BRAND INTRODUCTION

“[Meghan Zobeck’s] debut wines show the quality and style of the ‘ 21 vintage, showing purity and floral notes amid energetic fruit.”
–WINE SPECTATOR, NEW DIRECTIONS IN NAPA CABERNET

Burgess is among Napa Valley’s greatest historical estates. From the Swiss-Italian ancestors who first planted the Sorenson Vineyard in the late 1800s on Howell Mountain to the present day, the winery has embraced the role and importance of nature in crafting elegant wines from its pedigreed vineyards.

In 1943, Lee Stewart planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah grapes on Howell Mountain’s steep hillsides, naming his winery Souverain. Subsequent Napa Valley greats also tended the land; before starting the historic Stag’s Leap and Grgich wineries, Warren Winiarski and Mike Grgich each learned their trades at the Estate.

When Tom Burgess arrived in the Napa Valley, he began a quest to find the perfect vineyard site to yield the Cabernet Sauvignon wine he loved. Burgess acquired the Souverain estate in 1972 and hired Bill Sorenson as his chief winemaker, a role he held for 41 vintages, one of the longest tenures in the history of the Napa Valley.

Meghan Zobeck took the reigns as winemaker in 2020. A leader in regenerative and promiscuous farming, Meghan trained at luminaries including Screaming Eagle, Stag's Leap WIne Cellars, and Atelier Melka. Her winemaking style prioritizes balance, delicacy, and purity. From the slopes of the historical Sorenson Vineyard in Crystal Springs AVA, to the St. Andrews estate, Burgess vineyards are farmed to mimic nature rather than overpower it.

2021 Promiscua Cabernet Sauvignon

One of Robb Report's ' 50 Greatest Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons of the 21 s Century (So Far).'

Promiscua, sourced from three promiscuously and regeneratively farmed vineyards, pays homage to the Ancient Roman practice of Agricultura Promiscua. This ancient practice championed the tenets of biodiversity and polyculture by trellising vines on trees and interplanting different crops. The results? Robust, healthy vineyards capable of producing wines of impeccable quality.

This signature red blend provides a multi-site, expressive style of Burgess in one vintage: the wine is sensationally aromatic with delicate yet complex flavors and notes of freshly cut cedar, red cassis, and Luxardo cherry.

Haynes Vineyard is a benchmark of Coombsville. First planted in 1967, it boasts the oldest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines in Napa Valley. The three Chardonnay tiers featured here are determined by where they come from in the vineyard.

The historic Haynes Vineyard, originally purchased by James Whitford from Nathan Coombs in 1866, is comprised of a 43-acre parcel and includes 27

acres planted to vine. A lower elevation site with a sightline to the San Pablo Bay, this microclimate is distinguished by cooler temperatures, with winds and marine fog often billowing through and lingering amongst the rows of vines.

One of Napa Valley’s most treasured sites capable of producing wines of generous structure with fresh acidity and minerality, the vineyard designate wines enclosed here are made with intent, showcasing the symbiotic relationship between the prehistoric oceanic soils of Coombsville and the decades-old vines firmly rooted there.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

“Matt Taylor makes a small amount of very impressive, very hands-off wine from a tiny pocket of vineyard land outside Occidental, in the far Sonoma Coast.”
– RAY ISLE, “THESE ARE THE 15 NEW CALIFORNIA WINERIES YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 2025”, FOOD & WINE

Matt Taylor Wines is eponymous for a reason; these bottles contain an inimitable intersection of place and viewpoint. A Sonoma County native from three generations, Taylor has pursued wine knowledge across the world, studying and working in Xerez, Burgundy, Hawkes Bay, Mendoza, Cafayate, the Russian River Valley and Napa Valley. It all led him to the same conclusion: wine should be as thorough an expression of place as possible.

The hand-crafted wines from the West Sonoma Coast are produced from the Komorebi Vineyard, Japanese for "sunlight filtered through the leaves of trees," perched just four miles from the Pacific Ocean and dry-farmed using organic and biodynamic practices.

Winemaker Matt Taylor’s understanding of his vineyards with their long, cool growing season informs his whole-cluster-fermented Pinot Noir and no-sulfur-added Chardonnay, and inspired him to embark on planting Loire varietals for the future. These hand-painted bottles are defined by a poetic purity — they are a love letter to the land that only Taylor could write.

