his business hotel with a catchy name of Wall Street was built recently - in 2016, but in such a short time, it managed to win the hearts of many of its visitors and enter the top three hotels in Odessa. It is located in the heart of the city's business area, from where you can reach the main street and the most famous historical sights. The hotel itself is designed in a neoclassical style and has four stars of honor. The interior recreates the atmosphere of New York's luxury hotels of the 1920s: marbling, leather armchairs, and many elements made of precious wood.

jimon, this interview concerns both your film career as your social engagement. Before we start with the glamour of Hollywood, tell us about your social engagement. It’s important to stay connect with your fanbase and the public. Even more so now. My personal social engagement – now more than ever – becomes more relevant due to the social disparity caused by the pandemic. I am actively utilizing my philanthropic endeavors as it ties into the political climates of the world.

How important the image and influence projected in movies is? What with portraying minorities? Is the movie industry just entertainment, or must it have also a social purpose?

Образы и влияние, проецируемые в фильмах, очень важны. Особенно при изображении меньшинств. Очень важно, чтобы фильмы правдиво показывали и представляли меньшинства и их соответствующую культуру. Хоть кино и является превосходным развлечением, я верю, что киноиндустрия также очень трансцендентна. The images and influence(s) projected in movies is very important. Especially when portraying minorities. It’s very important that movies accurately depict and represent minorities and their respective cultures. While movies provide great entertainment, I do believe the movie industry to also be very transcendent. Movies can be quite inspirational and impactful; oftentimes, those stories leave with you long after the movie is over.

Films definitely play a large role in society. For me, it’s imperative, I portray characters that have a great amount of integrity because we are so poorly narrated around the world.

Djimon, your acting is impressive. You make the viewer believe you from the first line, from the first frame. Tell me, have you studied acting for a long time? Who was your mentor at the very beginning of your acting career?

I began studying acting in 1989, when I first arrived in California. My greatest inspiration came from meeting Harry Mastro George, who was one of my acting teachers.

Why did you decide to attempt your career in the cinema? If not acting, what profession would you prefer? Or this is what you are and your love for moviemaking?

Early on as a child, it was the first thing that attracted me as a career choice. It allowed me to escape my own self, and I saw an opportunity to be many things without being limited.

Это призвание пришло ко мне. Моя любовь к нарративу и попытки переписать ошибки - это то, в чем я никогда не сомневался. Это то, кем я являюсь, и то, что люблю делать.

It is the vocation that came to me. My love for storytelling and attempting to rewrite the wrongs is something that I’ve never second-guessed. This is who I am and what I love doing.

Your filmography is very extensive. Your track record includes both major and minor roles. And there are more than 30 of them! Tell us how you prepare for filming, get used to the role?

Один из наиболее важных элементов изучения новой роли - отказ от излишнего анализа истории и самой роли. Я думаю, что чрезмерный анализ сюжета и персонажа может привести к чрезмерному осуждению, а осуждение роли допускать ни в коем случае нельзя. Если вы по умолчанию слишком осуждаете себя, в таком случае - вы слишком озабочены восприятием.

One of the most important elements of learning a new role is to stray away from being too over-analytical about the story and the role. I think the danger of over-analyzing the story and the character could lend you to be overly judgmental and, it can’t be judgmental about a role. If you’re too judgmental towards yourself by default, you become too concerned with perception.

Таблоиды пишут, что Вы проснулись знаменитым после релиза картины «Амистад», где Вы снимались бок о бок с Морганом Фриманом и Энтони Хопкинсом. А поставил его сам Стивен Спилберг! Каково было работать с мэтром и легендами?

Tabloids write that you woke up famous after «Amistad», where you starred side by side with Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins. And it was directed by Steven Spielberg himself! How was it to work with the master and the legends?

It was priceless, and up to this day I pinch myself and think, «wow, will I again be amongst such iconic cinematic figures?»

В триллере «Кровавый алмаз» Вашим партнером по съемочной площадке был Леонардо Ди Каприо. Говорят, с ним легко работать, не так ли? Сотрудничество в работе переросло в дружбу?

In the thriller «Blood Diamond», your partner on the set was Leonardo DiCaprio. They say it's easy to work with him, is it? Does partnership in work stay as friendship?

Работать с Леонардо очень легко и весело. Не всегда, но в данном случае мы остаемся друзьями.

It is very easy to work with Leonardo, and fun. Not always, but in the instance, we remain friends.

Безусловно, одним из самых известных фильмов с Вашим участием является «Гладиатор». Скажите, Вы могли предположить изначально, что эту картину ждет такой ошеломительный успех? А почему до сих пор не сняли «Гладиатор 2»: возвращение персонажа домой?

Of course, one of the most famous movies with your participation is «Gladiator». Tell us, could you have assumed initially that this film is bound to have tremendous success? And why isn’t there «Gladiator 2»: the homecoming of your character.

Точно нет! И никто из нас не мог предположить, что он станет таким культовым фильмом, ведущим в своем жанре. (смеется) Все вы, фанаты «Гладиатора», отправляйте в студию петицию о создании сиквела - уже давно пора!

Absolutely not! And none of us could have guessed that this would become such an iconic film leading a genre. (laughs) All you, «Gladiator» fans, send a petition to the studio to do a sequel – it is way overdue!

Безусловно для каждого актера, помимо повсеместного признания и гонораров, важно получить заветный «Оскар». Расскажите о свих номинациях в картине «В Америке» и триллере «Кровавый алмаз». Какие чувства испытывает актер, номинированный на самую престижную кинопремию мира? Конечно, быть номинированным на «Оскар» за эти две картины было волнительно и немного пугающе. И, конечно же, когда вы номинированы, это просто невероятное ощущение, и вас тут же начинают тянуть во все стороны, чтобы провести кампанию за фильм. Когда вы, наконец, добираетесь до «Оскара», вы уже наполнены этим чувством победы, потому что вы уже вложили так много усилий в кампанию.

