The magazine is aimed at people from ages 16 through to their 20s, aiming to empower them from quite a young age because we believe that’s where it all starts.
A group of inner city youths have come together from multiple backgrounds and tough areas of London. They met in college while studying and began to bond because they had similar interests and life experiences. Some come from negative lifestyles due to a lack of role models, poverty and a sense of neglect from society. But are now channelling their time into something fun, entertaining and positive by inspiring other youths.
One thing that we believe is critical, is the magazine must be young people lead, for young people to relate with each other. We enable youths to be inspired by other youths doing positive things and finding out more on issues going on in and around their communities.
Especially ones that have struggled growing up in tough areas and think there’s no way out. The team became good friends and got along well together with creative minds alike and founded Endz 2 Endz.
We are open to promote and meet anyone interested and willing to support the movement. We aim to work with people who are dedicated, motivated, willing to take their talents to another level, feel it’s time we come out of negative media and feel like they would like to be a part of what we are about. So feel free to contribute, and show Endz 2 Endz and the public what you’re made of.
Endz 2 Endz is an urban British e-magazine established in 2008. The magazine is run by young people for young people, which provides a pathway for young talented people in our communities to reach their goals. It is about showcasing young underground and established UK talents and skills. These include models, writers, fashion designers, poets, musicians, athletes, photographers and many more. We are creating a new era that provides opportunity and at the same time informing readers and giving an insight into what goes on in the society around us. It creates opportunities for those who know they have talent to show the world what they are about. We decided we want to create an ‘online magazine’ that will showcase youths talents no matter what their race, area they’re from or disability they may have-so we do not discriminate in anyway. The magazine will also be looking at social issues which affect the community as a whole and individuals. We will have a topic in every issue that may be very important or has great effect on today’s society.

Endz 2 Endz were lucky enough to interview Cleo Sol, a lady making waves in the music world with songs like Hero and Tears while collaborating with artists like Tinie Tempah and DaVinChe. We caught up with her and this is what happened.

alentine’s Day just went by. Did you go out that day or keep it traditional and did not celebrate it at all? LOL.
E2E: You have been on other tracks such as Tinie Tempah’s Tears. That track came out in 2008 on Channel U what work have you done since then?
CS: I didn’t celebrate it at all; my boyfriend was
CS: We have done so many songs, I’ve lost count of how many we have done. We've nearly finished my album, we've done 'DaVinChe’s’ album. We have done a few House tracks as well, I want to do more of that and we are talks of it at the moment.

CS: Yes, it’s just showcasing what he can do. He’s a really good writer and producer, So I am just one of the artists featured on his album.
CS: I'm from Earls Court… my mum is Serbian and Spanish and my Dad is Jamaican and English.
E2E: How
did that come along and how did you meet?
E2E: What made you pursue a career in music? How did it start? CS: Well I grew up around music because my mum was a musician and so was my Dad, and i've always wanted to do it. When I was eleven, I started to go to my local youth club singing doing live shows. Then I figured “this is what I really want to do” the whole thing: performing, doing the music, writing.
CS: I had a
MySpace a few years ago, kind of like a budget kind of thing.,with a few songs. LOL. Then DaVinChe just got in contact with me. I was quite hesitant at first because I didn’t know who he was or anything. But after we swapped numbers, started talking, went to the studio and been making music ever since.
E2E: Who are your musical influences? CS: Stevie Wonder, India Arie, Beyonce, TLC, Brandy, Rihanna… There’s quite a few. E2E: What would be your dream vacation and why? CS; Well not here because we do not have nice weather (laughs) just a nice hot island, with some good food and good music. E2E: What makes you different from other singers?
E2E: If you were a superhero who would you be and why?
CS: I like Wonder Woman (laughs). I just like the way she looks her figure is like WOW, she’s got this big hair, and stars all over her. I don’t even know what she does but I like her.
E2E: What's your background? And what part of London are you from?
CS: I haven’t had the chance to showcase what I can do on stage. When I perform, think I can bring something else to the stage, like putting live instruments on.

