who was called to her heavenly home on October 12, 2022. Loving wife of Norman E Bromley for 64 years. Mother of Cara (Sean) Johnson, Jennifer Frazier, Norman Jr (Brenda) Bromley. Amazing Nana to Kirk (Deidre) Johnson, Grace (Tom) Prendergast, Mitchell Johnson, Wyatt and Hayden Bromley. Blessed Great Grandmother to Rosie and Beau Prendergast, and Noah Johnson. Karen loved the Lord and dedicated her life to sharing God's word through teaching in many Bible Studies and other groups in the area over many years. She was instrumental in the formation of the Christian Endeavor youth program at The First Church of Evans, touching so many young people's lives with its outreach. Karen continued to reach out to so many in need with regular visits spreading God's Love and Hope up until the time of her passing. Most of all “Nana” truly loved her family and all the precious moments spent all together. The ultimate Matriarch, she showed constant unconditional love. Her laugh, her wisdom, her strength and her encouragement will be missed so much. A celebration of life praise service will be held in the spring. I Remember When

On My 7th 1935, the Eden Bank was robbed by four men. I was only 8 years old and the only thing I remember is that a boy stood at the four corners in Eden the next day selling papers about the robbery. The newspaper account states that four heavily armed bandits held up the Bank (now the Randall Agency) One account says they took $10,000, another was $14,022.05. The employees and patrons were made to go to the cellar where they were locked up in the Coal room. Bill Stickney, father of Bob Stickney. the bookkeeper crawled through a window and gave the alarm. Electronic Recycle Day Held
On October 22, 2022, Robert and Dorothy Cornell of Cape Coral, Florida (formally of Eden) celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary! Bob and Dottie had 3 children, have 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
On Saturday, October 22, 2022 an electronic recycle day was held by the Town of North Collins. The weather was beautiful, that was fortunate. The Drop off started at 9AM. There were cars in the Community Center parking lot by 8:30AM. Sunnking Electronic Recycling had left 10 pallets to use for the collection. Those 10 were filled in short order. Everyone who came for the drop off was very kind and considerate of the process. The Town Clerk, Lynn DiVincenzo spearheaded the drop off after working diligently with Sunnking. The Town is very lucky to have had this opportunity instead of finding electronics on the side of the road or in garbage bins. The 10 pallets that were allotted were not enough to take care of all the needs of the community. The next electronic drop off will be November 12, 2022.
