Welcome to the Tribe

Are you, like us, surrounded by technology day in day out? Well, welcome to the club of digital natives! But what does it mean exactly to be a digital native?

Marc Prensky coined this term for the first time in 2001 to describe a new generation of people. A generation of people that was born with technology all around it. As digital natives we behave and think differently and perhaps even our brains have physically changed because of this.

We are all quite literally 'native speakers' of the digital language of computers, video games and internet, as Mr. Prensky found. As opposed to older generations, digital immigrants, our lives completely revolve around technology and whether you like it or not, we simply can't live without it. In other words, we as digital natives speak an entirely new language as compared to digital immigrants who are struggling to keep up with the pace!

Being a digital native is a gift however it can sometimes feel as a big burden. Do you ever have the feeling that new streams of data just keep coming towards you? That you just can't keep up with all those social media posts and the latest trends?

Well... you are not alone! We have created and a magazine that will help you navigate through the digital landscape whether you want to become an expert on using ChatGPT with awesome guidelines, check reviews for the latest movies that explore the themes of digital life, be inspired by interviews with digital frontrunners or perhaps read articles about the latest trends, this magazine features it all. In this newest issue you can find out all there is to know about social media and social networking.

Unfriended: Dark Web

One of the most powerful elements of “Unfriended: Dark Web” is its creative format. By presenting the story entirely on a computer screen, the film creates a sense of realism that attracts the interest of the audience. The use of social media platforms and messaging apps also adds to the film's reality as the use of social media platforms and messaging apps accurately paints a picture of how people communicate online.

Beyond those, the movie has set up a nervous and horrifying atmosphere successfully. The jump scares in the movie is really effective that the tense feeling will still remain even the movie is over, leave the audiences a lasting impression.

Unfriended: Dark Web

However, the film also has its weaknesses. The storylines are predictable and some of the characters' actions feel forced and unrealistic. The film's dependence too heavily on jump scares may leave some audiences bored, who prefer more delicate horror films.

Overall, “Unfriended: Dark Web” is a horror film that explores the dangers of the internet, presented in a unique and inspiring way. While not for everyone, those who enjoy being scared and appreciate a fresh perspective in horror will find it a satisfying and entertaining film.

Andrew Tate: Good or Bad success ?

Since the beginning of 2021, Andrew Tate has been seen and heard by everyone on the internet. With a large community on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, Tate has become a polarizing figure among the young generation. Many see him as a source of inspiration with his rich habits and fancy cars; others see him as a controversial and misogynistic influencer.

Tate’s notoriety has been fuelled by a series of scandals and bad publicity over the years. Many videos of him beating women or even racist and homophobic tweets have generated a lot of hatred towards him. However, this negative attention has only increased his visibility.

Despite his controversial ideas, Tate is also known for being an inspirational figure. He is known for his quotes such as “your mind must be stronger than your feelings.” He calls himself as a coach for entrepreneur giving advice and helping others to become successful in their field.

How did he gain popularity?

Andrew Tate started his life in the US but soon moved to Luton in England due to his father low income. He demonstrated great abilities in chess when he was young and in kickboxing.

Andrew Tate’s career started in the 2000s as a kickboxer. He won the international Sport Karate Association (ISKA) title in 2011 achieving the name of the 2nd best kickboxer of the world. His income was unsatisfactory so he decided that he wanted to be famous and rich and started working on it.

In 2014 he starts social media and accumulated really fast a large number of followers. His larger-than-life personality and flashy lifestyle quickly earned him a lot of attention among the internet users.

With his brother he created a company of “camgirls”, a certain type of soft porno. After some time his income increases to 600 000 $ per month. But he multiplied it by investing it in crypto currency. At this stage he was rich but not as popular as he wanted.

I’m not saying it’s OK you got raped.” the 18 of October 2017. But then got readmitted.

Today Tate is in prison at Bucharest in Romania for suspicions of human trafficking, rape and formation of a criminal group with his brother.

So at the End ?