Of course, for each actor, in addition to widespread recognition and fees, getting the «Oscar» is the number fist aim. Tell us about your nominations for «In America» and the «Blood Diamond». How does the actor who is nominated for the world's most prestigious film award feel? It was a very amazing and thrilling moment in my career to be nominated for these two films, and of course, when you get nominated it is overwhelming, and soon enough, you find yourself being pulled left and right to campaign the film. When you finally get to the «Oscar’s», you already have this feeling of winning because you have put so much work into campaigning.

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic negated millions of projects and plans. Many industries, including cinema, have felt the full impact of its consequences. Tell us how the pandemic affected your activities? How did you survive the lockdown and quarantine?

Мы до сих пор переживаем этот локдаун и карантин. Как вы упомянули, киноиндустрия, как и многие другие, сильно пострадала от COVID-19. Эта пандемия поставила кинематографические проекты на долгую паузу, в том числе и мои собственные фильмы, но, несмотря на это, мы двигаемся вперед, поскольку все мы ждем «новой нормальности».

We are still surviving this lockdown and quarantine. As you mentioned, the cinema industry like many others, took a hit due to the pandemic. This pandemic has placed a lengthy pause on cinematic projects, including my own films, but regardless we are progressing as we are all waiting for the «new normal.»

А сейчас ситуация налаживается? Над какими проектами Вы работаете в данный момент? С точки зрения отрасли, ситуация постепенно улучшается - медленно, но уверенно. В настоящее время я посвящаю большую часть своего времени своей недавно созданной благотворительной организации «Фонд Джимона Хонсу». Однако у меня есть несколько фильмов, ожидающих выхода: «King's Man» и «Тихое место II». Мы слышали о Вашем проекте с Александром Занзером, который известен нашему журналу. Currently, I am dedicating the majority of my time to my newly launched charity, the «Djimon Hounsou Foundation». I do, however, have a few films awaiting to be released, «The King’s Man» and «A Quiet Place II». We heard about your project with Alexander Zanzer known to our financial magazine. Is international activity and fame important, or is Hollywood all that matters? International activity and fame are very important. Without that, Hollywood wouldn’t matter. Many actors, when asked about the best role, say that the best is ahead. But we will still ask this question. Well, Djimon, what role do you consider your best? Which roles do you prefer? I consider my work in «Amistad» and «Blood Diamond» to be my best roles. I prefer to portray characters that have a social impact. Do you, as an actor, have a dream to play a certain character, if imagine that this very movie is just going to be filmed, and the cast is being recruited? На Ваш взгляд, почему из всех запланированных блокбастеров в прокат вышел только фильм «Тенет»? Почему продюсеры «Довода» не побоялись выпустить фильм, а релизы остальных высокобюджетных голливудских картин перенесли на более поздний срок?

Однако это не единственный кинотренд ближайших лет. По моему мнению, в ближайшее время сценаристы будут черпать фактуру не только из истории, но и из народных легенд, преданий и сказок. In other words, cinema is becoming more interesting, richer, and captures more and more aspects of human existence. We are definitely waiting for a lot of new memorable movies. Movies reflect our dreams and nightmares.

А многие полнометражные фильмы делают сериалы вроде «Пиратов Карибского моря» или «Звездных войн». Но у большинства фильмов нет сиквелов, поскольку недосказанность - важная часть искусства, художественный прием, который увеличивает ценность фильма. At the end of 2019, almost 72 % of online cinemas' profits came from subscriptions. Should we expect an increase in this indicator by the end of 2020? It has already grown. We are witnessing the culture of consumption of licensed content consumption. The public realized the benefits of online viewing, high-quality content on relevant topics, and a competitive pricing policy for digital platforms. The pandemic has only reinforced this trend. The audience of online cinemas continues to expand and is unlikely to give up this way of watching movies and TV series. Is it possible that shortly the viewer will give money for a subscription, and not for a ticket to the cinema? The viewer is already doing this because the subscription is cheaper than a ticket. But it does not mean that the person will never go to the cinema again. A visit to the cinema is a social event. The problem here is different: part of the audience often turns to pirated Internet resources, and even to paid ones; especially in East Europe. It turns out that classic cinemas and streaming platforms have one common enemy - pirates. The industry loses billions while users watch stolen content. Besides, online cinemas in some countries are still unprofitable, and their owners declare that «going to the plus» is now secondary for them, and it is much more important to form a wide audience loyal to this form of video content consumption. I suppose that soon the viewer will go to the cinema and at the same time have a subscription to streaming services. Exactly the same way we shop in stores and on the Internet. The same will happen with movies and TV series. Based on your rich experience, can you describe the modern viewer and which he prefers more - TV series or feature films? The viewer always wants to know: what happened next? Everyone is interested in the fate of their favorite heroes. But this desire of the public does not turn TV series and full-length films into competitors. Contrasting them is as meaningless as, for example, novels and short stories. After all, many full meters have television versions, shown on TV a year after the premiere at the cinema. And many full-length films make up film series like «Pirates of the Caribbean» or «Star Wars». But most of the movies don't have sequels since understatement is an important part of art, an artistic device that adds value to the movie. There is hardly any sense in the continuation of many works by directors such as Milos Forman, Quentin Tarantino, Woody Allen, Vasily Shukshin, or TV shows based on their works. However, we see that Tarantino fans often release fanfiction with the sequels of «Pulp Fiction», which again is explained by the modern viewer's natural needs. Personally I am for original movies on the big screen and series on television and streaming. In this way, both genres are adapted to their medium.

That factor was especially strong in the so-called hype IPOs, such as Airbnb, Doordash, Snowflake. WHAT WILL THE OVERSUPPLY OF INITIAL OFFERINGS LEAD TO? The faster the number of deals grows, and the more they «go off» at the beginning of trading, the more the market overheats. Analysts say in one word that the market is overheated. But it is overheated not because investors are stupid, but because there are no alternatives to stocks in the modern financial world. Interest rates are so low that bond yields are not much different from those in the zeroes, especially when adjusted for inflation. And the precious metals market is too small and speculative to compete with stocks. The world is changing very fast, and the working methods of most organizations and their leading experts will soon become obsolete. Today we can see what is “broken”, what we are no longer satisfied with, or what doesn’t give (and won’t) the desired results. But it will be impossible with the lack of special knowledge to predict what will be needed tomorrow, what business models will look like, the business of the future as a whole. At the moment there is a huge amount of information flowing. But, what shall we focus on, what exactly to develop, what to be maximally prepared for, and how to learn it effectively?

