Eden Family Dental has invested in two new pieces of equipment that we are excited to utilize for our patients.

Our doctors and assistant have been trained to use a digital scanner to view our patient's teeth in 3D. is is a no-radiation scanner and, in many cases, can eliminate the need to take goopy impressions of the mouth. is makes our appointments quicker and less risk of gagging during impressions.

ese scans transmit within seconds to our in-house dental mill, which employs CAD-CAM (computer aided design and manufacturing) to fabricate ceramic crowns within 40 minutes. is allows our patients to be tted with their permanent dental crown at one visit, rather than returning in 1-2 weeks or wearing a temporary crown.

Eden Family Dental is continuously looking for ways to improve the dental experience for our patients and to accommodate everyone's busy schedule.

We are currently accepting new patients, so please call 992-9511 to get scheduled for your comprehensive exam and cleaning!

Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) continued his district tour to celebrate outstanding teachers who empower their students. At North Collins Central School District, DiPietro proudly presented “Teacher of the Year” citations to Karlie Bley and Elainie Verstraete for their commitment to academic excellence and personal growth in their classrooms.

“I am proud to recognize Karlie Bley and Elainie Verstraete for their remarkable dedication to our students at North Collins CSD,” said DiPietro. “I’m thrilled to applaud their work. I understand the transformative role educators play, and these two teachers are shining examples of excellence in the community.”

Schoolhouse #8 New Docents

As the summer continues fly by us, Schoolhouse #8, next to the North Collins Library has had great opportunities to not only enjoy and learn from the Schoolhouse, but to help it flourish. We recently trained several North Collins residents like Sandra and Christine, as docents, to make visitors comfortable and learn about the rich history of the Schoolhouse and North Collins. Schoolhouse #8 has been fortunate to sponsor a Grand Opening celebration, a Kids Day with old time games and free refreshments, a garage sale to help support this beautiful piece of history and more. Our community support has been fantastic!

Senator Gallivan Announces State Funding for Veterans’ Organizations in Eden

Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C, Elma) says two veterans’ organizations in the Town of Eden have been awarded grants to support improvements to facilities that serve veterans, service members and their families. The grants are among sixteen projects across New York funded through the latest round of the state’s Veterans’ Nonprofit Capital Program.

“These important grants will help ensure our veterans and military families have access to safe, updated facilities to meet and receive vital services,” Senator Gallivan said. “The funding is also an investment in the greater Eden community, which benefits greatly from these organizations and their facilities.”

Under the program, Newell-Faulkner American Legion Post 880 will receive $75,000 for roof replacement, driveway improvements, new drainage, and a generator.

VFW Eden Memorial Post 8265 will also receive $75,000 for HVAC upgrades and a generator.

The grants, ranging from $25,000 to $75,000, are administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York in partnership with the Department of Veterans’ Services.

CORN HOLE COMPETITION

Sunday, August 3rd • Registration begins at 12:00pm • Games begin at 1:30pm

Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the corn hole platform until a contestant reaches a score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. If you can aim and toss a corn bag 30 feet, you can master the game of Cornhole. Stop by and give it a try!

The Original Kazoo Company, located right here in the heart of Eden, was announced as an inductee of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. The Kazoo Factory has been manufacturing Kazoos since the early 1900's! They still use original machines and equipment--a true must-see! Since being taken over by Sasi in the early 2000's, the Kazoo company has solely employed individuals with various physical and/or cognitive disabilities. Many of which could not earn a paycheck elsewhere.
