Fairmont Golden Prague, Czechia
In the heart of Prague’s Unesco world heritage centre Old Town, Fairmont Golden Prague has completed the multi-million euro renovation of a landmark brutalist building. Work on the hotel, originally designed by Karel Filsak in 1974, was led by chief architect Marek Tichý. The building’s history was honoured with interiors by Richmond International integrating traditional Czech glass artistry into structural elements
Featuring 320 elegant rooms, suites, and serviced residences, blending modernist aesthetics with warm tones of rich dark wood contrasted against lighter elements, the hotel is located at the gate of Parizska Boulevard on the banks of the Vltava River.
The property is the latest opening in Europe for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, which currently operates 92 hotels globally and has a pipeline of more than 30 under development, including in Udaipur, Bangkok, Tokyo, Hanoi, New Orleans and the UK over the next year.

A unique spa experience
The Spa at the Fairmont Golden Prague has five treatment rooms, including two interconnected rooms with private access to the terrace – perfect for couples. Guests can also enjoy three saunas and a steam room, relaxation lounge and landscaped spa garden.

“I am passionate about creating a unique spa experience from the ground up, bringing together diverse experiences to build something innovative and impactful,” says Rüya Karagöz, spa manager at Fairmont Golden Prague.
The treatment menu boasts two science-led product lines – Kerstin Florian’s holistic rituals and Dr Barbara Sturm’s renowned anti-inflammatory therapies and state-of-the-art skincare routines. Fairmont’s internal spa consultants collaborated on the products and treatment menu.

Fitness and fresh air
A heated L-shaped pool connects the spa’s indoor and outdoor spaces and it is said to have the only outdoor hotel pool in the city. The terrace also features a hot tub surrounded by lush greenery and inviting lounge chairs. Healthy spa cuisine is served in the Tilia Garden Café.
Fairmont Fitness has a 176sqm fitness studio. Guests can join a wide range of classes, from invigorating yoga sessions to Pilates and balance and mobility exercises. Residents are welcomed with spa membership options, granting access to the fitness studio, pool and a suite of spa amenities.