“The Chardonnays are compelling. Here, I admire the balance of textural richness and freshness… Racines has achieved notable success in just a few vintages.”
– ANTONIO GALLONI, VINOUS

After nearly thirty years of successfully managing Domaine de Montille, his family estate in Burgundy that goes back to the 1730s, Étienne de Montille wanted to explore new horizons in making Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in a different environment. In July 2016, Étienne and Brian Sieve, an American winemaker who settled with his family in Burgundy and has been the Chef de Cave at Domaine de Montille for a decade, embarked on a three-week tour of the US Pacific Coast in search of cool climate terroir with exceptional potential.

The team came together to join their individual experiences in hand-crafting wines of purity and transparency to create a range of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the cool climate of the Sta. Rita Hills in California.

The project is the first venture for Étienne and Rodolphe beyond France and represents the coming together of all that is wonderful about Burgundy, Champagne and California. Winemaker Ryan Hannaford has joined the team, and together with Sieve makes terroir driven, elegant, and balanced wines in the new world.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

“The Chardonnays from Stony Hill have been classic since—forever. Napa's first cult winery eschewed chasing style and went with a conviction and focus on site and purity of fruit.”

– CLIVE PURSEHOUSE, DECANTER

In 1943, Fred McCrea and his wife, Eleanor, stumbled onto a 168-acre plot of land hidden away on the slopes of Spring Mountain, which they purchased and later named Stony Hill Vineyard.

With their love for French white wines combined with the ideal growing conditions of their property, the McCreas built the first post-prohibition winery in 1951 and released their inaugural vintage the following year. Stony Hill’s terroir and climate mirrored that of Burgundy, made of volcanic mountain soil with a limestone sub-layer and a northeast-facing hillside, making it perfect to craft

their preferred style of Chardonnay. Some would later refer to Stony Hill as “America’s greatest white wine estate.”

In 2020 the Lawrence Family became the next family to own the pearl of Spring Mountain. Under the watchful eye of managing partner, Carlton McCoy Jr., Stony Hill has taken careful steps to preserve its legacy in the Napa Valley, keeping the integrity of the land and winemaking style intact. A hidden oasis encompassed solely by lush forestry, the high-elevation vineyard features an unparalleled view of the valley below. The founders’ original home on the Estate has been transformed into a stunning mid-century modern haven, inviting guests to experience the entrancing time capsule of Stony Hill.

"Change in Bordeaux happens one château at a time, when a forward-thinking winemaker is given the needed tools and support by ownership and a green light to make it happen…[Axel Heinz] has the ingredients at Lascombes. It might not be long before he joins the ranks of the region’s most consequential winemaker hires of Bordeaux’s current generation.”

On its hillside at the entrance to Margaux, in the heart of the Médoc, Château Lascombes is a Second Growth in the 1855 classification with a long history, characterized by pioneering owners and a terroir that reflects all the characteristics of the appellation.

Since 2022, an ambitious family-oriented renewal has been underway with new owner Gaylon Lawrence, Jr., a lover of Bordeaux wines,

and Axel Heinz, a highly respected winemaker who excelled in Tuscany for almost twenty years.

The Lascombes range of wines reflects the incomparable diversity of the estate’s terroirs. A collector’s Grand Vin, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, refocused on the historic terroir, offers a graceful, powerful expression of the classic Bordeaux style. The second wine — Chevalier de Lascombes — presents the freshness and vibrant fruit so dear to Margaux lovers.

The latest addition to the Lascombes family of wines is La Côte Lascombes, a wine that showcases a new perspective from a single vineyard block of Merlot with soils of blue clay.

MARGAUX

If one name were to express the timeless charm of the Médoc and its wines, it would surely be Margaux. In the heart of Margaux AOC stands Château Lascombes.

Situated on one of the most beautiful gravelly hilltops, it peaks at an altitude of 65 feet, making it the highest point in the appellation and one of the highest in the Médoc. The geological gift of the Médoc terroir is its poor soil. This forces the vines to develop deep roots to find the nutrients and minerals they need to grow, giving them a unique concentration. The extra few feet of effort required on the plots of the historic Lascombes terroir due to its altitude gives the vines the special character that earned them their exceptional ranking of Second Grand Cru Classé.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

The reputation of Domaine de Montille is patiently earned; the family’s roots in Volnay stretch back to the 17th century, and their winemaking in Burgundy began in 1750 with plots of Pinot Noir in some of the finest terroirs in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

In the ensuing centuries, many vineyards were sold, until 1947 when Hubert de Montille took over the family home and remaining premiére cru plots in Volnay. He brought new vision and steered the winery towards bottling in-house with an emphasis on terroir and traditional vinification. In 1983, his son Étienne joined the team, and began comanaging with his father in 1995, when together they began organic conversion. A decade later, they also began practicing biodynamics, and in 2006 Étienne’s sister Alix joined as winemaker for the domaine’s white wines. In 2012, the domaine became organic certified.

