The DPWH Cebu 5th District Engineering Office commemorate the 126th Founding Anniversary of the Department of Public Works and Highways on June 3, 2024.
The day started off with an intercolor parade around the office compound featuring each team’s banner and sport jerseys.
The fun didn’t stop there as an exhibition game was participated by Cebu 5th DEO executives and a Destiny Game joined by all employees
DPWH Cebu 5th DEO celebrates by initiating a Sports promoting employees’ physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship In the end, the teams that have been hailed as champions are the Planning and Design Section (Red Horse) for Basketball Men and the Construction Section (Blue Orcas) for Volleyball Women
The Cebu North Cluster is composed of four (4) DEOs - Cebu 4th DEO, Cebu 5th DEO, Cebu 6th DEO and Cebu City DEO. The Basketball Men and Volleyball Women games were held in Cebu 5th DEO’s court Advancing to the semis, Cebu 5th and Cebu City DEO represented Cebu North for Basketball Men, while Cebu 5th and Cebu 4th DEO represented for Volleyball Women

After a big win in the semis, DPWH Cebu 5th DEO Women’s Volleyball Team secured a spot in the finals to compete with Cebu South, Bohol and Negros and Siquijor Cluster representatives
The team won third place in the overall standing with Bohol 2nd DEO on second place, and the Regional Office VII as the champion.
