Cross Trade Shipping conducts 1st Sign On/Off of Indian Seafarers at Deendayal Port amid lockdown GANDHIDHAM: The Ministry of Home Affairs via its order N o . 4 0 - 3 / 2 0 2 0 - D M - I ( A ) dated 21st April 2020 allowed the Indian Seafarers to be Signed on/off at Indian Ports. The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) notified the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) vide Order No. 12 of 2020, dated 22nd April 2020 with stringent guidelines for conducting Indian seafarers Sign on/off wherein DGS itself got involved in monitoring and issuing the e-pass. After these 2 orders notified by the Govt authorities, the first crew change at Deendayal Port Trust has been conducted by Cross Trade Shipping, (between 27th April Cont’d. APM Terminals Pipavav provides PPE kits to the district administration PIPAVAV: To assist and ensure the wellbeing of healthcare personnel who are fighting this pandemic at the forefront, APM Terminals Pipavav provided PPE kits to the district administration for the COVID-19 hospital at Amreli district. The consignment included masks, face shields, protective full suits, disposable bed sheets, disposable pillow covers etc. These PPE kits will be used by the frontline health warriors, working in the district hospital to protect the community during this pandemic. In these challenging times, healthcare workers are working day and night to serve the community. This is a small contribution from the port to protect the healthcare workers by ensuring their safety.
