Localizadas no Oceano Índico, a 45 minutos de voo do sul da Índia e a 1 hora do Siri Lanka, as Maldivas reúnem tudo o que a natureza tem de melhor. A porta de entrada para o paraíso é a capital Malé, típica cidade à beira-mar de onde se parte para os hotéis em barcos, hidroavião ou helicóptero dependendo da distância para as ilhas. Como a maior parte da experiência é vivida dentro dos hotéis, a dica mais importante para quem viaja às Maldivas é selecionar um bom lugar que oferecerá boa infraestrutura durante a hospedagem. Forget about distance and flying hours. If you some proof that heaven can exist on Earth, travel to Maldive Islands. Located in Indian ocean, 45 minutes flying from Southern India and 1 hour from Sri Lanka, Maldives gather the best of natures. It is not easy describing greenish-blue of the color of the sea, which is always impressive, and even less easy the whith sand contrasting the sea. Oh, and the fish with different colors and sizes, circulating right above water’s line? Maldive Islands are formed by 1192 islands grouped in 19 atolls – part of them is for tourists, with a hotel in each island, and the other part for natives, who live basically of fishing – it is the biggest tuna exporting country in the world – and touristic activities. The entrance to heaven is Malé, the capital, typical coast city where it goes to hotels by boat, seaplane or helicoter depending on the distance. As most of the experience happens in the hotels, the most important tip for travelers is choose a great hotel, which will offer good infrastructure during your staying. The order of the day is ejnoy and mostly, practice nautical sports: swimming, canoeing, jet ski, sailing, catamaran, besides, of course, scuba diving to see stingrays, turtles and hundreds of colored fish and corals that compose one of the richest marine faunas of this planet. Even who doesn’t dive usually can’t resist temptation and age also is not a problem. You spend most of the day on water, especially because in Maldives there is almost no bad weather. The climate is tropical, warm and pleasant all over the year, except August, when it rains. Water temperature is 29º average almost everyday.
