Music & Community at the Clarence Hall!

The Clarence Hall hosted two diverse and memorable nights of music last month, highlighting the talents of the exceptional artists and the vibrant spirit of the local community. Both events demonstrated the importance of the space as a community hub.

Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Band delivered a dynamic evening of classic soul hits. Organised by Global Promotions, the event had everyone on their feet, dancing and enjoying the enduring power of soul music. The recent upgrade to the hall’s performance lighting added a new dimension to the evening, enhancing the atmosphere and showcasing the potential of this flexible space.

Later in the month, local singer songwriter Tanya Walker performed an emotive set of piano-driven folk and pop, including her award-winning song “Good Days, Bad Days”. Supported by the Black Mountain Festivals, Tanya was joined by the Alive & Kickin’ Community Choir and other guest performers, creating an evening of music that resonated deeply with the audience.

These events underline the vital role the Clarence Hall plays in bringing high-quality cultural experiences to the heart of Crickhowell.

Remembrance

We were moved by the beautiful poppy display created by the Knit & Natter group in honour of Remembrance. The display at the Clarence Hall served as a poignant reminder of those who sacrificed so much. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and talent – you created something special for our community to reflect upon.
