He escollit els músics de carrer perquè, per mi, reflecteixen l’ànima del jazz. De l’oportunitat que van escollir molts valents per fugir d’unes condicions molt dures. Dels viatges i vivències que van anar incorporant a un estil marcat pels seus orígens però obert a qualsevol ritme. I de com van obrir un camí que tants van utilitzar per mostrar altres maneres de fer i viure. Junt amb els músics de carrer he representat alguns dels artistes que més estona m’han acompanyat al treballar. Ja que d’alguna manera ells han participat en la il·lustració, dibuix o quadre que estigués realitzant en aquells moments.
He escogido los músicos callejeros porque, para mí, reflejan el alma del jazz. De la oportunidad que escogieron muchos valientes para huir de unas condiciones muy duras. De los viajes y vivencias que fueron incorporando a un estilo marcado por sus orígenes pero abierto a cualquier ritmo. Y de cómo abrieron un camino que tantos utilizaron para mostrar otras maneras de hacer y vivir. Junto a los músicos callejeros he representado algunos de los artistas que más tiempo me han acompañado al trabajar. Ya que de alguna manera ellos han participado en la ilustración, dibujo o cuadro que estuviera realizando en aquellos momentos. I have chosen street musicians because, for me, they reflect the soul of jazz. From the opportunity they chose many brave to escape from very harsh conditions. Of the trips and experiences that were incorporated into a style marked by its origins but open to any rhythm. And how they opened a way that many used to show other ways of making and living. Together with the street musicians, I have represented some of the artists that have spent most time working with me.
