JN Port’s Throughput jumps MbPT receives State Coastal Authority permission for constructing 65% in April 2021 (YoY) Offshore Container Berths & Terminal MUMBAI: The Mumbai Port Trust is constructing two Offshore Container Berths and an offshore Terminal and received permission from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority for it on April 20. The Mumbai Port Trust told the Government that there was no reclamation required and that it was an extension of earlier projects wherein two docks were filled up. The Mumbai Port Trust has already completed two Berths and approach trestle, capital dredging for berth pocket, filling of Princes and Victoria Dock, rail container depot, approach channel and turning circle dredging. The port is now in process of procuring cargo handling equipment, developing container yard and conducting capital dredging.

JN Port registered a throughput of 468,033 TEUs in the month of April 2021, as compared to 283, 802 TEUs recorded in April 2020, a jump of almost 65%, owing to the unremitting efforts and commitment of its entire workforce and stakeholders, informed a recent communique from JN Port.

NEW DELHI: The Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari recently informed that, “We made it to the Guinness World Records by building a 2.5 km 4-lane concrete road within 24 hours and a 1-lane 25-km bitumen Solapur-Bijapur road Cont’d. Pg. 15 within 24 hours.”