Over the 70 years since Hubert took the helm, Domaine de Montille’s vineyard holdings and range of wines have grown exponentially, while maintaining the core style and values of the winery. They now own 37 hectares of majority premier cru and grand cru vineyards throughout the Côte d’Or in 20 appellations, acquiring plots in Puligny

Cailleret in 1993, Corton Charlemagne in 2004, Vosne-Romanée, Les Malconsorts and Clos de Vougeot in 2005, and 12 hectares across PulignyMontrachet in 2012

The winery style remains distinctive, with an emphasis on whole cluster fermentations when possible, long macerations, punchdowns at the peak of fermentation, and mostly neutral barrel aging with measured influence from new oak.

Each vintage is treated uniquely to focus on finesse, keeping alcohol levels low for longer aging times.

While the wines of Hubert de Montille would often present austerely when young and open over time, Étienne has adjusted vineyard management and winemaking practices to create more accessibility while maintaining aging ability. Now internationally renowned, the winery is known as equal parts pioneer and benchmark.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

Domaine Roc de l’Abbaye is located in Saint-Satur, a village in the heart of Sancerre with winegrowing origins dating back to the 11th century.

Saint-Satur is famous for its ancient abbey and its Silex (flint) terroir on the hillsides bordering the Loire river.

Silex is a coveted soil type, found in only 15 % of the vineyards in Sancerre, that produces wines with brilliant minerality, acidity and precision with trademark smoky notes.

The domaine has been helmed by the Mollet family for generations. Winemaker Florian Mollet has been managing it since 2000, building a modern cellar and expanding the family estate to 42 acres.

Each parcel is vinified separately in small stainless steel tanks to maintain site specificity. The domaine holds 12 parcels total in Sancerre, with 24 acres of Sauvignon Blanc and nearly 4 acres of Pinot Noir.

Their parcels in Pouilly-Fumé are made up of nearly 15 acres of Sauvignon Blanc. The estate’s farming practices, which have earned two certifications, focus on preserving the ecosystem, delivering quality and maintaining local heritage. The wines are fresh, textured and refined, with a distinct minerality that is indicative of the soil.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES

2023 Antique Sancerre Blanc SANCERRE

BRAND INTRODUCTION

“…there is plenty of serious wine to be found at this address, including several cuvées that would embarrass many small domaines in a blind tasting.”
– WILLIAM KELLEY, WINE ADVOCATE

La Chablisienne just celebrated 100 years of winegrowing across a mosaic of exclusive vineyards in Chablis. This family-owned cooperative was established in 1923 by a group of winegrowers in Chablis with the goals of driving quality and innovation in the region, as well as bolstering the influence of its members. This winery is rooted in a pioneering spirit, creating pure, minerality driven wines of exquisite quality.

Today, La Chablisienne spans 200 winegrowing families and 1,200 acres farmed and is known for producing some of the top wine in Chablis. Chablis produces some of the most distinctive and sought-after Chardonnay in the world. The region’s unique Jurassic era Kimmeridgian soils bestow mouthwatering minerality. La Chablisienne

farms a diverse array of vineyards across the four appellations—Grand Cru, 1er Cru, Chablis and Petit Chablis—so the wines truly represent the essence of each unique location. The winery’s commitment to the environment is demonstrated through a variety of programs implemented at all levels of the company which produce high quality wine while respecting and protecting people and vineyards by optimizing consumption and reducing carbon footprint. By 2026, La Chablisienne plans to have 100% of its vineyards HVE3-certified and 75% will be Terra Vitis-certified.

Vinification for all wines is performed to maintain the nuances of each particular terroir, which is accomplished through cold settling before fermentation and conducting primary and malolactic fermentations in stainless steel tanks. These elegant cuvées are known for their purity, energy and minerality.

