2013 Shenendehowa Rotary Scholarship CLIFTON PARK – Shenendehowa Rotary is accepting applications for a $500 Scholarship that is awarded annually to a graduating senior in the Shenendehowa School District community. The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who is judged to display the best combination of dedication to school, community, work and plans for the future. Students currently attending Shenendehowa High School should contact the guidance office for an application and submission deadlines. The application form and deadline for those applicants not attending Shenendehowa HS can be found at www.shenrotary.org. Shenendehowa Rotary is celebrating over fifty years as a service organization changing and saving lives in our community, through our professions, and throughout the world. Volunteer Opportunities to Help Seniors SO. SARATOGA COUNTY – Sometimes we feel better about ourselves when we do something to make someone else’s life better. You can have a chance to start the New Year off by giving a little of your time as a Care Links’ volunteer. This program helps anyone 60+ with services that help them stay in their homes. Transportation, visiting, respite, shopping and chores are some of the non-medical services provided residents in Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Malta and Mechanicville. PTA to Award Scholarships
CLIFTON PARK – The Okte Elementary School PTA will once again award three (3) graduating Shenendehowa Seniors with a $500 scholarship. The eligible students must meet the following criteria: attended Okte for at least two years; has a satisfactory academic record; participates in extra-curricular activities, employment, and/or special circumstances; will attend a two-year or four-year college in the fall. Applications may be obtained in the High School East Counseling Center and should be submitted with two letters of recommendation no later than March 1, 2013.
