In FY23, Lockton made US$17m in global charitable donations to over 250 different beneficiaries across the world.
These included organisations and nonprofits either fighting food insecurity, supporting healthcare facilities and first responders, providing mental health and social services (fighting systemic inequality and racial injustice) and other services such as domestic violence shelters, animal welfare and community initiatives.
In response to the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that devastated Turkey and Syria earlier this year, Lockton made a US$100,000 donation through the Lockton Cares Fund to World Central Kitchen (WCK). WCK’s Relief Team was on the ground partnering with restaurants and not-for-profits
to provide meals to over 70 shelters across the region. Lockton’s donation provided more than 30,000 meals.
In Australia, Lockton are proud supporters of cancer research through the Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research, raising >$75k in 2022.
Every year, Lockton participates in the MACA Cancer 200, a 200km ride in support of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
In 2022, Lockton raised over $75,000. This equates to countless hours of research, supporting several endeavours including a brain cancer project focused on turning off genes designed to repair cancer cells, and research into new modes of cancer drug delivery to treat cancer cells more quickly.
I’m so proud to once again be supporting this important cause on behalf of the Lockton team. Cancer has directly affected my family, so it’s an absolute honour to be able to raise funds to support the Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research. The Institute’s incredible research helps provide families more time with the people they love. Listening to the riders’ stories each year and the reason why people participate in the ride, especially the survivors, is such a humbling experience.
