Resurface retreats aim for a flow state with movement and mindfulness

Offering unique immersive retreats across Europe, Resurface aims to transform mental wellness through flow science. The company was founded in 2017 by Josh Dickson, a therapist, trauma clinician and leader in positive psychology, following extensive research into flow – the heightened mental state achieved during immersive activities such as surfing, painting, or pottery.

Dickson has integrated his theories into residential retreats as well as group and individual therapy sessions, combining movement-based practices, psychoeducation and flow-inducing activities along with memory consolidation techniques.

Guests will learn how to enhance their flow state, improve sleep and foster pathways to mental growth with activities including surfing in spectacular locations. These are combined with mindfulness, movement, guided hikes and contrast therapy.

This year the team is offering a Peak Performance retreat in Norway, new Moroccan retreats focused on burnout and creativity, and private retreats in Devon addressing grief, balance and self-esteem. www.resurfaceuk.com