Q: Do you believe in the saying, “Never leave the person you love for someone you like?” A: Yes that’s very true, unless the person you love don’t love you back, in which case by going with the person you like, you can build love! Q: Is it right for your girl/guy to be good friends with an ex?
Ana Santos is a university student studying to become a makeup artist from south London. Who is looking to go into catwalk makeup or editorial work In the future. Interviewed by Manny Q: Can you tell us a about yourself? A: A bit about me... I’m studying to become a makeup artist. I’m in my first year, I’m looking to go into catwalk, makeup or editorial work in the future. At the moment, I’m trying to build my portfolio, and get as much recognition in the industry as possible. Q: What do you think is the most important factor in a good relationship? A: I think the most important factor is trust. There cannot be love without trust as long as you trust each other, love will follow.
A: Well yes, you can be good friends with your exs. But be careful with the past; there’s a reason why they didn’t make it into your future. Q: Do you see jealousy as a good or bad thing in a relationship? A: Bad thing! Q: They say food is the route to a man’s soul and laughter is the key to a woman’s. Name 3 other tactics you would use to attract the opposite sex. A: 3 tactics? Ermm that’s hard. Definitely cook for him, put on something nice, a squirt of your favourite perfume, and the rest should fall into place. Q: What are the 3 qualities you look for in your ideal partner? A: The 3 qualities I look for are: someone who is humble but yet proud, reluctant but yet extroverted, and most importantly independent but dependent on me... I want someone who knows a woman’s worth!
Q: Do you consider being faithful as important? A: Well yes, being faithful is a given! If you’re not faithful to each other then what’s the point being together? Might as well be single then you can do what you want.

A: I feel really there’s two most important factors in a relationship. They’re communication and trust, because if you can’t trust or communicate with the person you’re with then you can never be truly happy. Q: What do you class as cheatin’? A: Cheating is any kind of sexual contact physical or mental. It’s real hard to elaborate; kissing, touching, having sex even texting is classed as cheating depending on what they write. But also, look, all this Facebook and Blackberry don’t help a relationship. I mean people put it on a plate for you like you’re gonna be accusing your partner of cheating if u got lots of girls/guys on your BB or messages on your Facebook. So cheating has many meanings if that makes sense. Q: Do you believe in the saying “Never leave the person you love for someone you like?” A: Boy, I will never leave the one I love for some one I like, yeah. Because the one you like will leave you for the one they love and also imagine if I leave the one I love for the one I like and he breaks my heart, then what? My motto is, “You lost a diamond because you were too busy lookin for rocks!”

A: Ok, Hi my names Jada Chantina. I’ve got a 3 yr old little boy, and not too long ago I finished uni were I studied make up, massage and hair. I’m a make up artist/model/club promoter and now gettin into casting and directing music videos.
Q: Do you see jealousy as a good or bad thing in a relationship? A: Jealousy can be both good and bad. It can destroy a relationship by driving each other away, but small doses of jealousy can make a person feel special, leaving them feeling happy and content. I suppose jealousy is okay in moderation. Q:what are the 3 qualities you look for in your ideal partner? A:Dress sense independence and wow factor in every department.

Endz 2 Endz meets up with musical sensation, Bluey Robinson. Recently signed to Sony Music, we find out what he’s been up to, where his latest musical hijack was and his best chat up lines. E2E: How you doing?
E2E: Who are your top 3 musical influences?
BR: I’m pretty good man, how are you?
BR: Musical influences (thinks). Erm, Michael Jackson has to be one. I don’t know, I have so many, really it’s quite diverse. I love Prince as well. Stevie Wonder man! Has to be! (Big smile) Yeah that’s it!
E2E: I’m great! I have to get this clear. Your First name is Bluey. What would you call yourself if you didn’t have such a cool name? BR: Aw thank you. Erm I don’t know. My second name is Alexander. Alexander Robinson? I dunno, Probably Golden.
E2E: You seem a very confident guy!
E2E: Why Golden?
E2E: What’s your best chat up line?
BR: It’s my grandads name.
BR: Aww man! Seriously (smiles), I have no game whatsoever! I’ve tried to chirps a girl like twice, maybe. Chirps is old school! Like one time at a roller disco like five years ago, I got air time! Then another time (thinks) it’s like you know when you are in a club, and a girl is like looking at you, like most of the night! Then you think, alright let me just say something, then it’s like ‘oh sorry, ‘no excuse me!’ It’s like come on man, this is who I am man!. I can’t read girls, I’m rubbish! I don’t have any chat up lines! I just say ‘hello, you alright?’ That’s it, (laughs) just let the conversation flow!

