THROUGH SCREENING OF CANDIDATES

All candidates are required to complete several pre-employment activities to ensure they have the skills, qualifications and capabilities to fulfil the requirements of the role.

SITE INSPECTION AND RISK ASSESSMENT

Our team work to identify, assess and monitor potential hazards and risks that may pose a risk to the health, safety and wellbeing of labourhire workers and others at each workplace.

A risk assessment involves an in-depth review of a plant, equipment or a work task to ensure the item or task being reviewed is as safe as practicable for the employee.

TOOLBOX TALKS

Regular talks are delivered to labour-hire workers, to increase awareness of WHS matters and any identified performance issues or other job-related information. Drake also actively encourages participation from our workforce in developing new safety initiatives, pro-actively identifying on-site risks, and speaking up about unsafe work practices.

Drake has dedicated safety resources who come with extensive industry experience and detailed knowledge of relevant WHS regulations, providing practical advice on a wide range of work, health and safety issues.

INJURY AND INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

Drake implements various injury/incident prevention strategies. Where an injury or incident occurs at a host employer site, Drake has various strategies in place to report, manage and investigate the event. Drake has a dedicated injury management team that manages this process, including the return to work and rehabilitation function.