In the same year Andrew Tate launches, the “Hustler university” which aims to mentor and coach entrepreneurs to achieve success and money. With this program he gained millions of dollars. However, his image online and behaviour attracts a lot of critics and doubts about his mentor abilities.

Despite all the controversy Tate remains a popular social media personality. Whenever he publishes a video or an interview, the clips are then sent by the Hustlers students in many different platforms including YouTube and TikTok which allows him to gain thousands of new followers each time. Paco Martínez´s interview about the danger of social media and the role that companies play in the protection of the ¨ users¨.

Paco Martínez Ruiz, who works as a global media manager in ¨ Reckitt¨ a British company that produces global brands has accepted to be interviewed about the risks of social media and the influence of companies in this sector.

How do social media companies select what to show to each user?

How has social media changed over the past decade?

Paco starts by saying, that as some things remain the same such as the social network business model and the way companies want users to spend more time on their screens to earn more revenue, there has been a noticeable evolution in this sector over the past decade.

Firstly, the purpose of social media has change. Platforms of social media were mainly used for communication with people in our inner circle. However, in the past 10 years, people have been using it more and more as an entertainment media and people now days watch videos and images of people they do not know.

Another big change has been the use of artificial intelligence in social media companies, as they select the content that they show to people, according to their preferences, using technology.

The last main change that Paco mentions with concern, is the increase in harmful content, as the objective of many people is not only to entertain but also to spread dangerous or harmful information.

Paco mentions, the ¨ enormous amount of music, images and videos that companies have¨ when they are trying to select the appropriate content for the users. Selecting this would be impossible without technology. Nonetheless, that is not the only role that technology plays. Technology is also widely use to protect the users from the harmful content that can be spread.

What are the risks for users when using social media?

Paco carefully explains that the idea that people have of ¨ harmful¨ is not the same for everyone, therefore the companies must be careful with how they decide what is considered as ¨ harmful¨ and what is not. The Global Alliance for responsible Media (GAM), is an organisation formed by a group of social platforms, that have set standards for the industry, in order to classify the dangerous content. ¨ They have 9 different categories. ¨ Paco explains, ¨ The first one being adult and explicit sexual content; arms and ammunitions; the crime and harmful acts; death, injury and military content; hate speeches; obscenity and profanity; illegal drugs, tobacco and alcohol; terrorism and the last category being debate and sensitive social issues which can attack minority groups and behaviours.¨

10

One of the main challenges for these companies is to detect and block this negative content on time. ¨ Paco explains how the people that spread harmful content are also using different type of technology to be able to show what they want to show, without getting blocked and cancelled from social media.

How can social media improve?

Paco said that in order for social media to improve, it is important that people have access to different kind of information. Social media could give the opportunity to raise awareness about certain social issues and give access to content that could help people complementing their education. This information could be spread around the world and not only within a country or a specific community.

It has also been mentioned that ¨ social media platforms could organise better this information to reinforce different important topics and not only to distribute the content, only based in the most popular videos and images, with more likes or which are shared the most. ¨

Users might be satisfied as they receive content that they like and share, but the negative effect of companies selecting this kind of content, is that it might narrow down the vision that people have about other topics. This will reinforce people´s own belief even if they are unethical and harmful for themselves and for the rest of the society.

What would be a good advice for the users of social media?

As a conclusion, Paco encourages all the social media users to analyse the information and the news that they receive and their reliability.

¨ Always think if the information you want to share, could be eventually used against you, or for a different purpose as the things we share in social media, will always remain somewhere. ¨ The last advice Paco gives to the users, is to report harmful and offensive content to protect the users themselves, but also to help the social media platforms to develop a better system to identify this type of negative content.

Exploring the Potential Risks of Using Pinterest

Did you know about Pinterest?

Pinterest is a popular app for collecting pictures all over the world ! Pinterest has been used by 8,700,000 people since 2010. You can get high-quality images and ideas from the pictures on Pinterest. On the other hand, there are some risks when you use it. You will know what to watch out for and how to use Pinterest properly after reading my whole article.

Do we have any risks?