По-перше - вчитись! На прикладі питання вищої освіти ми можемо бачити, що більшість людей вважають, що звичні системи не працюють належним чином. Дослідження показують, що половина молодих випускників є непідготовленими до роботи у своїй галузі й не відповідають сучасним запитам ринку праці. Ще складнішим стає питання навчання або перенавчання вже чинних фахівців, особливо менеджерів, навіть власників, надалі назвемо навчання «дорослих». Для розв'язання цього гострого питання активно формуються нові, незвичні системи навчання «дорослих». АНДРАГОГІКА АБО ЯК НАВЧАТИСЯ ДОРОСЛИМ Андрагогіка - це виокремлена наука з побудування систем і методів навчання «дорослих», згідно з її принципами фахівцям, менеджерам належить провідна роль в процесі навчання. Ми розуміємо, що «дорослі» вивчатимуть тільки те, що, на їхню думку є практичним, вони хочуть знати: «Як це допоможе прямо зараз?», «Чи доречно це, і чи відповідає це їх професійним цілям чи цілям їх команд?». Один із принципів навчання «дорослих», це принцип затребуваності результатів навчання практичною діяльністю, тому зараз набирають популярності ментори або, так сказати, освітні куратори й консультанти з розробки освітніх стратегій та аналізу ефективності навчання.

First, we must learn! On the example of higher education, we can see that most people believe that the usual systems don't work properly. Research shows that half of the young graduates are unprepared to work in their field and don't meet modern labor market demands. The issue of training or retraining of existing specialists, especially managers, even owners, becomes even harder, hereinafter referred to as «adult» training. To address this burning issue, new, unusual «adult» training systems are being actively formed. ANDRAGOGY OR HOW TO LEARN AS AN ADULT Andragogy is a separate science of building systems and methods of teaching «adults». According to its principles, specialists, managers have a leading role in the learning process. We understand that «adults» will learn only what they consider practical; they want to know, «How will it help right now?», «Is it appropriate, and does it meet their professional goals or the goals of their teams?». One of the principles of «adult» training is the principle of demand for learning outcomes through practical activities. That's why now mentors or, so to say, educational curators and consultants on developing educational strategies and analyzing the effectiveness of learning, gain popularity. Відзначено, стрімкий розвиток ринку праці вимагає від фахівців безперервного навчання, щоб швидко адаптуватися до змін цього ринку та у бізнесі. Один із принципів андрагогіки це коригування застарілого досвіду та особистісних установок, що перешкоджають освоєнню нових знань. Старий досвід часто вступає в протиріччя з вимогами часу та навіть корпоративними цілями. Якісна освіта «дорослих» надасть довгостроковий вплив на економіку підприємства. Для розуміння того, як реалізувати навчання «дорослих», можуть бути розроблені гнучкі системи навчання, прописані так звані освітні карти, але залишається питання, а що саме вивчати? Нещодавній Світовий економічний форум (СЕФ) в обговоренні теми: «Ким бути у майбутньому», виділив свій зважений, виведений їх аналітикою, список скілів на 2025 рік. Основні з них - це адаптивність, гнучкість мислення, фокусування та рolitical acumen (політична хватка). АДАПТИВНІСТЬ Однією з необхідних навичок та конкурентних переваг у майбутньому буде адаптивність. Вона збільшить шанси на успіх кожного фахівця окремо і компаній в цілому. Ця навичка вимагатиме чіткого розуміння реальності, адаптації нашого мислення під нове, прийняття нестандартних рішень, підходів і негайного впровадження нових способів роботи. Стійкість буде ставати чимось неконкретним, адаптивність отримає вирішальне значення для подолання труднощів, відновлення після невдач. Прийняття рішень вимагатиме експериментів і ризиків ще частіше.

Therefore, the education of employees, starting with top management, should be a significant and distinct direction of the company's policy. The main goal can be both to meet the needs of the company and to change the thinking of the whole team, which will allow all its employees to keep up with change and effectively maintain a high level of competence. It is noted that the rapid development of the labor market requires continuous training for professionals to adapt to changes in this market and business quickly. One of the principles of andragogy is the correction of outdated experiences and personal attitudes that prevent the acquisition of new knowledge. Old experiences often conflict with the demands of the times and even corporate goals. Quality «adult» education will have a long-term impact on the economy of the enterprise. To make out how to implement «adult» learning, flexible learning systems can be developed, the so-called educational maps are formed. But the question, what exactly to study, still remains. The recent World Economic Forum (WEF) on the discussion of the topic «What to be in the future», highlighted its weighted, derived from their analysis, list of skills for 2025. The main ones are adaptability, the flexibility of thinking, focusing, and political acumen. ADAPTABILITY One of the necessary skills and competitive advantages in the future will be adaptability. It will increase the chances for the success of each individual and the company as a whole. This skill will require a clear understanding of reality, adapting our thinking to the new, making non-standard decisions, approaches, and the immediate introduction of new working ways. Resilience will become something vague; adaptability will be crucial for overcoming difficulties, recovery from failure. Decision-making will require experimentation and risk even more often.

Здатність до адаптивності допоможе ефективніше і з меншими втратами приймати реальність. Сьогодні більшість фахівців та керівників компаній перебувають у стані війни з реальністю замість того, щоб приймати те, що відбувається, вони діють, заперечуючи інновації, нововведення приймаються командами болісно та довго. Багато енергії компанії витрачають на суперечки та боротьбу із запереченнями. Потрібно розуміти, що, упираючись, ми застрягаємо. Коли ми приймаємо реальність і ми адаптивні, ми вже можемо діяти. Здатність команди долати опір змінам та підлаштовуватись буде ефективним способом розвитку адаптивного, вже прогресивного мислення.

