Updates from the Board Hi Key Clubbers! It is 2022, a whole semester has passed us by, and although we may still have 5 months of school left, we have less than 2 months left in this service year. I hope everyone's been holding up well despite the ongoing pandemic. Thank you for helping us continue to keep the Key Club spirit alive and well virtually. This is still fairly new to us, but as we slowly get the hang of it, we hope that we can bring more fun service projects and events to you all. I continue to wish you all the best in your studies and other pursuits you may have, and enjoy this issue!

Hi ECD! I hope the new year is treating you well so far! I am so excited to see what these next couple of months will bring until the end of my term. This past year has been challenging with switching between online and in person school, but I’ve seen what you all have still been doing with Key Club and I couldn’t be prouder. Keep up the great service and your commitment to school these next couple of months and I hope I see you at DELC in March!!

Letter from the Intl. Trustee Hey there, Eastern Canada! Welcome to the new year! 2022 is our time to shine as servant leaders! Feel free to share your volunteer efforts with me or on social media to give others great ideas for their club! If you or your club have not paid dues, please do so as soon as you can. To be considered an official member of Key Club International, run for leadership positions, or attend the International Convention, your dues must be paid! In fact, if you successfully submitted your dues payment by January 1, you may have a chance to receive incredible gifts like a flight to Washington D.C., hotel room at ICON, or merchandise! Check out that information right here. The International Board has been and will be working on document translations, election materials, global events, member representative trainings, contacting international liaisons, reviewing bylaws and policies, and much more. If you have an interest in these topics or would like to ask any questions, please contact me! To hear more about KCI, leadership, or events, you can sign up for a phone call with me here or attend my monthly office hours on the first Wednesday of the month! February’s office hours may be a bit different, though, because I’ll be in Washington D.C. for the International Board’s meeting! For more information about office hours, follow ca.mi.wins on Instagram and look for emails from me! I’m looking forward to seeing what you all accomplish this year! Have a peaceful time with your family and friends :) Yours in Friendship and Service,

recap

Divisional Fall Rallies Division 8/9/10 and Division 4 had a fantastic Fall Rally in October. Finesse and took our love of Fall and created a rally around the theme of Fall Changes. We ran two successful workshops: Small Changes to Change your Life, and Dealing with *Actual* Change (Living on a budget). We also had a workshop on perseverance from the Willow Youth Network. Throughout the day, we did some super fun activities such as Finish the Lyric, creating colouring pages for a local resource centre. To finish the day, Finesse and I took a pie to the face to thank everyone for coming. -- Brooke Colman

Divisions 2 and 5 ran 2 workshops - one was about the importance of networking and the other was about mental health and how to take care of your mental health. We also had a very interesting discussion about some controversial topics like pineapple on pizza and what colour every subject (like math, english, etc.) is. -- Deepika Ramkumar

It is also a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to not only spend time with your fellow Key Clubbers, but to also meet new, like-minded friends from all over the country under a shared value of volunteerism and bringing good to the community.