Harmful links

There is a function in which a user can add links with a picture. This means a user can post a link with a picture even if it is a scamming link or a harmful one. Therefore, it is advisable not to click on links if you are unsure of their legitimacy as harmful links can be difficult to identify beforehand.

If you really can trust a name of the link, you can click it, however, I do not recommend doing so as harmful links can be difficult to identify nowadays.

Copyright

As you already know, not all pictures on Pinterest have free copyright, so it would be copyright infringement when you used a picture from Pinterest in your jobs or other commercial places without any permission. Especially, some pictures of celebrities or drawings are often posted on Pinterest without any permission from the people who took the picture or drew the painting.

Pinterest
12

Terms of service

On the terms of service, it says when you are sued due to copyright infringement, you must pay your costs of a lawsuit and Pinterest's costs of a lawsuit. Most people don’t read terms of service carefully, however there are some important things which you must know, you are supported to go through before you start using it.

Advertisements

There are numerous advertisements on Pinterest and sometimes harmful advertisements are hidden, so you must watch out and basically you should not enter advertisements on Pinterest.

How to use properly?

 Don't click a link on Pinterest if you cannot trust the link.

 Take anti-virus protection.

• I recommend taking anti-virus protection because we may enter harmful websites accidentally.

 Read the terms of service of Pinterest carefully before you start using it .

 Watch out for copyright when you use pictures on your job. (It is better to not use pictures from Pinterest when you are not sure.)

Even if you searched for a ‘free-copyright picture’ on Pinterest, some pictures may still be copyrighted, as the pictures shown depending on your preferences. If you have a strong preference, the pictures are influenced by your preference, and you will not able to obtain images which you want to get right now.

Conclusion

Pinterest is a great app to collect pictures easily and your works will be helped by Pinterest as you use it, however there are some potential risks when you use it. If you have not started using it, just make an account and sign up after you read this guideline!!

Is it art?

Newly introduced technology has been changing the perspectives on artwork.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is human-made technology in which human intelligence is inserted into computer systems. It has only been 70 years since the first AI was created, and its intelligence has become very close to us. The first AI was developed by Stanford University, in which a robot could move freely within a space. In 1966, the first language-processing AI was born, called ELIZA. Since then, the development of AI accelerated. It was thought that AI doesn’t have any emotions and creativity, but is it really true?

Generative AI

Creativity was one thing that computers can’t mimic. However, generative AI could process all the data to create something new. Stable Diffusion is a website released in 2022, that can turn the inputted words into an image. It has studied billions of images, and the AI will use that knowledge gained from existing images to create an artwork or a picture. Those artworks are high quality, and even art specialists can’t identify if it is made by humans or not. The other websites are capable of turning a photo into art too.

There was a controversy when one of the designers, Jason Allen, won a digital art competition using generative AI. As it has already been stated that this competition needed the involvement of technology at some point. In contrast, some people commented that Jason Allen’s digital painting is mostly done by AI, and shouldn’t call that as artwork. On the other hand, he claimed that he had spent more than 80 hours editing the work, which showed that the work was his.

Although that news article caused controversy, even art experts can’t tell the difference between the work of AI and humans. In my point of view, I believe that it can’t be called an art since it processes the existing artwork which means it lacks creativity and originality. However, since AI doesn’t have stereotypes so they could mix a variety of interesting objects to create unique work. Can you call the artwork generated by AI an art?

LinkedIn, the new skeleton

key to a job opportunity

Creating a perfect LinkedIn profile is a gamechanger for your career and your future. This Social Network is a tool for job applicants: it allows you to publish your experiences to stay updated on changes and evolutions in the market and helps you create a dense network of contacts. Whether you are a recent graduate or a top manager, when employed to its full potential, LinkedIn can be useful because you can find different, new opportunities every day. If you're a young adult looking to create a LinkedIn profile, here are some guidelines to follow:

Photo by Arsyah Photo by Sina
15

Sign up for an account:

Visit the LinkedIn website and sign up for an account. It's free to join, and you can use your email address or your Google account to sign up.

