Aspire to be Hired continues to show strong progress in improving employability readiness among CTE students. Benchmarks in awareness, articulation, and application were met or exceeded in multiple performance indicators, particularly in platform engagement and workshop satisfaction. Continued expansion and integration into additional programs will position the college to achieve full implementation during the 2025–2026 academic year.

2024-2025: 55% of CTE students apply employability skills. 1,340- 413 Coaching, 927 students participants in events, mock interviews resume and career workshops, out of 2,436 QEP students.
Career Services transitioned the First Destination Survey from Qualtrics to the Handshake platform to streamline data collection and improve user experience.
Since Handshake is already widely used by students, this transition increases familiarity and encourages higher participation rates. Graduates may now selfreport employment, continuing education, or job search status directly through their profile, improving data reliability.
Early results show improved participation, and we anticipate continued increases in accuracy and reporting consistency to better support institutional planning and workforce alignment.
100% of CTE programs will provide an Aspire to be Hired employability skill lesson/ assignment that assesses the application of skill in at least one course.
65% of CTE students in targeted programs will apply employability skills through participation in mock interviews, resume reviews or other career development activities.
During the 2025–2026 academic year, the Aspire to be Hired initiative will expand to include the Child Development, Equine Science, and Horticulture programs.
With these additions, 100% of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs will include an embedded QEP assignment. In total, 76 embedded assignments will provide students opportunities to demonstrate professional skills through awareness, articulation, and application curriculum activities.
This expansion strengthens student employability and increases workforce readiness.
