FAYETTEVILLE BANK

Service That Makes Cents

Fayetteville Bank shares both their history and plans for the future.

Community banks have traditionally played a critical role in keeping their towns vibrant and growing. Fayetteville Bank, right in the heart of downtown, is a shining example of a community bank that has maintained a strong commitment to that tradition while adapting in modern ways to better serve their community.

“The bank was charted here in 1917,” said Kyle Holloway, president of Fayetteville Bank. “Our forefathers saw a need for a financial institution in Fayetteville and we’ve been proud to serve the community for over 100 years. Today, we’re also focused on the future. As our customer base grows, the bank grows, and everyone benefits. We are fortunate to have long-tenured employees, like Shirley Sodek and Betty Heinsohn, and we know that none of our success could be accomplished without all of our hardworking team members. Our customer service is above and beyond because our employees go above and beyond.”

“Fayetteville Bank has always been a stable institution,” added Marissa Anderson, assistant vice president. “Service and longevity keeps employees here and keeps our customers coming back for generations of banking.”

With a firm grasp on their historical roots, Fayetteville Bank faced growing pains in 2013 that forced them to relocate to better serve their increasing customer base.

“We were trying everything we could to expand in our original location across the square,” shared Holloway. “We didn’t have a drive-thru and we were out of space. Fortunately, there was an opportunity to acquire three lots where an old restaurant and hotel used to be. We started from scratch and because two of the lots were on the historical register, we really had to be certain we followed the guidelines. With this move, Fayetteville Bank doubled in size to ten-thousand square feet and went from not having any drive-thru lanes to offering customers four drive-thru lanes. We wanted to steer clear of a modern look, so we worked closely with both the FDIC and Texas Historical Commission to finalize the design you see today; efficient on our end but also pleasing to the eye. We kept the overall ambiance.”

Fayetteville Bank’s team stands ready with the experience that only comes from serving generations of customers in Fayetteville. And even though they may have been around for over 100 years, that doesn’t mean that Fayetteville Bank is lacking in all of the modern banking services that new generations have come to expect.

“After all these years, we still have great pride in the work we do,” added Holloway. “The satisfaction that comes from serving our community is what gets us going every day. All three of our locations have grown exponentially in the past few years and continue to do so. We will continue to serve Fayetteville with personal attention and an individualized approach our customers have come to expect, all with the added resources of being a part of our banking family.”

Fayetteville Bank is located at 107 West Fayette and online at fayetttevillebank.com. Their Schulenburg location is at 200 North Kessler and they can be found in La Grange at 366 West Travis.

After all these years, we still have great pride in the work we do.