Choose a professional profile picture:

Your profile picture should be professional and appropriate for the industry you're in. Dress appropriately and choose a clear, high-resolution photo. You should be the focus of the photo and the only person who appears in it.  Take either a close-up or a half-length photo.

Create a headline:

Your headline should summarize your professional experience, skills, and accomplishments. Use creativity, showing your passion for what you do or what you would like to do. It should be catchy and informative, and it should grab the attention of potential employers. Use some keywords related to the area of work you are applying to, e.g.: “Social Media Manager looking for new creative opportunities”.

Write a summary:

Your summary should be brief and well-written, concise, and informative. Don't fall into the trap of many LinkedIn users who just copy and paste their CVs. This is the right space to talk about what you have achieved, what you have done and what you have learnt in each of your previous positions, adding interesting details. Describe your story, also adding external elements such as photos, videos, newspaper articles or presentations that will allow you to show in practice what you are capable of.

List your work experience:

Since you have just finished your studies, check out the “education” section. If you do not have any work experience yet, or if you have very little, you should take advantage of this section. You can enter school projects, competitions, interesting courses you have taken or extracurricular activities. As in the 'experience' section, this can also be enriched by adding photos, videos, or articles. If you have any, also add volunteer experiences, especially if these are things you particularly care about and can enhance your professional image.

Education:

Include your education history, starting with your most recent qualification.  List the name of the school, qualification achieved, field of study, and graduation date. If you have any relevant certificates or awards, be sure to list them in your profile.

Connect with others:

LinkedIn is a networking platform, so connect with others in your industry. This can help you build your professional network and potentially find job opportunities.  LinkedIn offers you various features that can help you stay up-todate with your industry and engage with other professionals. For example, you can join groups, share articles and posts, and participate in discussions.

remember*your profile tells your story, who you are, what you have done and what you want to do in the future. It must be updated and improved on an ongoing basis! LinkedIn gives you the opportunity to constantly connect with new opportunities and new people.

How To Use Social Media Efficiently By Taking the Positives Social Media Offers?

Everyone uses social media and the internet in their daily lives. It got to the point where people overuse them for unnecessary reasons and that leads to waste of time and other negative effects depending on how long you use it and how. Getting involved on the internet by texting people, commenting, posting, etc... . Those are mostly why social media was made and meant to be used for and many people expanded the purpose of social media and that can be in good way or bad. With these guildlines you can at least be aware of the negatives and the positives since you should be responsible for yourself.

Define Your Goals:

Before using social media, have a reason to do so. Many open their phones and scroll through the internet out of boredom and that leads to wasting your time. You can have goals like texting your friends, checking news, watching a video, searching for a certain thing.

Optimize Your Profile:

Your profile is the first thing that people might look at when they search for you or when random people see. Your profile must have simple general information about you, no need for extra details and it's better to not lie in your profile, just do not write it down better than lying.

Share Valuble Content:

Many people share things in social media so friends can see but forget random people can also see it. Post valuable stuff like posting things to remember later, big achievements you made and are proud of and want to share, and always remember that what you share represents you.

-Engage with people:

Engaging with people does not always mean only friends, it's better to let your opinion be shared and have a voice between people. You can do that by commenting on posts and videos, liking, reporting posts/videos/comments, sharing interesting photos/videos on your platform.

-Follow the right people:

The internet is an open space for all kinds of people. You can find bad and good people. How do you know if a person is the right person to follow? It is simple, if the person is good at something you like and you can learn from them then that is a good sign to follow them. If the person is positive and makes you enjoy watching them then that is a good sign.

NOTE*Now that you know these 5 important steps, hopefully they can help you and teach you something you did not know. Also, some advice to not make your life revolve around the internet by believing random people because of their popularity. There is always bad in goodness. Popularity or followers count does not make a person credible. Always remember to take what is positive on the internet and avoid what is negative.

what are the dark sides of amazon?

