Bespoke rituals... naturally
Emma Webber, co-founder of Natural Spa Factory, discusses the pioneering brand’s holistic approach to skin wellness and its commitment to empowering spa operators
Established in 2009, Natural Spa Factory has always had a forward-thinking approach to business. Supplying the spa and hospitality industries with distinctive natural and ethical skin and bodycare products and treatments, it places great emphasis on offering a seasonal, personalised range that can be tailored to suit specific needs. This includes bespoke treatment protocols that empower spa therapists to be more creative and flexible.
Founded by Emma Webber and Jeremy Smith, the Bath-based brand works with leading UK spas including Lucknam Park, Archerfield House, Celtic Manor, Chewton Glen, Moddershall Oaks and Monart Spa. Its private label projects include partnerships with the Newt in Somerset, Galgorm and the Spa at Carden Park.
Focusing on botanically sourced ingredients, Natural Spa Factory uses sustainable herbs, plants and flowers in its formulations. Free from parabens, SLS, MCI, and MI, its products are produced in small batches to ensure freshness and quality, and packaged using eco-friendly materials.

Helping to empower spas
Offering businesses the freedom to create bespoke guest journeys, free from prescriptive protocols, the brand offers a range of support for independent spas, helping them to find differentiators in a crowded market.
Seasonally updated rituals for spring/summer, autumn/winter and at Christmas allow spas to reflect natural life cycles, embrace their sense of place and build on storytelling to create beautiful bespoke menus.

“We aim to empower our spa partners and encourage them to talk about what they do, rather than what we do,” says co-founder Emma Webber. “We’re an enabler. We give them products and support to help them to be more creative. Businesses should be their own drivers, not driven by product houses.”

Products with purpose
The brand’s product line includes gender neutral skincare, bodycare, haircare and some lifestyle products including candles and room diffusers.
“At Natural Spa Factory we’ve really honed in on ensuring that each and every one of our products hold a purpose,” Webber explains. “From our positive environmental impact to the use of a circular economy and steps towards becoming B-Corp later this year, it’s about more than being the best in toxic-free, natural skincare.”
The brand’s award-winning collection also features dedicated products for mothers and babies, with specific offerings for each skin type from dry to combination and sensitive skin.
Moving beyond beauty
Natural Spa Factory is transitioning from its cosmetic focus to a holistic wellness approach that considers the emotional, neurological and environmental aspects of wellness product development.
“We are looking at next generation functionality and biotech ingredients,” says Webber. “We want people to feel good, not just look good, which is why we are exploring the neurological benefits of ingredients and how this can enhance emotional wellness.
“We have an NPD consultant driving this forward. We’ve also got in-house project development and a project manager working alongside some really good chemists.”
A focus on biotech ingredients and anhydrous (water-free) formulations demonstrates the brand’s genuine commitment to sustainability. With new products due to launch later in 2025, expect to see more exciting developments.