The ability to adapt will help to accept reality more efficiently and with less loss. Today, most professionals and company executives are at war with reality - instead of accepting what is happening, they act by denying innovations; innovation is accepted by teams painfully and for a long time. The company spends much energy arguing and fighting objections. We need to understand that when we resist, we get stuck. When we accept reality, and we are adaptable, we can already act. The team's ability to resist change and adapt will be an effective way to develop adaptive, already progressive thinking.

З великою впевненістю можна сказати, що невизначеність і непередбачуваність нікуди не подінуться. Але, ми можемо навчатись фокусуванню і визначанню вагомих пріоритетів. It is a political acumen, diplomatic insight, intelligence, professional superintuition. Political acumen is not about politics but a political feeling within the organization. It will be the ability to make bold but very informed decisions and the ability to create effective and environmentally friendly management. What should a modern leader do to develop political acumen?

Навчитись складати і використовувати «карту сили своєї команди», а саме, визначати тих, хто має формальний та неформальний вплив в організаційному ландшафті та конкретних обставинах. Чуття вступати в виграшні колаборації, будувати відносини у середині організації (у першу чергу з тими, хто має вплив). Щирі, прозорі та взаємовигідні відносини. Саме ця навичка чітко розмежовує political acumen й професійні або посадові маніпуляції. Political acumen допоможе нам входити у різні формальні й неформальні професійні об'єднання, використовувати свою владу розумно і ретельно обирати битви. Не воювати у війнах, де неможливо буде виграти. Не вступати у битви, де немає головного призу. Не брати участь у чужих війнах, бо як вже зазначалось, час і енергія - ресурси обмежені та невідновні. Поважати усіх людей навколо. Сприймати сильних не як небезпечних, а як ресурсних. За моїми власними спостереженнями, на останньому є велика проблема - замість дослухатись до більш досвідчених і сильних, ми часто починаємо з ними конкурувати.

According to my own observations, the latter has a big problem - instead of listening to the more experienced and strong ones, we often start competing with them.

А щоденний та ретельний розвиток цих скілів - кращий спосіб залишатися актуальними та затребуваним на ринку праці майбутнього, та у мінливому світі в цілому.

Even though the technology is evolving at missile speed, shortly, these skills will not be automated; machines won't replace carriers their. And the daily and careful development of these skills is the best way to remain relevant and in demand in the future labor market and the changing world as a whole.

IT professor of chemical engineering Robert Langer is one of the most famous scientists of our time. He is not only the holder of a ten-figure fortune but also has many awards; he is the author of over 1000 patents and is considered the most cited engineer in history. Langer's students at Langer Lab are already starting their own biotech firms, with Langer as an investor and board member in their companies. Moderna, a biotech startup based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has seen its shares rise in price for the third time in 2020. The extreme leap has led to the emergence of a new billionaire, Robert Langer. Moderna shares surged nearly 7 % the day after the company, founded in 2010, announced that it had collected enough data on the third phase of trials of its COVID-19 vaccine to be submitted to an independent panel for review. The news came three days after pharmaceutical giant Pfizer released positive results from trials of its own vaccine, developed jointly with German biotech startup BioNTech. Like Moderna, BioNTech uses advanced matrix RNA technology. On November 16, the stock continued to rise again after the tests were reported to show nearly 95 % efficiency.

ondon-based Brand Finance consultancy has examined how the coronavirus pandemic has affected the fashion, automotive, cosmetics, and personal care industries. According to the results of the study, the company has published a rating of the brands most successful (value growth up to 20 percent) and affected (loss in value up to 20 percent) from January 1, 2020. The German car manufacturer Porsche heads the list. During the period under review, the brand value increased by 15.6 %, to $33.9 billion. Gucci is in second place, which has risen in price by 20.2 %, to $17.63 billion. Third in the ranking is Louis Vuitton, whose value rose 21.4 % to $16.5 billion. The top ten most valuable brands also include CARTIER ($15 billion), CHANEL ($13.7 billion), HERMÈS ($11.9 billion), FERRARI, ROLEX, DIOR, and COACH. Givenchy showed the fastest growth rates. The fashion house's value increased by 74.2 % to $2 billion.

...according to Brand Finance, the world's 50 most expensive luxury and premium brands will fall in price as a result of a pandemic by $20 billion.

It is noteworthy that the list of the most valuable luxury companies includes as many as 9 brands belonging to LVMH. Their total value increased by 19 % ($39.3 billion). Meanwhile, Valentino, Maserati, and Aston Martin were among the most affected. During the quarantine period, their cost decreased significantly (by 39.1 %, 43.7 %, and 49.5 %, respectively). To a somewhat lesser extent, things worsened for Dolce & Gabbana (-20.8 %) and Salvatore Ferragamo (-13.2 %). In general, according to Brand Finance, the world's 50 most expensive luxury and premium brands will fall in price as a result of a pandemic by $20 billion. The biggest blow will be in the fashion and automotive industries. Here brands will lose up to 10 % of their value. Brand Finance also analyzed the surveyed companies for marketing strategy, loyalty, attitudes towards employees, corporate reputation, and ability to influence consumer choice. Ferrari, Rolex, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Hermès, Moncler, SK-II, and Bottega Veneta do the best with this. Besides, the consulting firm analysts named companies that were positively affected by the COVID. They are Amazon online retailer, Netflix streaming service, WhatsApp and Skype instant messengers, the BBC broadcaster, and BUPA health insurance and medical services group.

С какой целью был составлен рейтинг Топ 50 Fostylen Beauty Awards мы уже вам рассказывали. А составляли мы его все вместе: главный редактор и журналисты Fostylen собрались за одним столом, чтобы обсудить кандидатуры номинантов - 50 лучших из лучших представителей различных сфер деятельности. Самых красивых, на наш взгляд, самых успешных и влиятельных деятелей культуры, искусства, медицины, политики, спорта и бизнеса. При составлении рейтинга мы руководствовались сугубо личными симпатиями, представлениями о красоте и важности вкладов, сделанных нашими финалистами в развитие общества и страны за уходящий год.