A few months ago, I needed a new calculator because I recently moved to a new school that is in London and I didn’t find it anywherebutamazon.Amazonis incredibly convening service Amazon is one of the biggest online companies in the world. It contains many different products, and it has fast delivery services that reach customers around the world. Amazon started by selling books, after 3 years Amazon extended beyond books to include music CDs, and by the followingyearithadaddedmore product categories, such as toys, electronics, and tools. Does amazonhaveadarkside?

What are the negative impacts on amazon for customers?

Amazon has many positive impacts but what about the negative impacts (The dark side)? one of the negative impacts is counterfeit products. Amazon allows the private individuals sellers to sell products on amazon, this helps to increase the choices but also led to an increase in the low-quality products that can pose risks to customers who purchase these products. Also, the data privacy concerns, when customer’s order from amazon, they should write some of the personal information while the company claims to take data privacy seriously there have been concerns raised about how amazon uses and protects customer data from cyber threats. One of the most important issues is the poor treatment of workers at amazon! I know this is shocking as amazon has faced some criticism for its treatment of warehouse workers including reports of low wages, long hours, and very poor working conditions that raise concerns about worker safety.

18

#help_ the _people_ who _are_ suffering_ from _amazon:

Amazon has many good impacts, but we should consider the dark sides as we can ignore some of them because they are simple but here are serious concerns regarding human rights and dignity, such as worker treatment, we should pay attention and consider that there are many people who are suffering at amazon , how would you feel if you worked at amazon? and they give you small amount of money while they treated you poorly? so we should take action to hold amazon accountable and create a Hashtag for the people who are suffering to help them.

What can we learn?

Amazon has many good things and many negative things we should consider both the positive and negative aspects and we should not overlook any aspects because everything is important. I think that we should consider cases related to human rights more than anything as this is very important case because all of us are humans and we should advocate for each other’s rights, so I hope that everyone considers if there are any human right issues whenever they interact with any company or product.

Why is the popularity of Facebook declining?

In modern society, we are using social app which makes our life more convenient. There are varieties of apps which keep changing.

Now, the most popular social app is Facebook, which has not been changing in the past 10 years. In 2012, there were 1 billion active users, ( Number of active users at Facebook over the years (yahoo.com) ) and even now there are 2.9 billion active users which is longer than any other social app. ( Biggest social media platforms 2023 | Statista )

Do we really use Facebook?

( Teens, Social Media and Technology 2 022 | Pew Research Center)

However, I have not often heard that people especially younger generation are using this app frequently. It seems like younger people, including me are using app such as Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok etc. In fact, I asked some of my fellow students which app they use the most and found that Youtube, Snapchat, Instagram and other communication app are used the most.

←According to a 2021 report by Pew research Centre, 71% of 18-29 years old in United states were using Facebook in 2014 but the user had dropped to

No.1 app

So, why does Facebook have the largest number of users even though they are not common nowadays?

This is because most users of Facebook are in older age group and in the developing countries.

Why is it just younger people?

Because Facebook faces competition from other social media app such as Snapchat, Instagram etc. In my opinion some people feel that traditional Facebook is inferior to these apps because modern apps are more attractive visually such as design and functions. Also, some people have been using Facebook for a long time and tired of it and they prefer something new. Thus, since younger people tend to prefer newer and trendier apps, they are moving away from Facebook gradually.

Any problems?

One of the problems for declining Facebook is that different group of people use different apps depending on their individual needs. Consequently, it may be difficult to keep in touch with friends and family in the same app and maintain relationship.

In short, from other sources and survey, we can say that there are some problems for declining Facebook, but isn’t it natural that apps which people seek the most is changing as time goes? It seems that this fact cannot be helped. It appears that this is an inevitable reality.

How does social media affect our music and musicians? How does social media affect our music and musicians?

Recently, social media has been an essential part of our life. More than 84% of the population are active media audience in the United Kingdom, and this percentage increases up to 91% for teenagers. Given that there are 4.76 billion social media users in the world, the impact that these social media and other services on the Internet have on industries must be huge - and music industry is not the exception.

