CRICKHOWELL’S
CL ARENCE HALL NEWSLETTER & WHAT’S ON Simply Nails!
Crickhowell Open Studios
Age Cymru Powys run a monthly ‘Simply Nails’ footcare service at the Clarence Hall to help the over 50s stay comfortable on their feet.
After an absence of two years, the Crickhowell Open Studios event returns over the Jubilee Weekend. Over 26 venues across the locality will showcase the wonderful art and creativity that the area inspires. Each venue will be identi ed by the distinctive red arrows which have been such a familiar sight in previous years, allowing you to curate your own art trail. Studios and venues are free to visit.
There is a small fee for each appointment and you will have to purchase your own kit from Age Cymru Powys. The team works in conjunction with Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) Podiatry Service and all of the staff and volunteers are trained by PTHB. Nail-cutting is by appointment only, so please call Age Cymru Powys on 01686 623707 to register.
The Clarence Hall is, once again, hosting Torfaen Arts, a diverse group of both amateur and professional artists living within Torfaen. All the works being exhibited are for sale, so please pop in and celebrate with us on 3-5 June, 10am-5pm. More information can be found in the Open Studios brochure, available at the following link: https://issuu.com/ahgraphicdesign/docs/ 019-22_cric_open_studios_guide_2022_for_issuu_20-
Crickhowell stands with Ukraine Many thanks to everyone who joined us last month for the ‘Crickhowell Stands with Ukraine’ Music & Entertainment Festival. We are delighted to con rm that the day’s activities raised over £7,000 for displaced refugees from Ukraine who come to Wales. Congratulations to Frank and Sam Ady, and the steering group who co-ordinated the event!