And we made it all together: the chief editor and journalists of Fostylen gathered at the same table to discuss the nominees - 50 best of the best representatives of various fields of activity. The most beautiful, in our opinion, the most successful and influential figures of culture, art, medicine, politics, sports, and business. Lieberman) is, probably, the most beautiful People's Artist of Ukraine. Blond Hollywood waist-length curls and red lipstick have become the singer's hallmark. And miraculous voice and an all-embracing Ukrainian soul distinguish Tina Karol from the constellation of other Ukrainian pop stars. In one of her interviews, Tina said that Ukrainians are «too self-pity» and called on everyone to drop this habit. And indeed, the artist's resilience and will power are not to be missed. Having lost her beloved husband after a long but fruitless struggle with stomach cancer, Tina did not break down, putting all her pain into her work and, having dedicated the program to her beloved, went on an all-Ukrainian concert tour. The singer is known for her patriotic views and charitable performances at battle areas and military hospitals. Her «Pole of Attraction» fund to help children with cancer has saved many lives. All Tina Karol's albums go platinum. The singer has won the hearts of Ukrainian listeners and is now actively moving towards the western stage.

Monatik started his career as a child with the DBS Crew, a breakdancing band. Dima was not given anything just like that, but his talent and perseverance did not go unnoticed. The first impetus to the career of a vocalist was the casting of the Ukrainian «Star Factory», where he was noticed by the national artist Natalia Mogilevskaya. And then, as they say, it started «Everybody dance», «X-factor», filming in series. The songs he wrote for Svetlana Loboda, Eva Bushmina, and other famous performers became hits. Each single of the band was certainly doomed to success; their videos collected hundreds of thousands of views. One of them, for the song «Zaberi», was filmed in Mexico. However, on March 11, 2020, the band stunned fans with the sad news of the breakup. «Our time is up,» Dorofeeva commented on the band's breakup. Besides music, fashion has always been another Nadya's passion. Подобными словами можно описать и нынешнее поколение Porsche Panamera. Но там вы никогда не найдете столь явно выраженные «бедра» колесных арок - и это второе. Передние постоянно видны водителю сквозь лобовое стекло, а задние приметны в зеркалах.

Porsche uses its experience there to create new technologies and electric cars, some of which have already been received by the Taycan. MIRACLES OF ELECTRIC ENGINES The Porsche Tycan has proven even to die-hard skeptics that a truly powerful sports car can be fully electric, and it's not just a fancy gadget, but a complete car. The technical parameters of the Porsche Taycan will impress even the most experienced motor sportsmen thanks to the enchanting acceleration, the traction characteristic of a sports car, and the practical range. For example, the flagship version of the Taycan Turbo S, when activated by Launch Control, delivers the power of up to 560 kW (761 hp) in Overboost mode. The power of the Taycan Turbo version is 500 kW (680 hp). The Taycan Turbo S accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and the Taycan Turbo in 3.2 seconds. Just in case, we remind you: yes, it is an electric car, and the feeling of acceleration is even more fantastic than these numbers.

Aerodynamicists have been able to take full advantage of the electric vehicle's architecture without the usual limitations of a classic sports car. To reduce resistance, the brake cooling air dampers can be closed. Depending on the driving situation, the rear spoiler extends in three different positions and thus influences air resistance and lift. Depending on the speed and the selected driving mode, the vehicle's ground clearance decreases, which further reduces resistance. The Porsche Taycan sports car is an apogee of the engineering thought of the German car industry. It combines innovation, sporting performance, and sustainability. Now no one will say that an electric sports car is just a beautiful toy. The Porsche Taycan - with its 450 km range and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds - is perfect proof of that.

тот необычный отель расположен в старинном особняке на окраине кенийской столицы – Найроби. Здание было построено в 1932 году и ранее служило охотничьим домом для приезжающих на Сафари. Спустя сорок лет супружеская пара Лесли Мелвилл выкупила особняк и основала здесь Африканский фонд защиты исчезающих видов животных (AFEW). Первым питомцем стал детеныш жирафа по имени Дейзи, а сейчас на территории поместья в 47 гектаров обитает уже 8 жирафов и множество других животных, нуждающихся в помощи. В центре спасают больных, раненых и осиротевших животных, в основном, носорогов и слонят, выкармливают их, и после специального курса адаптации выпускают на волю в ближайший заповедник.

Теперешние владельцы этого места Майки и Таня Карр-Хартли превратили здание в отель, включив его в коллекцию своих эксклюзивных бутик-отелей под названием Safari Collection. Уникальной особенностью отеля стали очаровательные жирафы Ротшильда, которые свободно гуляют по территории, абсолютно не боятся людей и без намека на скромность выпрашивают у них угощение, просовывая головы в окна ресторана и спален каждое утро и вечер. This unusual hotel is located in an old mansion on the outskirts of the Kenyan capital - Nairobi. The building was constructed in 1932 and previously served as a hunting lodge for Safari visitors. Forty years later, Leslie Melville, a married couple, bought the mansion and founded the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW) here. The first animal was a baby giraffe named Daisy, and now 8 giraffes and many other animals in need of help live on the territory of the 47-hectare estate. In the center, sick, wounded, and orphaned animals, mainly rhinos and elephants, are rescued, they are fed, and after a special adaptation course, they are released into the wild in the nearest reserve.

The site's current owners, Mikey and Tanya Carr-Hartley, have converted the building into a hotel by incorporating it into their Safari Collection of their exclusive boutique hotels. A unique feature of the hotel is the charming Rothschild giraffes, who freely walk around the territory, have no fear of people and, without a hint of modesty, beg for food from them, poking their heads through the windows of the restaurant and bedrooms every morning and evening. By the way, there are only about 700 of these giraffes left in the wild. The employees of the hotel-reserve are engaged in breeding giraffes so that they can be released into the wild later.

