“AI can be beneficial to humanity”: What is the positive side of using artificial intelligence to

Nowadays, AI generative images are one of the main sources of creating misinformation. But nothing is black and white, so a future where AI is considered as one of the best methods to visually represent reliable images is a possibility.

With thousands of shares, comments, the image of a newly discovered exotic landscape went viral on the internet. If the extremely vibrant green colours did not reveal the truth, then after a “blooming” good time looking at the flowers, its petals should have given it away. AI was necessary to make that image and many others, similar to that. Without AI tools like Dall-E, designers who want to create a sci-fi like world for a movie would have to spend long hours with sketching. But, with AI the designers’ idea for the film’s location can be recognized right away by studios. For this reason, the creative team can make a more realistic setting to which the audience can connect emotionally. “2023 has been an incredible year of innovation. We’re inspired to see how customers and developers are already leveraging AI to do things they couldn’t before. I’m excited for the opportunities it will create in 2024.” Said Thomas Kurian, CEO at Google Cloud, in 2023.

Generative AI in the recent years has become easily accessible to anyone who has connection to the internet. This led to many innovative ideas but also to difficult moments for governments. AI has radically changed the way we search for information, directing technology to an unknown path. AI tools helped designers to generate ideas in no time. Artists now can get prototype visuals of the final product with ease. Therefore, they only need to spend time on revising smaller imperfections in the final masterpiece.

Since 2022, AI tools, like ChatGPT and Dall-E have become even more popular for people to complete their everyday tasks with. This ultimately led to many issues in terms of spreading untrue, harmful information. People still use these tools recklessly which makes it harder for governments to regulate them. Researchers also started to express their concerns on the oncoming flood of generated media. “By far, the greatest danger of Artificial Intelligence is that people conclude too early that they understand it.” Said Eliezer Yudkowsky, AI researcher, at Machine Intelligence Research Institute. MPs also showed their concern about continuously spreading misinformation, they told the government to use TikTok as a way to combat misleading news. This is one way to limit the negative impact of AI. If the government decides to implement the strategy proposed by MPs, the negative side of AI can be mitigated to some extent.

Others have a more positive opinion about AI generative images. “Responsible AI is not just about liability — it's about ensuring what you are building is enabling human flourishing.” Said, Rumman Chowdhury, CEO at Parity AI, in 2023. Chowdhury clearly believes in the potential of AI and that it can be one of the most useful tools. Jensen Huang, CEO at NVIDIA, also shares similar ideas, and that the positives can overweigh the negative impacts of AI generative images, “AI will be the most transformative technology of the 21st century. It will affect every industry and aspect of our lives.”

AI visibly has two diametrically opposed sides. But, if governments could find a way to mitigate the negative side mentioned above, AI generated images could boost innovation and flourish. Improvements in movies, digital artworks, marketing etc… would only be some of the many benefits if the anti-AI users are exploited. Overall, only a starting point is needed to be on the right track.

Part of me was focused on my English lesson, and the other part was lost in this interesting news I have seen online. It was about ways for teachers to curate the news t o students . For that reason, I was wondering if my classmates would discuss it. Also give their opinion on it and share their different perspectives, then we would have a better understanding of what is going on in this world.

Therefore, I’ve come up with this idea of having the teachers curate the news to students in class. Because the news is very important to catch up with, to know your world’s future, what’s going to happen next, and what you can do for the world.

By curating the news for students, teachers will firstly educate them on what’s going on around the world. secondly, it helps the students to be open minded and share their thoughts and perspectives. Lastly, it would help them to enhance their media literacy skills and will

To make sure that students well informed about what’s happening in the world the teachers should curate the news to students and make it part of the curriculum. As we seen in a survey conducted by teacher tapp that 80% of the secondary English teachers wants to add more diverse text in the curriculum and 59% of the secondary English teachers wants to have more modern texts in the curriculum.

For our age group (16 and above) there should not be any limitations on sensitive news to be presented in class because it’s important for us to be aware of what’s going on in the world. That said, teachers should not have any problems finding news to curate for the class.

