The aim of the co-curricular activity (CCA) programme is to provide additional activities to cater for a wide range of interests In turn, the programme will create healthy, confident, creative, socially adept and culturally aware individuals

SOCS
CCA sign-ups are completed on SOCS. Please ensure you are familiar with this system and more information can be found on the here. We use a preferential system which enables you to add your second and third choices. The ‘selection’ process for all CCAs is not first come, first served. Therefore, when you select an activity you are not automatically registered. Allocations are completed by the CoCurricular team. If your child has already been registered for an invite only CCA and you do not want them to attend, please email cca@cranleigh.ae
Recommendations
We suggest the following number of CCAs are undertaken per week:
FS2 - The CCA programme runs after school on Monday to Thursday, 15:00 - 16:00 with externally provided paid activities on offer The maximum number of CCAs is 2 per child per week
Year 1 and 2 - The CCA programme runs after school on Monday to Thursday, 15:00 - 16:00 with a broad range of internally provided clubs available, as well as external paid activities The maximum number of CCAs is 3 per child per week.

Additional Information: 4LSA swim programs are divided into different levels, each one of them focuses on specific outcomes that allow every child the opportunity to learn and develop in a safe environment, at their own pace The program focuses on the fundamentals of swimming to provide children with lifelong skills and an appreciation for the water. Additional Information: The Arabic Club, facilitated by the Beit Arabi Center. It’s a creativity club that aims to introduce and foster fundamental aspects of the Arabic language including reading, writing, conversation, and simple grammar in an interactive way Children will participate in storytelling exercises, where they will identify target words, enrich their vocabulary and recognition of Arabic sight words. Puppets, drama games, paint, and crafts along with physical activities are utilized to provide a multisensory learning experience
RFLCT - Art Club

Additional Information: RFLCT Art provides students with opportunities for artistic expression and skill development. The class promotes creativity, self expression and teamwork amongst the students. Additional Information: Ballet will help students build the basic concepts of dance (body/action, space, body awareness, rhythm, coordination, balance and social skills) while learning the fundamental elements of classical ballet technique The goals of this class are to build correct alignment, strengthen the core, learn and execute key vocabulary and skills. This class prepares students to enter more advanced levels of ballet, and serves to strengthen their skills in other dance styles

Additional Information: Our Beginner and Advanced Martial Arts program are taught using Emirates Karate award winning life skills curriculum. Students will learn the importance of respect, selfdiscipline, perseverance, self-defense and confidence. Karate means "empty hand". Engineers To Be Workshops
