DGFT amends FTP to permit invoicing, payment & settlement in Rupee
NEW DELHI: The Government has amended the Foreign Trade Policy to allow International Ttrade invoicing, payment and settlement in the Indian Rupee. The move activate the mechanism announced by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to facilitate trade in the domestic currency. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had in July this year asked banks to put in place additional arrangements for export and import transactions in Indian rupees in view of increasing interest of the global trading community in the domesticcurrency.Toaligntheforeign trade policy (FTP) with this decision of the RBI, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Union Ministry of Commerce paymentandIndustry,addedanewparagraphintheFTP.“Para2.52(d)isnotifiedtopermitinvoicing,andsettlementofexportsandimportsin

The containers meant for movement by road to inland destinations will be dispatched upon receipt of required documents from consignees/receivers and the consignees will be liable for payment of port storage charges in case of delay in submission of these documents. Our Surveyors are M/s. Zircon Marine Services Private Limited. and usual survey conditions will apply. Consignees are also requested to note that the carriers and their agents are not bound to send individual notification regarding the arrival of the vessel or the cargo.