E2E: You still got the whole colour thing going on! BR: Yeah (laughs) I still got the thing! David, Tom that would just be a bit too plain, James? Nah! (laughs) E2E: You recently hijacked Harrods. How did you feel about that? You usually go underground and into the tube stations. BR: Well I done the underground thing already. If I did it again it would be cool, but we’ve seen it before. so we thought how could we change it up? People on Youtube have been asking for more videos and because I’ve been in the studio and been so busy, I thought lets go! My friend Bex, she was playing the piano in the video said, lets go to Harrods they have a music section we’ll just hijack it! We’ll probably get chucked out but it would be good, it would be cool! So we was like alright, cool! Went there, and I was learning the song and I got some of the lyrics wrong, the ‘Halo’ song. Every time I watch it I’m like aw man! I was learning it on the way, because I like the song and I wanted to do it, and we just kinda did it. It was fun man, it was good! We didn’t get chucked out or anything!
E2E: What do you have up and coming fourth in the next couple of months? BR: Its March now, so this whole month I’ve just got recording sessions. Basically getting down to finishing the album. I’ve been working on it for like a year and done half already, so it’s about trying to finish it off. A few more performances and stuff like that. I got ‘Give Me a Sign’ which is gonna be put out, just keep the buzz going, just for radio, get some DJs to play it up and down the country. Then hopefully by June/July I should be releasing my first single, like mainstream! E2E: That’s great. BR: Thank you!

Chrissie Fizz Fashion Chrissiefizz is the real deal. Friendly, ambitious, determined, funny and humble. Born and raised in South London, she grew up in Tulse Hill Estate but always wanted to travel. At the age of two, she cut a lopsided heart into her mother’s brand new curtains, showing an early interest in design and a flair for fashion. As a child, Chrissie was always ready to learn. She read everything she could lay her hands on and her vocabulary grew because of her love of literature. This stemmed her interest in writing and allowed her to produce a range of short stories and poetry, based on what she saw around her. She stayed extremely focused and motivated but gained an added stack of creativity once she moved out of Tulse Hill at the age of eleven. In 2004, she wrote the first draft of “All I Want”, which publishers turned down as she was “Too young”. She entered it into the Nanotales Short Stories competition on Bebo. It was short listed, but she didn’t win. Still, people began to print it out and pass it around to read anyway. Around this time, Chrissie started to customize garments and shoes by hand painting graffiti on in acrylic paint. Now, as a young adult, she is working on the final draft of “All I Want” and is working on her Spring/Summer 2010 fashion collection. Recently she has showcased her designs at several shows, including Untold for London Fashion Week. Also, she is at university studying a degree in Fashion Design and is working on various up and coming projects.

Project Aim The aim of the project was to style outfits suitable for “What to Wear on a Date”, which consisted of employing models to play the role of a couple and finding a photographer with the style of shooting photographs which matched my concept and theme. I took some of my Fashion Collection and met the photographer and models in Waterloo, for a location shoot, as I thought this would set the backdrop of the theme nicely. We spent almost a day shooting In various parts of Waterloo, trying out different ideas, but at the same time, trying to ensure that the shoot remained looking as though it were a date.

I joined a magazine, got a radio show and became an editor. Previously, I’d won an arts award and so I started writing poetry.

