ADVENTURE SPORTS CAMP AGES 5 - 12

The activities portion of the Adventure Sports Camp will bring kids together through sports and interactive activities.

Your child must be able to swim without assistance in order to enjoy the Free Swim portion of Adventure camp.

Where all the Summer Fun Begins!

The Adventure Sports Camp consists of two groups, divided by age. Each group features sport and recreational activities tailored to their age and skill level. Each session includes lunch and an afternoon snack.

Our goal at Dallas Athletic Club is to provide a safe and fun environment for your child to learn and improve their tennis and golf skills while introducing the intricacies of these sports and also enjoying time in the pool.

PROPER GEAR Adventure Campers should be prepared for three different activities. See Tennis and Golf for details. A swimsuit and sunscreen are required for your camper to bring to camp as well.

To register your child, complete the Registration and Medical Release Forms by scanning the QR Code or visiting the Dallas Athletic Club website. One child per application must be submitted.

REGISTER YOUR CAMPER TODAY!

PROPER ATTIRE See Tennis and Golf ‘Proper Attire’ section for individual camp details.

The kids will have camp counselors to participate in the fun with them, in addition to the golf, tennis and fitness coaches.

Children may bring their own tennis racket, golf clubs and swimming suit.

Parents should make sure their child’s items are properly labeled with their name.

Don’t have equipment? That’s okay. We can provide sports equipment for your child; except for swimsuits.

Each day the campers will participate in golf, tennis, fitness and swim activities. In addition, there will also be fun, interactive activities each day. *All campers must have a medical release form to complete the camper’s registration.

JUNIOR GOLF CAMP AGES 5 - 12

Drive, Pitch, Putt!

Our goal at Dallas Athletic Club is to provide a safe and fun environment for your child to learn and improve their golf skills.

Our mission is to develop our Juniors to have a love for the game, an enthusiasm for learning, and a respect and awareness for the great game of golf.

PROPER GEAR If you do not have golf clubs for your child, we can furnish them.

If your child does have clubs, please note that many clubs are the same, so please have them properly labeled with your child’s name.

PROPER ATTIRE Proper attire must be worn on the golf course. Blue Jeans, tank tops, t-shirts, athletic jerseys, and swimwear are not permitted. Hats are required to be worn with the bill facing forward. Junior golfers must tuck their shirts during Junior Golf Camp. The professional staff will enforce the dress code.

JUNIOR PROGRAMS: These classes are three days a week throughout the entire year.

Kids are

pushed a little harder on their technique, footwork, and concentration.

Our goal

in these classes is to have the kids tournament ready!

SUMMER CAMPS: The DAC Summer Tennis camps are a great way to be introduced to the great game. All tennis drills and activities are catered to the camper’s age and ability level. The kids are served lunch, and free swim is optional in the afternoon!

JUNIOR PROGRAMS: TOURNAMENT TOUGH /JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT Green/Yellow Ball - Ages 11-18 Players that are ready and skilled enough to take the next step and start tournament play.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 2:00 - 3:30 pm JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT Orange /Green Ball - Ages 5-10 Players that are just starting to play. Classes will focus on stroke development, footwork, scoring, and fun!

Focus will be on balance, strokes, movement, and of course fun!

Clubkids Tennis Camps are a great way to introduce your children to the game of tennis. The Camps focus on stroke production, movement, scoring, playing and having fun!

SWIM LESSONS S tren gth en you r swi mmi n g ski l l s a t DAC !

PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS (YOUTH & ADULTS)

Great for beginners all the way up to advanced level swimmers who are interested in a more personalized swimming instruction. Swimmers must be two (2) years old to participate in swim lessons at the DAC. Private lessons are to be scheduled directly with the instructor and run Tuesday-Friday throughout the Summer. Spaces are limited so please be in consideration of cancellations for swim lessons. All lesson cancellations, other than inclement weather, must be made seven (7) days prior to receive a full refund.

PRIVATE LESSONS: 30-Minute Sessions: $50 per lesson SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS:

45-Minute Sessions: $45 per swimmer each lesson

DAY/TIME:

Private lessons are held throughout the summer, Tuesday-Friday, to best fit your schedule. Sign up directly with your swim instructor. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule with our availability.

