Therefore, is so important for Temples and Courts to create a social ecosystem that allows you to get in front of the people who find your cause worthy of their support. If this were not enough to convince you, here are a few more reasons you should seriously consider putting more into your online presence than you ever have before.
Reason 1: Creating campaigns on social media can reach your target audience cheaper and faster than ever before. People would rather crowdfund by clicking on links than purchase physical raffle tickets, etc. For example, Omaze, a phenomenally successful company, offers great prizes via a raffle system where people can donate to different nonprofits. Collaborations are the key to success. Reason 2:
Can you say everyone on my social media pages knows that I am part of this organization? Do they know that I am a Noble or a Daughter? If the answer is no, then you are eliminating your greatest asset from assisting you in fundraising. If your friends, see you supporting a fundraiser they are more likely to donate to it as well. Want proof? The social media platform known as Facebook does this every time your birthday comes around. It asks you to pick a nonprofit to donate to and will post on your page that you are soliciting donations for your charity of choice. If everyone raised $250 on their individual platforms through their friends list twice a year our ability to provide meaningful scholarships would increase a thousand fold.
Reason 3:
Increase your community of supporters. Selling tickets now becomes easier as people know who you are and what you are doing in the community. The support you will receive will skyrocket. Now that you are recognized in the community, it will open more doors than you realize. Influencers now become part of your ecosystem as they help you spread the word. In short, Social Media can be your greatest ally in building your nonprofit’s brand, but it is up to you to embrace it.