Although curating news in class might be very beneficial for students, we must not forget its negatives on the class. However, I really think that teachers should curate the news to the students to expand their critical thinking.

From human surgeon to robotic surgeon: The advantages and disadvantages

As technology has developed throughout the decades, there have been effects on the medical field. In the past, medicine was developed through empirical observation and trial and error, all done by humans. However, as time passed and people started to invent advanced AI, it was introduced into the medical field, such as in surgery. On one hand, the introduction of AI was a progression for the medical world and brought advantages to both patients and workers. On the other hand, AI replacing humans has introduced some risks.

Advantages of medical technology

Precision and efficiency: As the development of technology grows, there are some advanced tools and technologies that allows the treatment to be done precise and accurately. Technology used in surgery has helped to navigate and support the surgeons, leading to a result with reducing the operation time. Moreover, it includes precision diagnostic technology which could enables early detection of diseases, allowing for timely and appropriate treatment.

Research faster: During an operation, surgeons always have to make decisions, sometimes facing emergency situations where they need to quickly identify the problem. However, in these critical moments, decisionmaking may be delayed, which can lead to a critical condition for the patient. On the other hand, technology, which does not have emotions, can process information quickly. With access to vast amounts of data, it can come up with solutions and solve the problem efficiently.

Faster recovery: Using technology during surgery can speed up a patient's recovery. Surgeons can plan and perform treatments with extreme accuracy, ensuring that only the necessary areas are impacted, which helps shorten recovery times. Advanced imaging methods are also part of the technology used in operations. Additionally, high-precision tools can reduce surgical complications, such as infections, excessive bleeding, or unintended damage to healthy tissues, contributing to a smoother recovery.

Disadvantages of medical technology

Cost: Purchasing advanced technologies for surgery comes with a high cost. As the prices are expensive, this can lead to higher healthcare costs for both patients and healthcare systems. Additionally, maintenance for the technology will be necessary to keep it functional and secure, which can also be substantial.

Error: Since technologies have complex systems, they often require extensive training for surgeons to get used to them. Moreover, although technologies are considered accurate, they are not 100% reliable. Errors may occur during operations, leading to incorrect diagnoses, treatment errors, or compromised patient safety. This suggests that relying entirely on technology will not guarantee a perfect operation.

Depersonalization of Care: As technology takes over healthcare and operations, there will be less connection between doctors and their patients. Technology will only handle necessary interactions since it cannot communicate emotionally. In contrast, humans are able to communicate with empathy and understand how a patient is feeling, which is important for the patient's recovery and decision-making process.

In conclusion, technology has helped both patients and doctors in a variety of ways as it has been increasingly introduced and employed in the medical field. However, the use of technology is not always beneficial and can sometimes result in issues that pose risks. From this, we can deduce that there are situations in the medical field where employing technology may not be the best option.

Why don’t teachers realize the benefits of reading physical newspapers!?

Suzuki in London

m Ipsum dolor sit

Young people these days are very busy to study and work, so they want to use the Internet rather than paper-based mediums to save their time. Otherwise, they can get any information from social media such as Instagram and X, and these tools contain aspects of entertainment, so they can enjoy videos while collecting information. I suggest that teachers should provide physical newspapers for students in the class to give them an opportunity to read newspapers.

When students want to gain correct information, they should not use the resources from social media, because such resources have incorrect ones. In addition, social media represents only same topic that you are all ears. For example, if you watch a few K-pop videos on YouTube, it will successively show a lot of such videos as “recommendation” This is a function of social medial and having watched content, the information that relate to what you like will be shown.

On the other hand, newspapers have much information such as world conditions, financial, businesses, and politics and even they are not interested in these topics, so they can know many things. Furthermore, there are no biased opinions on the newspapers, because these are very objective and formal text types, so news report companies calibrate them before they are published. Therefore, reading newspaper is a good way for students to expand individual knowledge and widens their outlook.

I recommend physical-based newspapers, because teenagers nowadays always look at the screens of phones, laptops, and tablets, so this is not good for their eyes’ health. Moreover, physical papers allow readers to be more attractive and engaged to the stories they contain, as they include fewer distractions compared to digital things.

