Congregational Care and Concern Mission: To serve in the name of Christ because of His love for us and His church, and to show God’s love and concern for members of the church by providing visitation, encouragement and support.

Accomplishments in 2020: • Care Team Training Manual was completed on the computer and is ready for use. • We formed 225 Shepherd Buddy Groups to check on people by neighborhood during the COVID 19 pandemic. • We established a care line to either help people or to receive help from people for those at high risk during the COVID 19 pandemic. • Help the congregation be more willing to accept Stephen Ministers in times of crisis by educating the congregation more with the use of brochures, articles, and devotions. This goal was not met due to the pandemic and decreased administrative staffing. • Make congregational care ministry information available to the congregation through the use of brochures, magazine, e-news, slides, and daily devotions. This goal was not met due to the pandemic and decreased administrative staffing.

Goals for 2021: • Provide either a hand held cross or stress ball with Eastminster logo with the initial meal from the meal ministry for folks who are in a time of crisis. • Begin to create online list of grief resources. This is just a beginning of this process. • Provide Care Team training so that Eastminster is ready to serve in this ministry when the pandemic allows us to be in closer contact with people that might be at higher risk.
