Mission: The purpose of the CLC is to be a center of activity where the love of Jesus Christ is shown through Christian fellowship in a safe, engaging and Holy environment where the community can come together and particpate in recreational programs and utilize our facilities so that we may uplift one another spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. To glorify God by reaching out to those around us to help encourage, develop, and nurture relationships with and faith in Jesus Christ.

Accomplishments in 2020:

• Remained open to following the Holy Spirit’s direction for the

CLC • Worked with Douglass Key on implementing the vision and mission of the CLC • Hired a full-time CLC director, Emmet Hough (pictured here) • Focused on Improvement of game room area • Purchased, assembled and set up 4 new tables & 16 new chairs for the Game Room (see photo on right, p. 35) • Added 3 water bottle filling stations (photo bottom left p. 35); 2 in the Game Room and 1 in the Fitness Room area • Removed all vending machines from the Game Room area • Researched best use and placement of front desk • Implemented new $60 charge and scholarship options for guests of the CLC who are not members of

EPC • Provided new and continued opportunities for spiritual, physical, and social development whether inperson from Jan until March, or virtually via Fitness Classes through the website • Children’s & Youth Basketball League play was suspended due to COVID • Church League Basketball play was suspended due to COVID • Researched best practice for maintaining fitness equipment • Reviewed and considered recommendations from the Dreaming and Discernment process • Provided support for the CORE retreat on March 6-7, the last normal in-person event before the shutdown due to COVID-19 • Successfully & safely hosted 2 Red Cross Blood Drives in May & October 2020 • Successfully & safely hosted the Small Group Kick-off in September of 2020 • Entered member information electronically to create a membership database for use in tandem with

Shelby for mailings for events like CORE, Sportsmen’s Banquet or future Mission Outreach initiatives. • Mural Artwork for the Gameroom using Eastminster’s Branding (Logo Mark) was created and installed with the help of committee member and designer, Sabrina Barr (see photo to right p. 35)

Goals for 2021:

• Remain open to following the Holy Spirit’s direction for the CLC • Work with Douglass Key on implementing the vision and mission of the CLC • Research and develop a plan to maximize use of the Game Room area, including how best to utilize the area where the vending machines once stood. Focus on additional improvements for the game room area • Research best use and placement of front desk • Continue $60 charge and scholarship options for guests of the CLC who are not members of EPC • Provide new and continued opportunities for spiritual, physical, and social development • Monitor basketball policy and adjust as needed • Research best practice for maintaining fitness equipment • Review and further consider recommendations from the Dreaming and Discernment process • Host at leasat two Red Cross Blood Drives in the CLC during 2021 • Add a wooden cross to the Walking Track area • Provide support for the CORE Retreat in May
