Founded in 1961 by Joe Heitz, Heitz Cellar is one of the world’s most renowned wineries. Martha’s Vineyard, its most iconic wine, was the first single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley. “Vintages in the Villa” is a new luxury experience and collaboration between Stony Hill and luxury hotel & spa Bardessono in Napa Valley providing an exceptional, enriching wine education and tasting experience with unparalleled access to one of the world’s most esteemed wine regions. Through the “Ultimate Wine Enthusiast Package,” guests will receive a four-night Villa stay, Sommelier Series tastings with Master Sommelier Erik Elliott, specially curated tours and tastings to Heitz Cellar for The Rutherford Legacy at Trailside Vineyard & The Salon experience and to Stony Hill Vineyard for the Terroir Experience.
The story of Burgess includes Napa Valley history and 150 years of growth rooted in the stony soils of Howell Mountain, culminating in elegant wines.
The legacy of the Howell Mountain vineyard was passed to Winemaker Meghan Zobeck who implemented regenerative farming practices that will preserve the health of the vines and the “magic” of the wine from generation to generation.
The winery, located on the southern end of the Silverado Trail, recently underwent a complete transformation of space and gardens to truly reflect a new direction for Burgess.

Starting At Our Historic St. Andrews Vineyard, Guests Will Enjoy A Privately Guided Tour Of Our Meticulously Cultivated Vineyards Before Heading To Our Clos Abeille Vineyard For A Private Tasting Of Our Limited-Production, Single-Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons. THE ROAD TO INK GRADE
Journey from our Pavilion in St. Helena to our remote vineyard located on Howell Mountain. Guests will be privately guided along the iconic Ink Grade Road in a luxury Lexus SUV to our rugged vineyard site where they will be fully immersed in the terroir that renders fruit of great intensity and depth for our Ink Grade wines. Guests will then return to The Pavilion for a seated tasting to experience the essence of our Howell Mountain Estate.
