EXPO 2015
Milan, the City of Expo 2015 Transportation, infrastructure, public spaces, computer networks: these are the characteristics of a modern and winning metropolis. Milan is presenting itself with a renewed and efficient image for Expo 2015, alongside the thousands of wonders that the centuries have left to the city “What Milan is thinking today, Italy will think tomorrow.� With these words Gaetano Salvemini, historian and anti-fascist politician, described, at the beginning of the twentieth century, what is now an international metropolis. A city projected forward, into the future. A melting pot of cultures, ethnicities and languages but also a place that tends to anticipate trends and phenomena in many areas and businesses. A city that changes more often than it would seem. An industrious and intellectual city, filled with a secret and hidden charm. It is certainly not showy, but the stories, places and characters that have made up its history are very deep. To many it may seem hectic, chaotic and cold but within it you can uncover a strong, courageous and very generous city.