2022 Chablis Grand Cru Château Grenouilles

CHABLIS

Sitting in the middle of the Colline des Grand Crus (hill of the Grand Crus) on the right bank of the Serein River, Grenouilles is the smallest of the Grand Crus and La Chablisienne owns over 75 % of this climat.

The name, which dates from the early 14th century, is a reference to the frogs that visit the vineyard from the Serein in the spring. The topography of this climat is similar to Bougros with a steeper lower slope that flattens a bit towards the top of the cru. Geology together with its excellent south and southwest exposure deliver optimum ripeness and phenolic maturity, which yields generous wines with finesse, precision and strength—a complex tension gilded with minerality.

2022 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos

CHABLIS

Grand Cru Les Clos, considered a benchmark of Chablis Grand Cru, is believed to be the first vineyard planted on this hillside in 1267 .

The name is a reference to the stone walls that once surrounded the best vines. Les Clos is also the largest of the climats on the hill of the Grand Crus and the site stretches from the top to the bottom of the hillside with desirable southwest exposure and very homogeneous soil. The ideal sun exposure, soil and steep slope provide superb ripening conditions and the resulting wines are known for their power, texture, ageability and intense minerality while maintaining the characteristic racy acidity of Chablis.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

Established in 1435, the Mazzei family is one of Tuscany’s oldest wine dynasties and they have been cultivating vineyards and crafting fine wine for over 600 years, originally in Chianti Classico and now in Maremma, Sicily and Treviso as well. The Mazzei family purchased the land that became Belguardo in the mid-1990’s after an extensive search for a property that provided the best conditions to express international and indigenous grape varieties. The estate’s hilly topography, diverse soils and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea provide ideal conditions for high quality viticulture.

The family embarked on an intense vineyard replanting program immediately after the purchase to ensure the right selection of varietals and clones for each plot where gradients range from 10% to 19% and calcareous, rocky soils vary in texture and water retention.

Belguardo wines quickly gained global recognition for their quality and established the outstanding potential of the Maremma region.

Today, customized organic practices that focus on soil health, preservation of biodiversity and avoiding pesticides protect the land and its people, and the estate’s wines deliver complexity and concentration balanced with elegance and freshness.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES

2021 Belguardo V (Vermentino Superiore) MAREMMA

Belguardo’s prestige white wine is built to age like an iconic red.

Using specially selected vermentino clones, intentional terrain on the estate and a multistage winemaking process involving amphorae, steel vats and strategic skin contact, Belguardo V acquires great complexity and aging potential (12–15 years). The two Corsican clones give primary aromatics and the two Sardinian clones bring structure and savory notes.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

“The structured, elegant wines of Collio prove that Italy can make serious whites.”
– KERIN O’KEEFE, WINE ENTHUSIAST

Located in Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, Tenuta Borgo Conventi was established in 1975 and was named in homage to the first monastery (“convento”) founded in the town of Farra d’Isonzo on land donated by a noble family in the 17th century. Borgo Conventi’s white wines hail from the winery’s oldest vineyards in the hills of Collio, a DOC region known for producing exceptional and mineral-driven white wines due to its signature ponca soil series.

This unique soil is composed of marl and sandstone and contains marine fossils. The structure and elegance of the Collio white wines is also due to its ideal growing climate and location on the border of Slovenia and between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea, which features significant differences in daytime and nighttime temperatures, resulting in complexity. Tenuta Borgo Conventi has been owned and managed by the Moretti Polegato family since 2019

BRAND INTRODUCTION

“Boscarelli's finest two offerings of Vino Nobile . . . are among the most terroir-driven and complex of the area.”
– BRUCE SANDERSON, WINE SPECTATOR

The Poderi Boscarelli estate is the true "cru" of Vino Nobile, nestled among olive groves, broom bushes and oak trees. From this terroir, generations of the De Ferrari Corradi family have committed themselves to bringing forth the aromas and pure character of the Sangiovese grape, locally called Prugnolo Gentile, to reach its most elevated expression. The goal of Boscarelli is to globally

elevate this historic appellation of Tuscany through exceptional winegrowing and winemaking.

Globally recognized as a benchmark producer from Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Boscarelli focuses on expressive, terroir-driven Vino Nobile, producing traditional and riserva bottlings from their prized estate vineyards.

Located in the Northeast area of the Montepulciano appellation, which is situated in the south of Tuscany, the alluvial soils and favorable microclimate of the winery's vineyards are ideal for growing elegant Sangiovese.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

“Growers

are calling 2019 a classic vintage in terms of the growing season, primarily based on the delayed start and mid-October harvest, patterns not seen in the three vintages that preceded 2019 , nor in the years that have followed it.”