I was opposing the negative stereotypes given to youth in the media. Instead of wallowing in self pity at college, I used the pain to motivate me. Hopefully, I can be motivated in the future to help people. Anyway, my opportunities allowed me to run into Spinebreakers, a teenage editorial team run by Penguin books, where I was asked to review books and upload creative content to the site. Here, I met singer Keisha White, and attended and ran poetry workshops. Doing stuff like this, allowed me to realise that I liked creative writing... and that’s where I am now. Endz 2 Endz caught up with one of the UK’s finest artists to come out of the Grime scene. A man of great talent and versatility, he is now an actor destined for a bright future. The man behind the famous but controversial tune, ‘Black Boys’ in 2007, he is now playing a role in the new hard-hitting British movie ‘Shank’. Bashy tells us about himself, how he started, and his plans for the future. Interviewed by Seun Oginni E2E: Can you introduce yourself?
E2E: I’ve been hearing a lot about this movie that you are starring in called ‘Shank’. Can you tell us a bit more about the film?
Bashy: My name’s Bashy aka Ashley Thomas and I’m a musician/actor. E2E: How did you get into the music scene? Bashy: I first started out performing (MCing) at people’s parties, and then I gradually started going on pirate radio stations spraying bars back in the days of the underground scene. From there, people started hearing about me and it just picked up from there. E2E: What was it that motivated you to start making music? Bashy: It was really just something to do that occupied my time and I always listened to music. So I think I just had it in me because I loved music, so you could say practice made perfect really. It just got better with time and more serious. I was doing music and acting from a young age and wasn’t really mad into sports so I chose the music route. E2E: So what area (endz) are you from? Bashy: North West London E2E: Onto that famous and controversial hit ‘Black Boys’. I loved that tune and just wondered what inspired you to make it?
Bashy: Yeah, it’s a big film, set in the future, 2015, and it is going to be out very soon in cinemas, on Friday 26th March 2010 directed by Mo Ali and written by Paul Van Carter. The film is about the youth gang culture; where a group of youths take revenge for the killing of one of their friends and are battling for territory in their area. There are scenes of the harsh reality of life in some of London’s tough estates but gives the film the touch of quality. E2E: What other actors or actresses are in there?
Bashy: Round that time black youths were being portrayed in a very negative light all the time in the media. Particularly a couple of years back when the stereotype was we were killing each other and I just wanted to show that it’s not all bad. That we as a group can be positive and make something out of ourselves. There was a remix with other various artists featured on it.
Bashy: Adam Deacon, Aml Ameen, Kedar Williams-Stirling, even Eddie Kadi. E2E: As you know the Hot Topic for this issue is on ‘Relationships’, so I think it’s fair to ask are you in one, because I’m sure the ladies would like to know?

LR: River Island is treating me good but, no, I do not have my own personal stylist. I just go there and enjoy work. When I came second they gave me a card and flowers. LR: Yeah everything I cut them out of my life.

SURREAL I go by the name of Surreal and I’ve been writing since I was able to think. The way I feel, there’s a big void in terms of good music and commercial music because I only rate what’s real not what’s fabricated or hyped up to to get media attention as the next big thing. Musically my inspirations are drawn from history, life experiences and divine intervention. I write what I feel is real to me. I’ve noticed that many artists in my genres of Hip-Hop and Grime don’t produce art that depicts reality, despite what you think. I keep the UK in everything I do, I started building my buzz by DJing on a community radio station at the tender age of 15, then brought my voice to the school playground by battling friends and others alike with my lyrical skills, witty punchlines and story-telling. My friends persuaded me to make my own CD. My first idea was to find others like myself who shared the same desire to tell things as they are, using smart English with everyday slang and a poetic yet intellectual street sense.
In the end the crew I found broke up before we even started to release anything, though I had written the majority of the lyrics and started to produce some of the tracks. To date I’ve released one CD titled ‘Dear Diary’. I’ve done competitions, open mic shows and collaborated with a few artists and had my music played on underground radio stations. I’m ready to take the next step as a lyrical MC and as an Artist. I’ve received good feedback and support thus far, but there’s still a long way to go. One CD isn’t going to show the mass potential that I have but now I’m building a legacy for everyone to share young and old, because only God knows when my time might come. I’ve been modelling for just under two years now, and it hasn’t been easy. I’ve managed to secure jobs as a freelance model: in a Nike commercial for the 2010 World Cup, a shoot for ‘New Era’ in late 2008, and for up and coming clothing label ‘Projects Clothing’ and numerous debut music videos. I’m only just beginning to gain some recognition.
I have always wanted to pursue modeling as a career but now I am more serious about it. I ideally wanted to do modelling temporarily but I would like to pursue it as a career.
The ‘industry’ has this mantra that every model has to be 6ft. But though I barely stand at 5’7 I can do the job - and do it better than those typical 6ft models..
Tyra Banks inspires me because she started modeling so young and had a lot of talent for her age. I have never modeled before but I would like to because I feel it’s an area I would be talented in.

Official Mixtape Awards Founder At the age of 28, Milton McClymont has created and organised a show to appreciate underground UK music: The Official Mixtape Awards. McClymont grew up in Stonebridge, Northwest London in a tranquil household. Although he was fairly troublesome as a young boy, he quickly grew into an ambitious, entrepreneurial young man by learning from other people’s mistakes. In the mid-90’s, he attended an award show for mixtapes in the states, as he used to rap and have his own record label. This sparked an idea. Why not create a mixtape awards show in the UK? There was nothing like it around and he already had a background in event management. The first ‘Official Mixtape Awards’ took just under five months to plan. The aim of the organisers of The Official Mixtape Awards is to change the face of UK music, give artists continued hope of a breakthrough and inspire more young people to do something creative.
