The Malota House at Christmas
203 Thompson Street
The children of Justin and Jean Malota have made it a family affair to display over 150,000 lights at their home from the Sunday after Thanksgiving through the first of the year.
It all started with their daughter, Sandra Janish and her husband, Robert, instructing her father on hanging lights. “I said ‘Dad, let me show you how to wrap a tree’ and he took off from there,” Janish said. “It has grown every year.”
Weekend visitors are welcome to stop, stroll through the outside display, and visit with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, typically starting around 6:30 p.m.