Влад, Лиза, вы оба такие веселые, красивые, талантливые! Расскажите, как вы познакомились, живя в разных городах? Влад: Познакомились мы в Театре музыкальной комедии им. Михаила Водяного на постановке рок-оперы «Ромео и Джульетта», в которой, соответственно, я играл Ромео, а она - Джульетту. Тогда, умирая на сцене театра, между нами возникла искра. Лиза, расскажите, как ваш будущий супруг сделал вам предложение? Лиза: Предложение Владик мне сделал на Рождество. Мы тогда отдыхали в Карпатах. И уже буквально на следующий день началась тотальная подготовка к свадьбе. Ваша свадьба по праву заслужила победу в номинации «Самая креативная пара» на Odessa Wedding Awards. Лиза, вы говорите, что начали готовиться к торжеству на следующий день после предложения. Как проходила подготовка? Лиза: Да, это так. Я находила в интернете разные ивенты для невест. Через две недели после предложения мы с мамой начали посещать такие мероприятия, на одном из которых, кстати, я нашла нашего ведущего Алексея Дубчака. Но на самом деле, всю концепцию нашей свадьбы мы выстраивали под мое платье, которое я купила еще зимой. Платье было пышным, тяжелым, поэтому от идеи мужа провести торжество летом сразу пришлось отказаться. Я бы в нем сознание потеряла от жары. Кроме того, летом, как вы знаете, мы все переживали тотальный карантин, поэтому наш выбрал пал на осенний сезон.

Vlad, Liza, both of you are so joyful, beautiful, talented! Tell us how you met while living in different cities? Vlad: We met at the Musical Comedy Theater named after Mikhail Vodyanoy at the staging of the «Romeo and Juliet» rock opera, in which, respectively, I played Romeo, and she played Juliet. Then, dying on the stage of the theater, there was a spark between us. Liza, tell us how your future spouse proposed to you? Liza: Vladik made me an offer on Christmas. Then, we rested in the Carpathians. And just the next day, the total preparation for the wedding had started. Your wedding rightfully deserved victory in «The Most Creative Couple» nomination at the Odessa Wedding Awards. Liza, you say that you started preparing for the celebration the day after the proposal. How was the preparation? Liza: Yes, that's how it was. I found various events for brides on the Internet. Two weeks after the proposal, my mother and I started attending such events, at one of which, by the way, I found our host Alexei Dubchak. But, in fact, we built the whole concept of our wedding to match my dress, which I had bought, back in winter. The dress was lush, heavy, so the husband's idea of celebrating in the summer had to be abandoned right away. I would have lost my consciousness in it because of the heat. Besides, in the summer, as you know, we all experienced total quarantine, so we chose the fall season.

Коронавирус свалился на всех, как снег на голову, сведя на нет миллионы планов и ожиданий. Вы ощутили на себе влияние пандемии во время подготовки к свадьбе?

The coronavirus has turned up out of the blue, destroying millions of plans and expectations. Have you felt the impact of the pandemic while preparing for your wedding?

Влад: Тогда, конечно, мы и догадываться не могли ни о каком коронавирусе. Потом начали делить страну на зоны, вводить ограничения. Лизе в этом плане немного проще, она одесситка, и все гости живут рядом. Я же из Западной Украины, и вся моя родня оттуда. Поэтому возникли проблемы с транспортировкой моих 50-60 человек и, к сожалению, далеко не все смогли приехать. Кроме того, все гости обязательно сдавали ПЦР-тесты и у 20 людей был выявлен коронавирус, еще за неделю до свадьбы. Эмоционально это было достаточно тяжело. Хотелось увидеть всех своих, а их не было. В результате на нашей свадьбе было около 90 гостей.

Vlad: Then, of course, we couldn't even guess about any coronavirus. Then they began to divide the country into zones and introduce restrictions. It is a bit easier for Liza in this regard, she is from Odessa, and all the guests live nearby. I am from Western Ukraine, and all my relatives are from there. Therefore, there were problems with the transportation of my 50-60 people and, unfortunately, not all of them were able to come. Besides, all guests had to take PCR tests, and coronavirus was detected in 20 people, just a week before the wedding. Emotionally, it was hard enough. I wanted to see all my people, but they failed to come. As a result, there were about 90 guests at our wedding.

Лиза: Да, к сожалению так. Изначально мы планировали свадьбу примерно на 70 человек. Но, начав составлять списки приглашенных, оказалось, что у нас очень большая семья и только самых близких набралось 120 человек! В Одессе не так много площадок и банкетных холлов, которые могли бы разместить такое количество гостей, особенно в пандемию, поэтому наш выбор пал на Renaissance Grand Hall.

Liza: Yes, unfortunately, it was so. We originally planned a wedding for about 70 people. But, starting to compile the lists of invitees, it turned out that we had a very big family, and there were only 120 of the closest people! There are not many venues and banquet halls in Odessa that could accommodate so many guests, especially during the pandemic, so we chose the Renaissance Grand Hall.

Влад: Что касается самой свадьбы - это, как говорили потом гости, была «диснеевско-голливудская» сказка. Так как мы с Лизой оба артисты: я - оперный певец, актер, а она - эстрадная певица и актриса театра, свадьба вышла веселой и фееричной. Изначально мы переживали, что, возможно, будет не хватать развлекательных номеров. Но, так как у нас было много гостей с театральной, творческой, вокальной, танцевальной и других креативных сфер, они преподнесли нам массу приятных сюрпризов. И в итоге у нас получилась свадьба-концерт. Нам повезло с Grand Hall, так как там есть сцена и место, поэтому наша свадьба как раз чудесно вписалась в предоставленную обстановку. Для нас выступали разные ансамбли, оркестры. Кроме того, я исполнил песню для Лизы, а она - для меня, а потом мы вместе представили публике композицию Андре Бочелли Vivo per lei. Кстати, именно с этой песней мы и выиграли номинацию «Креативность» на Odessa Wedding Awards.

Vlad: As for the wedding itself, as the guests later said, it was a «Disney-Hollywood» fairy tale. Since Liza and I are both artists: I am an opera singer, an actor, and she is a pop singer and theater actress, the wedding turned out to be cheerful and enchanting. Initially, we worried that there might not be enough entertainment performances. But, since we had many guests from theatrical, creative, vocal, dance, and other creative spheres, they gave us a lot of pleasant surprises. And as a result, we had a wedding concert. We were lucky with the Grand Hall, as it had a stage and enough room, so our wedding just perfectly fit into the provided environment. Some ensembles and orchestras performed for us. Besides, I sang a song for Liza, and she performed for me, and then, together, we presented the public Andre Bocelli's Vivo per lei composition. By the way, with that song, we won the «Creativity» nomination at the Odessa Wedding Awards.