In conclusion, a teacher should think students’ future deeply and their health are protected by a teacher and also their knowledge is expanded by it. if a teacher does not educate them correctly, they will have egg on their face in the future. Thus, teachers should provide an opportunity to read physical newspapers.

Post-truth; Word of the Year 2016. It’s still stealing the spotlight in 2024!

Shiho

Is the earth flat? The answer is yes, for a creator of a TikTok video I’ve seen recently. Did the holocaust actually happen? The answer is no, for yet another TikTok creator. Where has the truth gone? These conspiracy theories are not only denial of facts but also come from people’s mentality which prioritises emotions. The word posttruth “refers to something that denotes circumstances in which objective facts are not as influential, in terms of forming public opinion, as an appeal to personal emotions and beliefs” and was selected a word of the year in 2016 according to Oxford Dictionaries. Loads of surprising things happened in 2016; the EU referendum in the United Kingdom and the presidential election in the United States etc. To be honest, no wonder why post-truth became the word of 2016. This post-truth era definitely influences the formation of conspiracy theories. Unfortunately, having passed 2016 and even 2020, the idea of post-truth was still relevant in 2023. We are witnessing the ongoing post-truth era now. The Internet makes everything possible.

In today’s society, social media is becoming a primary and dominant source of information for young people. (It is an utter satire of writing this sentence and being published in a magazine.) This means that they need to recognise which information is valid and which is not considering the fact that there are considerably higher rates of false information on the internet. Although youth are not the only generation who rely on the internet as a source of internet, older generations know the internet cannot be completely trusted, which might come from the fact that the internet was introduced when they already experienced puberty. In a sense, the internet is still alien to them. On the other hand, digital natives grow with the development of the internet and do not know the world before the internet. Therefore, information on the internet looks trustworthy in the eyes of young people since they have been believing in it. Additionally, because of simple age gaps between youth and non-youth, there are huge differences in pre-information they each have before any googling. This implies that young people have less measurement in general scenes. Like nidifugous birds which imprint on the first objects they’ve seen and follow them around, young people who’ve not been exposed to much information before, are likely to blindly believe the first information they are offered regardless of whether it is correct or not.

In today’s post-truth era, gaining proper information is becoming more difficult. This circumstance would result in not only difficulty in gaining sources but also amplifying cognitive bias. Due to algorithms, people see only content that the people can resonate with on “For Your Page”. Therefore, new education programmes are needed as soon as possible. This will include lessons on how to see things from multiple perspectives to prevent semantic manipulation. This would give students opportunities for discussion with diverse beliefs. This might be uncomfortable but inevitable to avoid information distortion. Current situations surrounding us sometimes look like a world written by George Orwell, but, we can change the future by our attitude.

The Benefits and Risks of AI: ChatGPT's Impact on

Productivity and Academic Integrity

In todays, modern society, AI has been advancingly developing and playing a huge role. Since the introduction of Chat GPT in November of 2022, it has become a tool not only for professionals but also for everyday individuals. However, while there are benefits of having AI as an everyday usage such as increasing the productivity of everyday tasks, there are also disadvantages. One of the problems emerging from the debut of Chat GPT are plagiarism and misconduct usage in academic circumstances. This is due to ChatGPT's ability to generate high-quality texts without requiring intricate actions. Due to this, the popularity among students has increased, causing a significant challenge in detection among the teachers. This problem not only has affected the teachers, but it also can lead to unintentional plagiarism since the text produced by ChatGPT can be taken from content created by others. In conclusion, while AI holds immense potential for shaping the future of society, it is essential to take an approach with caution as it can lead to misuse. However, if used, properly by acknowledging the potential risks and implementing appropriate rules and morals, we can clearly say that AI could be powerful teammate that could lead us to better and more productive society.

Deepfakes

Shintaro Suzuki

In 2024, there are many different internet issues in the world, and one of the most important is deepfakes. This is crucial because it is closely related to digital natives. To protect less techsavvy individuals from being deceived, we need to find out whether digital content is faked or genuine. Without this knowledge, we won't be able to discern the truth.

