Personnel Mission: To be a resource for the senior pastor and the various areas of ministry involved in the management, care and supervision of church employees
Accomplishments in 2020: • Recognized staff members individually during the fall by Personnel Chair walking around campus and thanking the members of our staff for their work. This recognition was done since Eastminster was unable to hold the employee recognition luncheon in May. • Reviewed and approved renewals of insurance & benefits for 2021 for staff. • Provided guidance with staff work schedules and safety precautions related to the pandemic of Covid-19. • Worked with search committees and other ministries to hire a Director of the CLC (Emmet Hough), a ministry assistant for the Senior Associate Pastor (Janice Blair), Associate Pastor for Sr. Highs & Young Adults (Nick Demuynck) and a Middle School Youth Director (Bethany Dixon). • Approved moving the position of Sound Technician from part-time to full-time due to the increased need of virtual productions. • Conducted evaluations for Eastminster staff. • Approved Eastminister’s 2021 Personnel Budget. • Approved a change in Eastminster’s 403(b) Adoption Agreement to allow all staff (part-time as well as full-time) the opportunity to establish and contribute to a retirement savings account. • Provided feedback, support & guidance to Personnel matters as needed.
Goals for 2021: • Conduct a review of the current employee handbook for the staff. • Tentatively plan the Staff Appreciation Luncheon in May 2021 and provide a Christmas Luncheon in December 2021 if able due to pandemic. • Conduct Evaluations for all Staff. • Assist with filling staff vacancies on EPC staff. • Continue to review and refine the compensation and salary management. • Plan & prepare for a job succession plan for key personnel -Business Manager, Director of Facilities and EDS Director to name a few. • Provide support and assistance to our employees for personal growth and development as it relates to their job within the EPC organization. • Provide feedback, support & guidance to Personnel matters as needed.
