When Cristin Germaine planned the first Dare to Dream Single Moms’ Day Out in 2016, she was not sure how well the idea would be received. “When I started the journey, I didn’t know what to expect. I was just hoping to reach some single moms,” shared Germaine. That first year, 90 mothers took part, and in 2017, 125 women participated. “This year, within the first week of opening the registration, I had 70 single moms signed up, and now we’re at about 160,” said a delighted Germaine. “It’s fantastic how friends are bringing their friends.” The 2018 event has been planned for Saturday, July 21, at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The day will once again include praise and worship,