For example, Donald Trump supporters have been creating and sharing Al-generated fake images of Black voters to encourage African Americans to vote Republican. This illustrates how some people try to take advantage of those who lack knowledge. In this way, it becomes clear that deepfakes target less techsavvy individuals.

If the world wants to stop deepfakes, people need to learn and use the internet more effectively. I believe digital natives should create an online police force. We also need to proactively become administrators af

online blog bulletin boards to eliminate deepfakes before those with weaker internet skills are fooled. This way, people can use the internet more comfortably and won't be afraid to use it.

Another measure is to prioritize information from state-run intelligence agencies, in addition to online articles, and use that as the basis for determining whether something is fake. If an unofficial person warns them, people might not take their warnings seriously. Furthermore, if it was a digital native like an older individual, they might not listen at all and could be taken in by the deepfakes.

I believe that deepfakes are one of the most troubling issues today, and digital natives should address this as soon as possible.

This version should be clearer, more respectful, and grammatically accurate.

The Impact of AI-Generated Images: How to Avoid Falling for Fakes

In today's digital age , where social media is flooded with content every second. I have seen many fake news showing an AI image spread out by many people on social media. As digital natives should be aware of fake news and fake images, and do not share such type of news . I will give my opinion on this topic, and some advice that can be helpful for any digital native to avoid this to happen. An AI-generated image is a photo that is created by AI. So that mean it's not a real photo.

Some people use AI images for creating art or entertainment, but others create fake images related to political events in a country, which can make the news seem fake or unclear. These images are often spread as real, even if the person who posted them stated that they were AI-generated.. Also to make people into having a specific opinion on topic based on what they want people to think.

As digital natives, it is important to navigate this landscape responsibly. Here are some tips to help you do so:

• Always check the source of an image before sharing it. Ensuring the credibility of the source can prevent the spread of misinformation.

• Share your knowledge with friends, family, and followers. The more people are aware of the potential for AI-generated misinformation, the less likely they are to fall victim to it.

• If an image seems too shocking or unbelievable, take a moment to question it. It’s always worth verifying before accepting it as true.

• generated image can be used in very useful things such as, they help create models of buildings, allowing designers to explore different concepts and refine structures, which can lead to better planning and development. Additionally these images can also be used in video games to create real environment World and an not expected experience and adventure , also different characters for gaming users . By using AI-generated images in these positive ways, we can drive technological advancements and improve different aspects of life and society.

By staying informed and promoting responsible behavior, digital native can play a significant role in reducing the spread of fake news and ensuring that AI-generated ,this will be help to make our online world a safer and more welcoming place for everyone also this can be while using AI creating image be and mindful to use it in positive good and helpful way.

AI may take human jobs

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has been advancing rapidly, and its impact is spreading across a variety of industries. While this progress brings many anxiety, there is also a growing concern almost people that AI will take away human jobs. This article shows how AI will affect human employment and its advantages and disadvantages.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) is having big impact in our lives and businesses, especially in the workplace environment, where it is rapidly evolving. AI has resulted in the automation and efficiency of the workforce, with AI-powered robots performing assembly and quality control in the manufacturing industry, and production lines that require no human intervention. In the service industry, AI chatbots are also being used in 24 different industries. In the service industry, AI chatbots are also responding 24 hours a day, providing basic inquiries and support, thereby speeding customer response and reducing costs. In the financial industry, AI is also being used to analyze market data and perform trading and risk management to anable faster and more accurate trading than human traders, as well as to assess credit risk and detect fraud. This is making people's work more efficiency and easier. From this, there is an advantage.

However, there are also ethical issues at the same time. In service industry, people might lose Job. These days AI can pretend like humans. They are closer and closer. That is how there is employment will come up. People can cooperate with AI, but soon or later, AI will replace almost Jobs that people has been doing it. Because Already, especially physical labor, is beginning to lose jobs. For example, simple factory work is already being done by robots. Some people say AI can not take jobs from us. Conversely, some scientists say people should have the ability to control AI. Do you have the ability to keep up with AI? It is time for everyone to start preparing.