Music subscription system and musicians

In past times, people usually bought a physical record to listen to music at home. Due to the emergence of social media and new technologies, this trend changed to online system of music subscription, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Music. This shift boosted the audience’s satisfaction and convenience, as well as the ease that songs could be spread among the listeners. Having said that, the change also had some harmful influences on the industry.

Then, let’s explore how the subscription system works. In major music subscription services, something called Proratasystemofroyaltydistributionis used. In this system, all the subscription fees of listeners go to a single pot, and then distributed to the creators. The percentage that the creators are paid is proportional to the number of

However, because the musicians with highest number of streams gains larger proportion, it is said that 1% of the top creators receive 90% of the royalty collected. Also, unlike the music industry in physical-record period, not all the listener’s subscription fee and royalty go to the creators that the person has listened to. This means, the industry has become less fair in opportunities and more competitive than ever before.

Impact on music itself

Then, what do artists do nowadays, to increase their earnings in this harsh competition?

In the pro rata system, the closest way to success is to increase the number of streams. So, what they usually do is to compose songs that are shorter and in more engaging structures.

When the song is shorter, the audience will be able to listen to the song for greater number of times in the same time duration. For example, in 30 minutes, if the song is 5 minutes long, 6 times is the maximum repeats, whereas if the song is only 3 minutes long, the audience will be able to repeat the song for 10 times. On the other hand, the trick with increasing the number of streams by changing the musical structures is a bit more complicated. And here, social media comes in again.

These days, Instagram and TikTok are one of the most popular social media among the young generation. Then, could you think of the feature that these two social media have in common? – Yes, the short-video sharing services (TikTok itself, and Instagram reels). Due to the breakthrough of these short videos, songs that people want to use for their short videos are now compositions with the most influences.

Not only directly, but this breakthrough has also affected the structure of music indirectly as well. On average, these short videos are 24 to 31 seconds. This shortened the attention span of teenagers a lot, and most people are now not patient enough to wait until the climax of the song comes. It is scary, isn’t it? So, the diagram below is the simplified change of the trend in musical structures:

Traditional structure of a song used to be: Intro Verse phrase Bridge phrase Climax phrase … ▶ ▶ ▶

Many popular songs nowadays are in the structure of: Climax phrase Intro Verse phrase Bridge phrase Climax phrase … ▶ ▶ ▶ ▶

Everything with a huge influence on people affect things both positively and negatively. There might be unethical laboring in the background of fast fashions. Airplanes are convenient transportation, but it is very harmful for the environment. What we see is not the full picture. We must not forget about the scenes behind the curtain. Do not only passively listen to the music. Start calling those music streaming services out. Start commenting on YouTube and sharing to your friends. Your small supports add up, and it will be a huge cheer for your favorite creator.

How to get the best out of ChatGPT and yourself

At this point there is no denying it. ChatGPT is taking the world by storm! ChatGPT, which calls itself an AI language model, can be used for a lot of purposes. You name it and ChatGPT can do it. Essentially it is a search engine, but it can be used for way more than just quickly answering your questions. ChatGPT is capable of writing complete essays. This is where it becomes of interest for students like you and me. You put your thesis statement in ChatGPT and voila! In a matter of seconds, you have a nearly perfect essay. ChatGPT has proven to be handy for the very lazy students amongst us however, instead of abusing the AI by letting it do all the work for you there are much better things to do with it. With these guidelines you will soon learn how to write essays, all by yourself, like never before.

1. Let ChatGPT generate some broad and general ideas.

We’ve all been there at some point. You sat down at your desk, all ready to start working on that one essay you have been postponing all the time. You are finally ready to start with it, but the ideas just won’t come to mind. You have absolutely no clue where to start. Your mind is completely blank and this is where ChatGPT comes in. You can put your thesis statement or essay prompt into the search bar and then the next step is to ask the AI to come up with some general and broad ideas for the topic. This can be a great way of picking up inspiration and essentially you are using the AI to kickstart your essay writing. Be careful though! You don’t want to just copy what ChatGPT has given to you because this would be plagiarism. .