Лиза: Но не только песня и не только выступления наших дорогих гостей придавали торжеству сказочной «диснеевско-голливудской» атмосферы. Сам по себе зал - просто сказочный, а наши подрядчики в плане декора постарались и сделали все на высшем уровне. А еще мы выбрали соответствующие наряды. Как я уже говорила, у меня было пышное платье диснеевской принцессы, а у мужа - типичный итальянский свадебный костюм красно-бордового цвета, не совсем привычный для украинской публики. А первым нашем танцем стал танго. Мы с Владом люди энергичные и вальсы просто не подходят нам по психотипу. Специально для танго я подготовила облегающее блестящее платье в пол с разрезом от бедра. Кстати, подрядчики, конечно кроме самих молодоженов и гостей, играют важную роль. Вы остались довольны организацией свадьбы? Возникали ли какие-нибудь сложности? Влад: Как уже говорила моя супруга, подготовка к свадьбе началась уже за 7 месяцев до торжества. И уже тогда многие подрядчики были заняты. Но нам очень «повезло», так как у некоторых подрядчиков сорвались планы из-за пандемии. Поэтому, я думаю, что нам удалось нанять лучших из лучших в Одессе. Лиза: Да, практически всех подрядчиков мы нашли быстро. Всех, кроме декора. А как вы знаете, декор - это атмосфера свадьбы, ее общий вид. Но мы никак не могли определиться. И вот до свадьбы остается три месяца, а у нас нет декора! Мне ничего не нравится, но вот, чисто случайно я нахожу в Инстаграм студию авторских декораций и влюбляюсь в их работы с первого взгляда. Я очень благодарна им за потрясающие декорации и помощь при голосовании за нашу пару в конкурсе!

Liza: But not only the song and not only our dear guests' performances provided the fabulous Disney-Hollywood atmosphere to the celebration. The hall itself was fabulous, and our contractors, in terms of decor, performed everything at the highest level. We also chose appropriate outfits. As I already said, I had a lush Disney princess dress, and my husband had a typical Italian wedding suit of red and burgundy color, not quite familiar to the Ukrainian public. And our first dance was tango. Vlad and I are energetic people, and waltzes just don't fit our psychotype. Especially for tango, I prepared a tight-fitting shiny long dress with a slit from the hip. By the way, contractors, of course, besides the newlyweds themselves and guests, play an important role. Are you satisfied with the organization of your wedding? Did you come across any difficulties? Vlad: As my wife already said, preparations for the wedding had started 7 months before the celebration. And even then, many contractors were busy. But we were very «lucky», as some contractors' plans got ruined due to the pandemic. Therefore, I think that we've managed to hire the best of the best in Odessa. Liza: Yes, we found almost all contractors quickly. Everyone, except decorators. And as you know, the decor is the atmosphere of the wedding, its general appearance. But we couldn't make up our minds. And just imagine, there are three months left before the wedding, and we have no decor! I didn’t like anything, but then, just by chance, I found a studio of author's scenery on Instagram and fell in love with their work at first sight. I am very grateful to them for the amazing decorations and help in voting for our couple in the competition!

Уинстон Черчилль и Джордж Бернард Шоу - примеры международных деятелей, которые проводили свои отпуска на Мадейре, во дворце Бельмонда Рейда (кстати, расположенном на той же улице, всего в минуте ходьбы от дома Марианы). Réveillon очаровывает своими знаменитыми фейерверками, роскошными кораблями и масштабными гала-концертами. Поэтому Мадейра считается лучшим местом для отдыха в Европе.

We will celebrate the New Year holidays with Mariana’s family at their home in Funchal, the capital of Madeira Island (where Cristiano Ronaldo was born). Madeira is like the «Iberian Monaco». Winston Churchill and George Bernard Shaw are examples of international personalities that spent their holidays in Madeira, in Belmond Reid’s Palace (located in the same street and just at a 1-minute walk from Mariana’s home, by the way). The Réveillon is charming with its famous firework display, luxury ships, and fancy galas. Because of it, Madeira has been considered the best place to spend the Réveillon of Europe. Furthermore, Madeira is considered the more «COVID-free place» in Southern Europe. We are lucky to have our heaven on earth in Madeira.

Карантин повлиял на наши отношения, сделав их крепче, чем когда-либо. Будем надеяться, с приходом 2021 все проблемы останутся позади. Скажите, когда свадьба? Где планируете провести мероприятие? Да, мы тоже на это надеемся. Из-за пандемии COVID-19 мы планируем свадьбу только на 2022 год в одной из наших семейных резиденций между Португалией и Испанией. Кроме того, мы планируем две вечеринки: одну в Португалии, а вторую в Испании. Так будет справедливее. Мариана, вопрос к вам. Луиш живет на две страны, где ведет бизнес. Как вы относитесь к частым отъездам любимого? Правда в том, что я к этому привыкла, потому что наши отношения всегда были такими. В силу профессии и схожести ситуации я тоже много путешествую. For many couples, the coronavirus and total lockdown have become a serious test of the strength of feelings. How did your couple go through the quarantine? Looking at your touching photos, have your relationships only become stronger? Yes, we totally agree with you. In our case, we feel that quarantine had a positive effect on our relationship because we spent more time together. Note that usually, during the week, Mariana stays at her home in Lisbon, and I - in Spain, between Badajoz and Madrid. The quarantine made our relationship stronger than ever. Hopefully, with the arrival of 2021, all problems will be left behind. Tell us, when is the wedding? Where are you planning to host the event? Yes, we hope so. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are planning our wedding just for 2022, in one of our family palatial properties, between Portugal and Spain. We also are planning two parties, one of them in Portugal and the other in Spain. It is fairer. Mariana, a question for you. Luis lives in two countries where he does his business. How do you feel about the frequent departures of your beloved? The truth is that I am used to it because our relations have always been like that. Due to my profession and familiar situation, I also do travel a lot. When I have time (it is a rare situation), I also accompany Luis (and vice-versa). Business is business. Luis, Mariana, it is a custom to make wishes on New Year's Eve. What would you most like for yourself and each other in the new year? We wish to keep on being a lucky couple who love, respect, and support each other. Naturally, we also wish health, love, and prosperity to our family and friends. Finally, we wish that the COVID-19 pandemic finishes and people return to their happy lives, without masks, and with their beautiful smiles.