GROUP LESSONS A great way for your child to develop a love for the water with their friends.

Maximum of five (5) children per session.

BABY DOLPHINS

for Beginning Swimmers (Ages 2-6) Swimmers enrolled in this class will focus on gaining independence and confidence in the water. The focus of Baby Dolphins will be on swimmers submerging their face in the water, strengthening kicks with assistance from instructor/kickboard, and beginning stage of front crawl (freestyle) swim to jump into the water, turn, and exit the pool.

STROKE CLINIC

for Independent Swimmers looking to learn/improve their strokes. (Ages 5-12) Swimmers in stroke clinic must be able to easily swim the length of a 25-yard pool with their face in the water without assistance.

Swimmers not yet able to swim this distance are encouraged to sign up for private swim lessons. The focus of stroke clinic will be on learning, improving, and gaining confidence in all four swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) and diving.

OUR SWIM TEAM IS OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THEIR SWIMMING SKILLS (AGES 5-16) The group of DAC Dolphin coaches are dedicated to making sure your summer swim team experience is smooth, safe, successful, and fun! The DAC swim team is a great place to make friends, strengthen your swimming skills, and have fun competing with other local country clubs.

NEW SWIMMERS WELCOME IS MY CHILD READY? The DAC swim team is a memberonly team open to ages 5-16. We hold a new swimmer evaluation each summer to help parents determine if they should join the swim team or continue one more year of swim lessons. These dates will be coming soon. DID YOU KNOW the DAC Dolphins were DSSL champions three years in a row!

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequently Asked Questions WHAT IS CLUBKIDS SUMMER CAMP? Clubkids Summer Camp is a total of three different Summer Camps; Adventure Camp, Junior Golf Camp, and Junior Tennis Camp. Camps are for kids ages 5-12, with theme days, swimming (not lessons), sports, games, and much more! Clubkids Camp are a non-stop creative, entertaining, engaging and safe summer camps filled with excitement!

ARE THE CAMPERS IN AGE GROUPS? Yes, but not all the time. To keep some games and activities age-appropriate, campers are put into the various groups depending on what grade level they just completed. Campers with friends in different groups will still have the opportunity to interact together during meals, snacks, swim time, and many other games and activities that are manageable and safe for varying ages.

WHAT ARE THE CAMP DATES? Adventure Camp Sessions are July 6-9, and July 20-23. Junior Golf Sessions are June 15-18, June 22-25, and July 13-16. Junior Tennis Sessions are June 15-18, June 22-25, and July 13-16.

DO I NEED TO PRE-REGISTER? Yes. Registration opens on March 2 and is open all summer, or register as you go.

Registering for Camp is easy. Simply scan the QR code on the camp page or log on to the website to fill out the registration form, the medical release form, and submit. Once your form is submitted, you can add, change/ cancel your registration by simply emailing us at sdavis@dacstaff.org. If you need to add or can­cel a day, send your email by 7:00 p.m. the evening prior to the day your camper will or will not attend.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM TO PARTICIPATE IN ADVENTURE CAMP? Yes, your child is required to know how to swim without any assistance.

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING EACH DAY TO CAMP? A swimsuit and sunscreen, as well as the proper attire for each camp.

WHAT ARE PICK-UP AND DROP OFF TIMES? You can drop off starting at 8:45 am and pick up at the end time of camp.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING LUNCH EACH DAY TO CAMP? Your Summer Camp registration fee includes lunch, drink, and a snack each day. Outside food is not permitted. Don’t worry if your child(ren) has special dietary needs.

Our food and beverage staff will work with you to make sure your children get what they need to eat!

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS SPECIAL NEEDS (ALLERGIES, ETC.)?

A Medical Release Form must be completed for each registered child prior to the first day of clubkids Summer Camp. The form includes a section related to special needs and is a part of your registration form.

You can also speak to the counselor on the first day of camp. We keep this form on file and readily available to our counselors to ensure the highest level of safety for your kids.

ARE GUESTS ALLOWED? No, guests are not allowed to enroll in Summer Camps at DAC.
