FAYETTEVILLE CAR SHOW
Fayetteville Lions Club Classic Car Show
The Fayetteville Lion’s Club hosts the Fayetteville Classic Car Show annually in downtown Fayetteville. The mission of the Lions Club is Service and giving back to the community is what the car show is all about. In 2019, the show raised over $9,000 for the scholarship fund for Fayetteville Independent School District.
“Money is raised from event sponsors, car registration, and food sales,” said John Dennis, chairman of the car show committee. “The Fayetteville Lions support college scholarships for the graduating seniors of our community.”
The show is open to antiques, classics, hot rods and trucks and saw over 100 entries displayed in 2019. “The majority of cars came from neighboring towns such as Weimar, Columbus, La Grange, Bellville, Hempstead, and Brenham,” Dennis added. “However, we also have entries traveled from as far away as Houston, Spicewood Springs, Wharton, Katy, Richmond and Rosenberg.”
The show takes place annually in April on the historic downtown square in Fayetteville.