2. Let ChatGPT impersonate one of your sources.

This might be one of the most ingenious things ChatGPT can do. This especially comes in handy for subjects like history, economics and biology. Let’s say you are writing an essay about the ‘evolution of species for Biology. You want a great source to base your research on.

What better source can there be then Charles Darwin, the founding father of evolution himself? You can let ChatGPT tell stories or explain theories in the narrative of Charles Darwin. In that way you can essentially learn from the master himself! If you want to take it even further, you can even let ChatGPT impersonate Charles Darwin.

The Language model will travel back in time and take a dive in the mind of Charles Darwin. Ultimately, by letting the AI impersonate others, preferably knowledgeable and renown individuals, it can help you to understand complicated concepts and theories better.

4. Debate with ChatGPT to test your arguments and points.

Did you ever hand in one of your essays thinking that it was a genius irrefutable piece of writing, but then you got your mark back and it turned out to be awful? Well, you are not the only one! However, with this simple trick this will never ever happen again. You can ask ChatGPT to debate or refute the arguments that you have made. This is one of the most important things to keep in mind when using ChatGPT for your schoolwork. With the arrival of ChatGPT arised a great problem for schools all over the world. Students could now create an excellent and outstanding essay in a matter of seconds. There was almost no way for schools to find out since students could even make the AI write how they would do themselves.

3. Avoid direct copying rather use quotations and paraphrasing.

The AI can either do this for your complete essay in a general sense, but you could also ask it to go in depth and to review your arguments like your teacher would. By doing so you are one step ahead of your teacher. Once ChatGPT has refuted your arguments you can debate with it. By challenging what the AI is saying you can learn a lot, and this is a great way of revising for your subjects.

Even though copying ChatGPT might seem like the solution to your homework that has been piling up for weeks it is in fact not! Teachers give homework to you, not because they hate you or because they want to annoy you, they want to help you. Taking your homework seriously is essential for your development and academic progress. Therefore, instead of copying ChatGPT, paraphrase it or use quotations. This makes clear to the teacher that it is not writing of your own, but from another source. Also make sure to credit ChatGPT by using footnotes or a resource list at the end of your essay. You can use as much information from ChatGPT and even copy it as long as you quote it and credit the AI.

5. Let ChatGPT make suggestions for grammar, vocabulary and even sentence structure.

As you get older, and you move up in the education system you will notice one thing. Teacher become more and more strict on your grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Your essay might contain excellent and profound arguments however if they are worded incorrectly you will be marked down, potentially by a lot. In order to prevent this you can ask ChatGPT to essentially proofread your essay. You can keep it simple and just let it check for grammar and spelling, but you can take it as far as you want. You could ask it to give feedback and suggestions on your sentence structure and if you want to take it even further you can ask it to replace some parts of your essay with more sophisticated language.

This is where it becomes tricky. You are asking ChatGPT to replace parts of your essay with its own words and the line between plagiarism and own writing becomes very thin here. Nevertheless, you can use this tool to learn about how to improve on your writing. One important thing to keep in mind is that you should not directly copy the feedback or suggestions that ChatGPT is giving you. Instead, read the feedback and try to come up with your own ideas and improvements. Now that you have read those guidelines, you will be able to write like never before. Go ahead and take it to the test. Open ChatGPT and try it out so you will already be prepared for your next school assignment. Two important things to keep in mind however.

Do never ever copy directly from ChatGPT without making clear that you did so. Software has already been written that can pick your essay out for plagiarism. Secondly, remember that ChatGPT is not always 100% correct. It is still in development and with every update that is being released it will become more and more precise, but always be cautious when using the AI. That’s about it for now! Go ahead and dive into ChatGPT and engulf yourself in its possibilities.

How to avoid getting into trouble in online shopping?

Imagine you are browsing a variety of products while online shopping. You see attractive clothes, shoes, pants, and you may also see the latest model of smartphone, laptop, video games, etc. Then, you find shoes which you have been seeking for a long time, and immediately you purchase it. Online shopping is convenient as you can see various goods and you can easily purchase them- but are you sure that you won’t get in trouble through it?

