MISSIONS, SERVICE & BENEVOLENCE (MSB)
ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN 2022:
Mentored 10 C.H.A.M.P.S. (Communities Helping Assisting Motivating Promising Students) students by providing opportunities to learn and grow through education, college prep, service learning, character development, and fellowship during a summer camp and once a month follow-up activities. Session moved funding for all mission trips (Adult and Youth) to NED.

Awarded 4 CHAMPS scholarships totaling $20,000 for former students attending college.
Facilitated service for 5 Interns during the summer months (June 7th - August 8th). They participated/volunteered in HS COMPASS, MS Massanetta, CHAMPS Camp, HS Chicago mission trip, MS Praying Pelicans mission trip, Music Camp, Epworth Children’s Home, The Cooperative Ministry, Jubilee Academy, & VBS Week.
Donated $10,000 to support Midlands Capernaum (part of Young Life’s ministry).
Donated $11,250 to fund 50 children (boys & girls, 6-12yrs old) to go to The Salvation Army’s Camp Walter Johnson in Denton, NC.
Held the Women’s Shelter Souper fundraising event in Thompson Hall for the first time since Covid.
Collected and dispersed donations to the Mall to Manger Project which gives church members the opportunity to make honor gifts for friends and relatives during the Christmas season.
Donated camp supplies for 3 campers attending Camp Cole’s Camp Impact and served lunch for about 86 children.
Donated $5,000 to missionary Semyon Lee in Central Asia to support his ministry that works with youth.
Continued providing weekly filled backpacks with weekend food for 25 children at Bradley Elementary.
Restarted the Bradley Lunch Buddies Program with approximately 60 students and 60 buddies (volunteers) that meet for lunch every other Tuesday during the school year.
