A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT WARREN SIBLEY Yet another year has flown by and we hope you have been able to enjoy the new spaces around the Club. We’ve received wonderful feedback and will continue to tweak as we go. I’m sure you’ve noticed the bathrooms in our main Clubhouse are being renovated.

That work will be wrapped up at the beginning of January. We are almost done with our bridge work on the golf course. We’ve moved the bridge on 17 Blue.

The bridge replacement and out of the sight line move is a welcome addition to an already great hole.

You’ve also seen the dirt moving on the area between The Elm dining room and the pool; just outside the Royal Room. We are leveling that area and changing the grass to Bermuda. It will serve us so well every day, not to mention during our annual celebrations like the 4th of July.

Even though January and February can be the calmest time of year around the Club, there are several items to be aware of. We will be electing new members for the Board of Directors. They will be announced at our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 9th.

Lastly, December 31st was the last day of work for Kevin Nettles. So many of you have shared stories and told us how much he and his family have meant to you and to the greater DAC family. Words fail to capture how loved Kevin is and how much he will be missed. While we are actively endeavoring to find a new superintendent, we are not looking for his replacement, for that person cannot be found. Kevin truly is one-of-a-kind.

From the Desk of Cari Wheatley Whenever I think about the New Year, I cannot help but to look back and assess all we accomplished.

2021 at Dallas Athletic Club was a year full of change and growth as we rolled out an upgraded App, renovated both of the locker rooms, added a locker room patio, renovated The Elm Dining Room, added a new membership category and shaped a membership waitlist that gets a little bit longer each week.

Was this a year of change for your family? Have you recently moved, changed your phone number or email address, or perhaps had a new addition to your family? As we begin 2022, it is imperative that we have your correct information on file. This allows us to keep you well informed and up to speed on social events, special announcements and update you on new information at your Club.

Course Conditions with Kevin Nettles, Recently Retired Superintendent First and foremost, I would like to thank you all for the wonderful retirement party that was held for me at DAC this past December. I am truly grateful for such a wonderful place to have worked and for the outstanding membership at DAC. I would like to also give you all a quick update on a few projects going on out on the course and grounds. The new retaining wall as well as the pool yard construction is expected to be completed by the first of the year. The 17 Blue Bridge is also scheduled to be completed just after the first of the year with new cart paths, sod, and grading.

I am very thankful for you all and wish you the very best! Thank you for making DAC my home away from home, I will forever cherish the time I have spent here.

A Message from Natalia Prinz We are very excited to enter the New Year with the new Tennis Membership category within DAC! We are so pleased with more and more members participating in events, clinics, lessons and leagues and we hope to grow our tennis program even more in 2022.

We will provide more opportunities to play and socialize with

friends and families for players of all levels and ages. We will also continue with TCD, USTA, Metro, and Intraleagues. There will be four Junior Nights this year that were very well received by our future stars and junior players last year.