Danger of utilizing online shopping

Online shopping is non-face-to-face, and they are remote trading. Therefore, there are several risk factors that exist in online shopping. Firstly, people might become the victim of fraud. They might pay more than the necessary amount of money for the goods. Secondly, the commodities might not be delivered. Finally, the stuff can be non-returnable. If products are delivered, and they are damaged or differ from what people expected, a return system is necessary to avoid wasting money.

Do you know how to evaluate the website?

1. Shop for companies rather than individuals.

Basically, companies are more reliable than individuals. This is because while their companies desire consumers to use their website repeatedly, individuals don’t care much about it. Companies offer a large number of products, so their profits are largely affected by the number of customers they attract. As a result, their services for the customers tend to be nice. On the other hand, individuals only sell one or two goods, so the number of consumers doesn’t influence their profits. Consequently, their services are likely to be worse than companies.

Check whether you can return the stuff.

As you can only see images of products, sometimes you won’t be satisfied when they are delivered, and you see them. Furthermore, products might be damaged while they are delivered. You need to be sure that they are returnable so that you can cope when you encounter with problems. Also, you should check the terms of your return so that you can gain what you desire.

3. Avoid advance payment.

When you use social media, you may be involved in fraud. To keep away from it, make sure that your website doesn’t require advance payment. If the site requires payment at first, it is likely to be fraudulent. Even if you click the purchase button by mistake, your money is paid. Therefore, keep away from the advance payment website, even looking at the image of goods on the website.

While using online shopping is convenient and it helps your life, it also poses certain risks if you are not cautious. Using these tips to make sure that you use a suitable website and use online shopping meaningfully.

Living an easier life

Could we be sacrificing our mental health on social media? It’s an addiction that drains out the user. Fear of missing out, (FoMO) is a common concept that social media introduced.  It is the frequent visits to social media sites in fear of missing out on social media. Furthermore, Self-image issueand the way social media has put bounders to beauty. Nevertheless, Social media has altered the way we communicate and connect with one another, and it's challenging to imagine living without it. According to scientific study “59% of the whole world uses social media, for an average of two and a half hours per day”. Nowadays, the world revolves around it. Social media has even provided jobs and has made our lives easier on many scales. It would be illogical to state a comment such as social media is a destructive form of platform.

Recently social media was able to replace the traditional TVs. Rarely do we still open the TV to be informed on news or any event.  Furthermore, social media has allowed individuals to reach a larger audience and share their ideas and views. Unlike news shows on television, which can be quite biased, social media inspires people to rise up for themselves, express their opinions, and share their ideas. Social media allows sharing news without political censorship in countries that is under tyranny. Which channels do not provide. Furthermore, it gives everyone almost the same opportunity to be famous, share their thoughts and visions. And with-it influencers are born.

Social media proved to be an effective platform in big crisis. Without social media the world wouldn’t have known the details shared by the survivors of Turkey and Syria’s earthquake, and news wouldn’t have travelled in the same speed. Many victims of the earthquake communicated from underneath the rubbles with the outside world using social media which helped locate and rescue them. Many survivors also blogged their experience or sent a message to their family or displayed a status which provided evidence of their survival. Furthermore, associations were able to reach for larger audiences and advertise for their cause through social media, which resulted in large donations. It’s an extension which allowed organization to raise funds and direct people on how they can donate cloth or blankets. Even awareness videos spread faster through social media instructing people how to behave if an earthquake occurred.

Needless to say, social media opened to us doors to discuss sensitive topics such as death. Death, without a question, has become an important aspect of the evolution of social media. It has created a unique platform for advertising funeral. Notifying friends of someone's death used to require visits or extensive phone calls. Likewise, deaths were as well announced in newspapers in the obituaries. However, the procedure has become much simpler and more efficient in recent years. As an example, a close friend of mine recently shared the news of someone's death on Instagram. Rather than contacting each individual, a few clicks were all that was required, and condolences were easily exchanged.

In this era, it is hard to state that “social media is purely negative” or ”stay away!” The pros concours the cons. Social media allows us to live an easier life than the generation before us.
