Yātrā at Montcalm Mayfair, UK
Montcalm Collection has unveiled its flagship property in the heart of London.
The contemporary 151-room hotel is in a Georgian townhouse on a tree-lined street close to Hyde Park and Oxford Street. The project was designed by architects Holland Harvey with design by Studio Mica and Studio Est.
Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, with 300 properties in over 50 countries, Montcalm collection includes Montcalm Royal London House, Montcalm East, Montcalm Townhouse and Park Grand Hotels. The group also includes Inhabit Southwick Street and Inhabit Queen’s Gardens, both part of Design Hotels.
A transformational journey
The subterranean Yātrā spa was conceived by Cocon, a spa and wellness operator providing concept development, spa management and holistic hospitality. The rollout and operation of this new wellness concept is led by industry veteran, Jaunita Quadros, Cocon’s vice-president – hospitality and spas UK, who brings extensive expertise in luxury wellness and spa operations.
“Yātrā is a transformational journey that is sensorial and holistic,” says Quadros. “We want guests to feel special, to help them achieve their purpose, with a simple, meaningful menu that gets down to the roots of wellness, drawing from East African and Indian origins.”
Inspired by nature
Reflecting ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and London’s multicultural heritage, Yātrā offers a blend of culture, holistic wellness and refined rituals. A series of immersive journeys from Mauli Rituals and QMS Medicosmetics leave guests feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and connected to their inner selves.
The space has four treatment rooms, a yoga studio, gym, infrared sauna, hydropool, hot tub, sauna, experience shower and steam room. Expect natural woods and felt and fabric crafted wall art in warm and nature-inspired tones.
London-based MindFidelity collaborated on a signature soundscape that reflects British woodlands and forests, creating a soothing calming effect for guests during their visit. A bespoke aroma blend of eucalyptus, sandalwood, musk promotes relaxation and rejuvenation.
Complementing this flagship spa, the Yātrā philosophy is to be introduced to three of Montcalm Collection’s prime London locations, consolidating its spa offering under one unified identity, overseen by Cocon.
