Celebrating rotary mid term and year end festivities December is party time, but it came with a lot of serious work too. Our club had our AGM, second Club Assembly and Christmas party on December 12 at the NUSS Guild House. Fun time at the Club Christmas party started after the formalities of the meeting and we had President Aditya and team at the Rotaract Club of SUTD who volunteered their time to sing for members that evening. The party spirit caught on and Rtn Philip Marcelo gamely performed on the ukulele and was the accompaniment for our club singing talents, PP Leonard Loo, PP Eric Lee and PP Choe Peng Sum as they took the mic to spread the Christmas cheer to members and their family members at the event.

Club lunch on the 19 of January was replaced with the InterCity Christmas Party with R.I. President Gary Huang.

As Organising Chair for the event, President Elsie Chua was gratified by the strong turn out with over 380 Rotarians and guests attending the event. RI President Gary Huang presented a special recognition award to her for this effort and the Rotary Day Project – A Nation in Concert this year.

There were plenty of merriment and photo-takings with free print outs given to attendees. A live band played pop and Christmas tunes while Rotarians interacted and took group photos with RI President Gary Huang.

The event was a success and generated a surplus of $1858.89 for Rotary International District 3310 Bhd.

Luke Lim as the founder of A.S Louken shared with members on the power of branding for success and walked through case studies of how competitive advantage can be gleaned through a self assessment of price, quality, lifestyle, service, selection and speed across a number of his clients like Charles and Keith, Breadtalk and Neo Garden Catering.

After the talk, we had anniversary celebrants PP Andrew Koh and PP CK Lim to cut their cake.
