The Erie County Agricultural Society, sponsors of the fair, encourages everyone to take advantage of the deals and discounts from opening day Wednesday, August 8th until the gates close on Sunday, August 19th. Regular daily gate admission is $10 for adult and $7 for seniors (60+). Fair hours are 12pm-10pm on Wednesday August 8th and 9am-10pm August 9th – 19th.

1. PLAN AHEAD AND SAVE AT THE GATE – The Erie County Fair has teamed up with Tops Friendly Markets to offer advance sale gate admission vouchers. The cost is $7 per adult, $5 per senior (60+). Purchase vouchers at Tops Friendly Markets now through August 7th and redeem them at any Fair gate. Ask your cashier at checkout!

2. IT’S GREAT TO BE A KID! – Children 12 and under are ALWAYS free at the Fair!

James V. Campise of Beavercreek OH, age 73, passed away on July 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Isabelle and Vincent Campise.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda Campise, their children Kristan Helton and Vincent Campise; brother Alan “Al” (Debra) Campise; grandchildren Jack and Anna Campise, Kailey, Kate, and Kennedy Helton; nieces Angela Campise and Erica Schwieterman. James was a council member in Englewood for 20 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Auburn, NY. James was very active and enjoyed bowling, golf, outings with his grandkids, and was a member of a card club. Robert A. Winter, age 53, of Eden, New York, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 26, 1964; a son of Joyce (late John) Winter. He graduated from the Eden Central School. He was an Usher at the Immaculate Conception Church.

He was a volunteer with the Legion Little League Sports Program.

Robert was a proud member of the Eden Fire Department and the Holy Name Society.

He was the beloved son of Joyce (late John) Winter; loving brother of Russ (Amy) Winter, Lori (Todd) Singleton, late John and Raymond Winter and caring uncle “Bobbob” of Crystal and Colin Singleton and Sarah Jean Winter. Family and friends called at the Laing Funeral Home Inc., 2724 W. Church St. Eden.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Eden. Flowers gratefully declined.

Roy A. Hornberger, age 87, died in his home in East Eden, New York on Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was born in East Eden, New York on August 19, 1930. He was a son of Chester and Mary Hornberger, Sr. He married his loving wife; Bette J. Pineau on July 10, 1954 at St. Mary’s Church in East Eden.

They were married for 64 years. Roy enjoyed working on his dairy farm; Hornberger Brother’s Farm until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping, traveling and playing cards. Loving husband of Bette J. (nee: Pineau); devoted father of Linda (Richard) Skinner, Joyce (Steve) Cypra, Allen (Kathy) Hornberger and Sharon (Andrew) Breier.

Brother of late Gordon Hornberger, Gladys Radigan, Ethel Mammoser and Chester Hornberger, Jr. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