Мне хотелось уйти от стереотипа, что косметолог - это упитанная женщина с теплой улыбкой, которая делает маски или максимум укол в губы. Поэтому на странице моей клиники выложены примеры работ по безоперационной пластике носа, лица. Клиника, пластика, нос, лицо - наверное это все очень дорого? У меня доступные цены. А клиника - это движение в ногу со временем. Тенденция показывает, что люди не верят в кабинеты, приемы на дому. 14-15 ноября в роскошном Bristol Hotel при поддержке Ukrainian Fashion Association состоялся юбилейный сезон Одесской недели моды.

On 14-15 November, the anniversary season of Odessa Fashion Week took place at the luxurious Bristol Hotel with the support of the Ukrainian Fashion Association.

рамках нового сезона в digital-формате было представлено 24 показа, которые прошли под лозунгом #DiversityFashion. В связи с этой концепцией в модных показах участие приняли модели вне возрастных ограничений и шаблонных параметров, которые сегодня теряют свою актуальность в модном бизнесе. Тем самым организаторы Odessa Fashion Week показывают, что поддерживают идею аптренда на разнообразие человеческой красоты. «Мы свободны от шаблонов, которые теряют свою актуальность во всем мире. Стандартные параметры больше не являются нормой. Мы все разные, и у каждого своя красота. И мы, как люди из модной индустрии, создающие моду и тренды, должны учитывать потребности всего населения. Поэтому считаем целесообразным показывать коллекции для всех типов фигуры, для людей разного возраста, и исходить из различных предпочтений потенциального потребителя», - заявляет организатор Odessa Fashion Week, Зарина Семенюк. 14 ноября состоялось торжественное открытие 15-го юбилейного сезона Odessa Fashion Week, в рамках которого участие приняли дизайнеры со всей Украины, а также из Молдовы и Нью-Йорка: ELSA FAIRY DRESSES, KIRA TAN, AKEL KIDS, NATALIIA RUDNITSKA, INSTITUTE OF MODERN MADAME & NI-TA by Nikolayenko Tatyana, POLIIT, INSTITUTE OF MODERN MADAME & ТАНІНИ ПЛАТТЯ, KORIN & KARI MODELS, KRUTYAKOV, CELEBRITY ROOM, CORELI (Молдова), ALEX TEIH & CHERVA BRAND (Нью-Йорк). 15 ноября по традиции прошел Kids Fashion Day, где коллекции украинских дизайнеров с достоинством представили юные модели со всей Украины: ANDRE TAN KIDS, MISS DM, TELL ME, IRIS ZINOVIEVA & JENNIFFER SCHOOL, I'M BRILLIANT & KARI MODELS, MISS HAPPY DRESS & ROYAL FAMILY MODELS, IRINA STRONG, NUELVE & AMAZONKA MODELS, MAKSILIANI, ODESSA TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL COLLEGE & OZIYI MELANIE, BRIDAL FASHION & ROYAL FAMILY MODELS, NANOJY. Помимо показов, гостей ожидали выступления специальных музыкальных исполнителей: Анастасия Букина, Kirill Gurskiy & Zakharova, Maxim Akel и Игорь Чеборак (продюсерский центр Basso Production). Показы будут также доступны в скором времени на международных площадках медиапартнеров Odessa Fashion Week: Fashion TV, Fashion Channel, FF Channel, New York Style Guide.

Thus, the organizers of Odessa Fashion Week show that they support the idea of an uptrend towards the diversity of human beauty. «We are free of patterns that are losing their relevance around the world. Standard parameters are no longer the norm. We are all different, and each has its own beauty. And we, as the representatives of the fashion industry who create fashion and trends, must take into account the needs of the entire population. Therefore, we consider it expedient to show collections for all body types, for people of different ages, and proceed from the various preferences of the potential consumer, the organizer of Odessa Fashion Week,» Zarina Semenyuk says. On November 14, the grand opening of the 15th anniversary season of Odessa Fashion Week took place, in which designers from all over Ukraine, as well as from Moldova and New York, took part: ELSA FAIRY DRESSES, KIRA TAN, AKEL KIDS, NATALIIA RUDNITSKA, INSTITUTE OF MODERN MADAME & NI-TA by Nikolayenko Tatyana, POLIIT, INSTITUTE OF MODERN MADAME & ТАNІNY PLATTYA, KORIN & KARI MODELS, KRUTYAKOV, CELEBRITY ROOM, CORELI (Moldova), ALEX TEIH & CHERVA BRAND (New York). On November 15, traditionally, Kids Fashion Day was held, where the collections of Ukrainian designers were presented with dignity by young models from all over Ukraine: ANDRE TAN KIDS, MISS DM, TELL ME, IRIS ZINOVIEVA & JENNIFFER SCHOOL, I'M BRILLIANT & KARI MODELS, MISS HAPPY DRESS & ROYAL FAMILY MODELS, IRINA STRONG, NUELVE & AMAZONKA MODELS, MAKSILIANI, ODESSA TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL COLLEGE & OZIYI MELANIE, BRIDAL FASHION & ROYAL FAMILY MODELS, NANOJY. In addition to the fashion shows, special musical performers: Anastasia Bukina, Kirill Gurskiy & Zakharova, Maxim Akel, and Igor Cheborak (Basso Production) expected the guests. Catwalk shows will also be available soon on international platforms of Odessa Fashion Week’s media partners: Fashion TV, Fashion Channel, FF Channel, and New York Style Guide.