– BRUCE SANDERSON, ‘BAROLO’S EXEMPLARY 2019 VINTAGE’, WINE SPECTATOR

Cà Romé is a true family winery, nestled in the heart of Barbaresco. It was founded by Romano Marengo in 1980 after a 30-year career in the wine industry, during which he dreamed of making his own terroir-driven wines. Today it is run by Romano’s children, Winemaker Giuseppe Marengo and Director of Operations, Paola Marengo. The Cà Romé philosophy is reflected in the name: Cà is short for casa, which means “home” and refers to Romano’s home and a winery that is run by a family, not a corporation.

As winemaker, Giuseppe upholds his father’s use of traditional methods with long fermentations to bring out the fruit’s natural properties. The wines are matured in a mixture of Slavonian oak casks and barriques of varying sizes to emphasize balance in oak, fruit, and intensity. The rich body and firm tannins benefit from long bottle aging and will continue to develop for decades to come.

Cà Romé’s estate vineyards consist of three sites in Barbaresco and two vineyards in Serralunga D’Alba, which were inherited from Giuseppe’s grandmother, Maria di Brün. The Barbaresco vineyards are rich in marl soils that date back to the Tortonian-Messinian period, with a variety of mineral components that translate into the wines. The Serralunga D’Alba properties are also heavy in blue marl and are some of the oldest soils in Barolo. These two historic sites produce world-class, terroir-driven Barbaresco and Barolo wines that have quickly gained critical acclaim and a global reputation for excellence.

This single vineyard parcel was named after the Cerretta MGA, Serralunga d’Alba, and planted in 1961 with Nebbiolo Michet and Lampia covering 1.7 hectares.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

Established in 1435 , the Mazzei family is one of Tuscany’s oldest wine dynasties and they have been cultivating vineyards and crafting fine wine for over 600 years in Fonterutoli in the heart of Chianti Classico.

Leading the portfolio today are the Marchesi Mazzei, brothers Francesco and Filippo, as well as Filippo’s son Giovanni, the 25th generation.

While the family has always honored their legacy of producing acclaimed wines of extraordinary aromatic richness, balance and complexity, they are also leaders in viticulture and vinification.

The winery’s vineyards cover 110 hectares across 7 sub-zones of Chianti Classico, which are divided

into 114 plots featuring different soils, altitudes (720–1870 feet) and micro-climates. All vineyards are farmed with a commitment to reducing environmental impact and fostering sustainability.

From their state-of-the-art low-impact, gravity fed cellar to their massal selections and clonal research, the current generation pursues innovation that elevates their wines and protects the ecosystem.

This balance of preservation and evolution is rooted in the Castello di Fonterutoli, the historic family seat.

BRAND INTRODUCTION

After a five-year search, the Mazzei family discovered the land for Zisola in 2003 in southeast Sicily where Nero d’Avola is thought to have originated. The property is next to Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its Baroque buildings, and the family saw the potential of this site, rich in heritage and biodiversity. Zisola is comprised of 50 hectares with magnificent citrus, almond and olive groves. The estate’s sandy limestone mix and Mediterranean climate provide the perfect location to cultivate grapes. Over 24 hectares of traditional alberello (head-trained) vines, planted primarily to Nero d’Avola, comprise the estate vineyards and require over 400 hours of hand work per hectare each year. Subtle elevations (295425 feet) and open exposures allow the breezes from the Ionian Sea to moderate the summer heat. The

estate has always used customized organic practices that focus on soil health, preserving biodiversity and avoiding pesticides; today, it is certified BIO organic.

With Zisola, the Mazzei family imbue the rich heritage of the land with their centuries of winegrowing knowledge to deliver a new generation of acclaimed Sicilian wines that are concentrated and complex while still elegant and fresh.

2018 Doppiozeta (Nero d'Avola) SICILY

Nero d'Avola grapes are cultivated “ad albarello," which is the traditional Sicilian head-trained system requiring 400 hours of hand work per hectare each year.

This Zisola is unfiltered in every way with natural fermentation in small stainless steel tanks for 30 days, without any addition of yeast or temperature control, and spontaneous malolactic fermentation in oak. It's a super-Nero d'Avola, muscular with an explosion of fruit and spices and an elegant texture.
