric car scheme for all colleagues through to grow your own workshops and an email reduction campaign. We were extremely excited by the ideas presented and are in the process of reviewing how they can be taken forward and integrated into EV Cargo over the coming months.

We’d like to thank all participants of the 2022 Aspirational Women’s Development Programme. We are reviewing feedback to shape what our evolution of the programme will be for our next cohort. Details will be launched later this year.
With a rapidly growing economy, which offers new opportunities and alternatives to traditional sourcing strategies, South East Asia is a key region to help deliver EV Cargo’s overall growth strategy and we’ve been rapidly expanding our presence and capability in the area.
Since 2019 we’ve served many market-leading companies, but this year we are expanding across the region, establishing offices in Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand and growing capabilities at existing offices and warehouses in Singapore and Myanmar.
We will offer customers access to emerging international trade lanes and untapped growth markets, as well as providing multi-country consolidation services and final-mile distribution.
“South East Asia offers exciting growth opportunities and we’re executing quickly across the region to expand our presence and build a robust EV Cargo network underpinned by professional teams,” explains Justin Bentley, EV Cargo Vice President, South East Asia.
“At the heart of this strategy is investment in local expertise – people with extensive knowledge of each market, who know every detail of the local freight forwarding, shipping and logistics trends and know where EV Cargo can capitalise on opportunities.”
